Brixen Ivy

This place is amazing! The staff is very friendly and helpful (even through the terribly hot weather on the day we were there). Dan, the General Manager, was extremely accommodating to my dietary restrictions, and our whole group was impressed by the hospitality provided. The food was great, the drinks were cold, and we had a wonderful time. I wouldn’t go to any other rooftop club. Definitely check this place out!

Fantastic venue for a corporate event. Although the atmosphere was very casual, the service was top-​level, which made it very appropriate for a corporate event – from the moment they check you in at the door to the moment you depart. Friendly staff, clean facilities, delicious food, unlimited beer and wine, and great views of Wrigley Field. I booked the clubhouse level for my corporate event and the balcony was more than adequate to view the game but for those who wanted a closer look, there were TVs. We did get to go up to the rooftop even though another group had it booked just to sneak a peek of the amazing views. It was a very unique experience versus sitting in the stadium or getting an expensive skybox.

Brixen Ivy is the best. The staff are all amazing, lots of choices for drinks, and great game day food. We had my parents with us my Moms not a beer drinker so I was told there was a wine bar, awesome. I asked the woman working there for a sweet wine she said they didn’t have any real sweet but she’d grab a sprite and make a spritzer how nice was that, and my Mom was thrilled. The view was amazing though we spent more time chatting then actually watching the game you could see the field perfectly. A Chicago must do!

This has GOT to be Wrigley’s best rooftop! Wonderful service, good food, fabulous view of the ball park… what more can you ask for? Your ultimate Cubs experience starts at Brixen Ivy!

From my first communication with Ryan through planning and the live event, Brixenivy made my husband’s 50^th party a hit. Great environment, super friendly staff, tasty food and flowing beer and wine. Perfect!

My husband & I came to Brixen Ivy with two friends from out of town this past weekend. I’m usually a bit skeptical about the rooftop deals for Cubs game because it seems tough to «get your money’s worth,» but I couldn’t have been more wrong about Brixen Ivy.
I liked that the doors opened 60 minutes prior to the game as opposed to only 30 minutes like some of the places nearby. The staff was SUPER nice, too. My flip flop broke on my way up the stairs and the bartender on the main level was very helpful and found two different kinds of tape so I could try to fix it well enough to get through the game. She went above & beyond the usual call of duty.
The view from the stadium seats was awesome. We were surprised how much of the field we could actually see. We basically only missed the warning track portion of left field, but had a clear view of the rest of the outfield, the infield, and a straight shot to home plate.
All of us were commenting on how good the food was and that we appreciated the «made-​to-​order» aspect of the grilled food instead of just picking something out of a warming tray. Even the pasta salad, orzo salad & two potato salads seemed to have more of a homemade quality to them.
The rooftop was sold out, but it never felt over crowded. We were never more than 2 or 3 people deep in the line to get another drink (and the fun names on the cups were a good touch to keep track of your own cup). And this was even with most people moving indoors because of the rain.
All in all, I would definitely check out Brixen Ivy again for my next rooftop experience. :)

I’ve been to my share of rooftops, and Brixen Ivy is by far the best one. The staff is was super friendly, the food was incredibly good, the view is amazing, the bathrooms were clean, the beer was COLD and it doesn’t hurt that the cubs have won every time I’ve been here :). Will be back again for sure!

I’ve been to a number of rooftops, and Brixen provided far and away the best experience. They really get customer service — their staff was friendly and out of their way helpful. One staff member saw me holding multiple cups, and stopped what he was doing to run and open the door I was walking towards. The food was a notch above the others I’ve had, and the beer was cold! I’ll be back.

Had my bachelor party there… it was awesome! great views, bartenders, food, seats… all in all a great trip. What made it best was the friendly staff there. When I go back to Chicago for a game, will hope to be lucky enough to watch it at Brixen Ivy!

If you’re going to do a rooftop, this is where to do it. Incredibly friendly staff, good food, clean, decent view and it’s not overcrowded. My favorite rooftop experience ever.

Never again. Bought at the center field rooftop, got bumped to the far left field rooftop, too crowded, food awful, offered a meager consolidation for a very bad time. Never again… buyer beware unless you are a big corporation, you will never know what you will end up with.

By far the best rooftop to watch the Cubs play. Bathrooms are really clean, food is way above average and drinks are really good. The staff were really friendly and my group had a blast here. Will come back here for sure!

Great experience with the Brixen Ivy! It was nearing the end of this awful, awful Chicago baseball season and I was wanting to get some friends together for a rooftop experience. After reaching out to several rooftops and receiving absurd prices for what I knew must be an «off time,» Jared at the Brixen Ivy was incredibly responsive and fair to my group’s needs. He was very informative and easy to work with.
The Brixen Ivy is literally the last rooftop down the left field line, but you still have a great view of the game. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and we enjoyed the beer selection at bars throughout the three floors, especially the 312 on draft! Another thing that I really loved about the Brixen Ivy was that they were cooking the food to order. There was a huge grill and you ordered through a window. Instead of picking a hamburger patty up from a tray that’s been sitting out forever, you receive hot, fresh food. I definitely recommend the Italian sausage. They also scatter trays of cookies and brownies towards the middle of the game which everyone was noshing on after a few beers. My only gripe with the Brixen Ivy is the small bleacher seating area. I literally didn’t get to sit down the entire game because these seats were always full. I had no problem getting a table behind that area, but I would say this rooftop is not the best if you actually want to intently watch the Cubs game (that particular day we actually won so I would have liked to watch!). Not a huge deal-​breaker because of all the other benefits. Additionally, the Brixen Ivy is clean! It was recently redone, so everything is very nice and the bathrooms were the best I’ve seen in Wrigleyville. Overall, a fantastic place for a group to experience Wrigley’s rooftops.

