Established in 2001.

Licensed general contractor for 13 years. Began specializing in energy efficiency projects in 2007. Building Performance Institute (BPI) and EPA certified.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

For four generations my forefathers have been masters of heat. My great grandfather Alex was a pipefitter and boilermaker. His son, my grandfather Nick, was a boiler system commissioner — he fired the boiler in the first Chicago Marriott hotel. His son, my father Dave, designed and buillt metal-​melting foundry systems across the midwest.

As a remodeler, homebuilder and mechanical contractor over the last 15 years I expanded my knowledge base to include all the trades and systems in homes and buildings. I wasn’t satisfied with the way buildings were being designed and built, because I always saw opportunities to improve the way those buildings performed.

I then trained with the Building Performance Institute to gain the skills I needed to quantify poor building performance and make the precise analysis building owners require when deciding which energy saving improvements to implement.

Personal — I’m Chicago native, married with 2 kids, enjoy the outdoors and work with nonprofits.
