Stonebridge Ranch

Since last year when I wrote my very first review about Stonebridge it has gotten even better!!! I was able to move into one of the renovated apartments and I love it. My old apartment was great but now with all of the new appliances, fixtures and granite I feel like I am living large but not breaking the bank. I got an even bigger apartment on the 3^rd floor with a great pool view. I have referred some of my friends and co-​workers to live here and they love it so far. There is a real good vibe for relaxing by the pool and just hanging with my girlfriends. Next month they are having a volleyball tournament with FREE rent giveaways. You better believe I am in on that. Come check out one of the renovated apartments, they are beautiful and comfy just my style. Love my little home.

First off I want to say how friendly and helpful everyone is at Stonebridge, they really want you to feel welcome and happy living here. All of the facilities are clean and well kept, my friend was here visiting and said it almost felt like she was on vacation at a nice resort. That’s what gave me the nudge to share my thoughts. Everything she was impressed with I already knew but to hear it from someone that has never visited me at the property to say it and want to move here says a lot. Stonebridge is the place if ur looking for friendly and modern living in the valley.

I moved from Indiana to Az about 3 yrs ago and I just love love Stonebridge Ranch. The amenities are great. I love the landscaping. The club house is so comforting and inviting. I love to go and just relax by the fireplace and enjoy a starbucks coffee that they provide with a Varity of creamers I might add. I really enjoy the resort type décor. The staff is very warm and friendly.
My family really enjoy the fun activities management puts together to make our complex a fun and exciting place to live. I would recommend Stonebridge to anyone looking for a fun and beautiful complex. They are also pet friendly. I haven’t had any issue with my Sadie girl.
I do have to add how prompt maintenance is when I had an issue. So if you want a beautiful and fun complex then you should check out Stonebridge.

We have lived here 3 years and have had our ups and downs. Stonebridge Ranch started out as a great place but has gone to shit since the management change. When John was on the property things went great and if there were any issues they were handled fairly. Since the was promoted we have had nothing but issues with the front office staff and they are extremely rude.
We have received notices about our dogs barking despite the fact that they have bark collars and this is a pet friendly community (it’s in the lease that you just need to show you are doing everything you can to keep them reasonable.). Speaking of reasonable, we have worked with others to test it and the only time they bark is if someone is at the door or they hear another dog bark and it doesn’t last long. We have had neighbors leave harassing notes (which cause barking because they are at the door) and the office would not do anything about it.
We had an issue where they told us the wrong amount for rent. We called to verify because we thought something was wrong and we were assured it was right. Two weeks later they wanted the difference and late fees which are $ 25 a day. We offered to pay the difference but fought the late fees which would have totaled $ 350 due to the fact that we called to verify the amount and the error was on their end. They finally agreed not to bill us after 2 days of arguing. It should not have taken this much since it was their error and we even double checked it with them.
I work until 12a-​1a so I don’t get to bed until late. The landscaping starts as early as 7a. The landscapers are inconsiderate and do things like bang on the windows. I have called and reported it and the office refuses to do anything. I have requested they start at a different part of the property since they are so inconsiderate and have been told no.
This apartment complex that I once loved and recommended to everyone I now hate and tell everyone to stay far away.

DON’T DO IT. DON’T DO IT. DON’T DO IT !!! They get you coming and going. Read the 15 page lease before signing… there are so many rules and charges for everything !!!
Also, the service department is horrible. It takes weeks to get anything repaired. The repairman literally came in to my apartment, after I scheduled an appointment for a specific repair, took a photo, and said the parts weren’t in stock.
This is a horrible place to live. DON’T DO IT !!!