Hmmmm, the view was okay, the food was okay, the beer selection was okay, the seating and bleacher areas were SMALL! Basically, I felt like it was more money than it should’ve been. I’ve been to other rooftops and saw the larger seating areas as we had to either watch the game from a screen downstairs or lean on a bar on the rooftop, and I wished that I had bought one of the other rooftop seats.

We bought tickets from travelzoo for this rooftop for the Brad Paisley concert. It was my bachelorette party and after the purchase I was so nervous, What if we can’t see a thing, what if the food sucks, what if the drinks are awful and cheap and watered down?
I LOVE THIS ROOFTOP! The view — amazing, The Food — amazing, the Staff — amazing.
The food was burgers, hot dogs, sausages, chicken sandwich and veggie burgers, along with potato salad, fruit salad, veggies and pasta salad. They also had bags of chips and later came out with cookies, brownies and ice cream. The wine selection was good, not super high end but decent and drinkable wines. I loved that there were lots of options, stadium seating on the top floor, and bar type seating on the second floor. Also, plenty of bathrooms and everything was super clean. Really though, the staff tipped the 5 star amazing scale. They were SUPER friendly and fun — I even joked they were so nice they must be from Wisconsin.
This place made my night!

I recently went to watch a game here and had a great time! I liked a bunch of things:
— Great view of the field
— Very friendly and helpful staff
— Really clean
— Good selection of beers
The reason I gave a four star review instead of five is the food, which is just ok. I would still highly recommend checking this place out.

I went to Brixen Ivy recently for the Paul McCartney concert. Per the website, and my knowledge of their location to the field I wasn’t expecting too much in terms of visibility. In fact, there is a disclaimer on the website that says you may not be able to see the show at all depending on how they position the stage. But I didn’t go to see McCartney on stage; I went to hear McCartney live (and it was incredible!)
That’s just the generals though, let’s get to know Brixen-​Ivy a little better:
Walking into the establishment there is an awning that protects you from in-​climate weather, and a polite doorman who makes sure you are «on-​the-​list.» The doorman wasn’t pushy and wished us a good time (and a good night when we left.)
The first level is a very clean bar and indoor seating area. The bar is well stocked with a great variety of beers (I didn’t ask about liquor… it was Sunday). There are TVs just about everywhere (on every floor) so that you never miss a bit of the action. The night of the concert the power was out and so it was a bit hot, but the staff did everything they could to make sure everyone was comfortable (I’m not very much for indoors viewing, so on to my favorite floor).
The next level up is by far the best. It is half outdoor deck with table seating, and half enclosed standing room with a breakdown bar in the back. The outdoor seating area was awesome! It has a fantastic view of the stadium, and although you couldn’t see McCartney… it sounded as clear as if we were on the field. We spent 90% of our time here.
The very top level has bleacher seating and a hybrid standing and seating room with a breakdown bar. The bleacher seating is probably the best for a sunny Cubs game. It’s really a decent angle of the field. The stairwell leading up to this area is completely enclosed in glass (very classy).
Like others have mentioned, the staff is incredibly friendly. The manager can be seen running around, making introductions and accommodating the guests. Again, as others have said, this is definitely a more classy Rooftop — devoid of the 21-​drunk-​club (if you’ve been to Wrigley Rooftops you know what I’m talking about). I didn’t notice too many «drunk strangers» as I saw in a different review but that was just my experience.
Food is good, it’s not a five-​star restaurant… but if that’s what you’re looking for you’re probably doing it wrong.
Bottom-​line: Nice, Classy, Fun, Clean

I’d give it 4 stars if I was here for a baseball game but as far as concert views go, it’s definitely limited (as are the rest of the rooftops). We only saw a sliver of the stage but it was still cool to watch the Paul McCartney light show and pyrotechnics. The sound was spectacular too.
Food is decent — large choice of sandwiches and toppings (love when I get to «drag my dog through the garden» aka make a Chicago dog). However, the only side dishes were pasta and fruit salad. When I’m eating a dog I’d really like some french fries or something substantial other than chips (which were also available).
Great selection of beers — 312, Corona, Bud Light Lime… nice to see something other than just BL and Bud Heavy. The staff was super nice especially since the power was out in parts of the building due to a fire in the alley. They did their best to accommodate us and add substantial lighting to ensure our safety. All around a nice, clean, nondescript rooftop that’s a great place to watch a game.
