History

Established in 2014.

ThreadsRefined all started when our founder Codie Sanchez Baker needed clothes for her next business trip. She didn’t have the time or desire to go to the mall and agonize over outfits. Trying to save time she recruited an in-​store stylist (aka glorified sales person) from the store to help her. After seeing she liked none of the clothes, she put on the most ridiculous item just to see what they would say. Wouldn’t you know it was «you look amazing in ruffles!» Why? They just want the commission of course.

After shopping, she often felt exhausted, dejected and with buyer’s remorse. Between those awful fluorescent dressing room lights, the sales pitches, and the piles of clothes, something needs to change. That’s why at ThreadsRefined we do things differently. Our personal stylists find the brands that work for you, style what you own and help you stand out.

We’re a company run by people who love fashion, are obsessed with customer service and think these days celebrities shouldn’t be the only ones with their own personal stylist. We’ve seen all that goes into looking red carpet ready and realized that every man and woman could look their absolute best if they had a trusted confidant to help them. That’s why we don’t sell clothes, we aren’t focused on making you buy buy buy, we are however focused on getting you styled.