I lived at Stonebridge Ranch from June of 2004 until September of 2010, so I would say that my opinion is relatively well formed.
Let me first touch upon the positives. The apartments are fairly nice, nothing spectacular, but above average. The maintenance is prompt in the case of an emergeny (i.e. my A/​C went out in the middle of the summer, and they were there within hours and fixed the problem). They have a good pool, dogpark, and keep the place well kept.
Here are the negative (s)… They do no honor their commitments. Specifically, my sister was moving cross-​country and I went through a fairly extensive process for them to allow her dog to stay at my place (i.e. vet records, proof of breed, etc). They said that it would not be a problem for her dog to stay (provided the pet deposit, etc). Then, when she arrived at my place, they VISUALLY examined the dog, only to say that it «looks too much like a pit bull». The dog is a boxer mix, and we had the paperwork to prove it. This caused serious problems for my sister as she had to leave immediately and find a new place to stay for the next few months. Understand that if they would have said «no» from the beginning, I would have no problem, but they didn’t, they went back on what they had promised.
The more negative issue is this. After living there for over six years and never having been late on rent (over $ 60,000 I might add), when I moved out, I was told that we most likely would not get «dinged» for minor wear and tear that happens over the course of living on CHEAP carpet for 6 years (it’s meant to be replaced every year or two). I once again foolishly took them at their word, only to find out last month, that there is now a collection on my credit report for $ 257. This was unacceptable in my eyes. Here is the kicker, I had a friend move out about 3 years earlier, and she told me that they did the same thing to her… no notice, no letter, just a collection account on her credit report. I called and spoke with the property manager, Jeanette, and the said that she would speak with the collection agency to which my account was referred. When I called her back (I had to call her back, she did not call me back as she said that she would), she said that they told her that they sent me a notice as well, but that it was returned to sender. I had given them my forwarding address. Then she said that their next method of correspondence is to send the mail to my former address, which was also returned. Also ridiculous, as I have had my mail forwarded effective a week before I moved out. She continued to tell me that there was nothing that she could do to help me. In reality, she could have told them that they made a mistake and it would have been removed. This whole scenario left a bad taste in my mouth for Stonebridge. A tenant lives at a residence for over 6 years, is NEVER late with rent, and is sent to collections for a mere $ 257! I am now in the process of fighting this with the collection agency, and lodging a complaint with the BBB.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a bad place to live… it’s just the politics that bring down the perception of the establishment.
If you can rent elsewhere, do yourself (and your credit) a favor and do so!

Overall, on a scale of 1 – 10, I’d give them an 8.5 to a 9. I definitely wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Stonebridge Ranch Apartments to anyone based on the amenities, price/​value, or location.
I was relocated from Chicago to Arizona by my employer. I ended up choosing Stonebridge Ranch sight-​unseen, and I thought I was only going to be there 6 months. For multiple reasons, I ended up living there over two years– it took 26 months to find a house, close, and move in.
The apartment was clean and quiet for the most part, and most of the other tenants were friendly. They had events at least monthly, allowing you to ‘meet and greet’ the other tenants, which were always fun. And most any issue I voiced to the management was addressed, and didn’t pop up again– the exceptions were the ‘human factor’- other tenants.
The main (really only) detractor is one that I think you’re going to see in most any apartment complex, and I really can’t hold that against them here, and that’s the other tenants. With the upending of the housing market, sometimes new tenants aren’t used to sharing walls– either that or they just don’t care– and towards the end of our lease, we had a couple of issues with excessively noisy new neighbors.
Towards the end, it was also obvious that more and more people weren’t picking up after their dogs. It is a dog-​friendly community, which was great, and the complex did what they could to keep the grounds clean, but I know that I’d called out a fellow tenant or two for not picking up after their pet. But that isn’t really anything the apartment complex can police– nor should they be expected to– and it’s sad that people today have so little respect for shared areas.
P. S.- if you happen to get an apartment close to the pool, expect a loud party at least once around spring break– just like anything else, it’s a couple of tenants (and their guests) that have no respect for others, and ruin it for everyone else. If you’re a light sleeper, and this would ruin your day/​week/​month, look for an apartment a little further from the community pool, or one that doesn’t overlook it.
