Service is very friendly and the waiting area is very nice. The real review, though, is ALWAYS get a second opinion when an Autonation service tech comes back with the usual upsell.
I understand people need to make money, but they always seem to start with the biggest, most dramatic & expensive orders, and frankly a lot of it is BS. First of all, they don’t look, they just sell. The first time I was there, they tried to upsell me work that I’d already had done recently. The second time I was there, they tried to upsell me a $ 4000 big ticket order engine re-​ring. My own Honda certified mechanic had been under the hood just about 7000mi previously, and I’m sure he would have noticed if my engine needed to be completely taken out and apart. It sounded fishy to me, so I got a 2^nd and 3^rd opinion and neither import mechanic had a nice thing to say about the Autonation ripoff diagnosis and offered better, less… Pricey… solutions that made more sense than suddenly rebuilding an engine out of the blue.
Ironically, I needed brakes, too, and I’d forgotten. They neglected to remind me that my brakes are at 30% even after the requested safety inspection. They were so busy grabbing for thousands that they missed the upsell on my brakes, which I would have done right then and there since I had the time.
Basically, I don’t trust Autonation. This is the second time something like this has happened, and I really don’t want to go here anymore if I can help it. I like the people, alright, it’s just that I’m afraid one of these days I’m not going to be paying as close attention or be as savvy about my repairs and I’ll end up committed to an unnecessarily costly repair that costs me an arm, a leg, & my first born. I shouldn’t feel like I need to be so on my guard when it comes to car repairs. There’s plenty of work dripping off these cars naturally. They don’t need to swing for the fences like that when there are more practical & economical solutions available. Get a second opinion on whatever they want to do.

I am updating my review after receiving a call from Danielle. She listened to what I had to say and was pleasant, courteous and professional. I felt she really cares about customer satisfaction and will return when I need additional service.

Worst Honda dealership in Arizona. Try to sell me a damaged Honda Civic and with extras
than the other dealers offer. Don’t go here they are crooks. My salesman was rude and ignorant. Go to Tempe Honda instead. I won’t look at this place ever again.

Still waiting for my car after 3hrs. Very frustrating when it’s a simple and pre-​scheduled oil change.
Update: after waiting 3.5 hrs and discovering they had not even started on my car yet, I asked for my keys and left.
We’ll never purchase from Autonation again, and never use them for service again.

Purchased a 2016 Honda CR-​V last night. Already had the deal worked out and went in to do the paperwork. No issues with these guys. We had a really great salesman named Gregg Gabbin from the Internet sales department who was very helpful, knowledgeable about the products, and worked us a great price that we were happy with. He took the time to go over the vehicle with us since everything is now electronic.
No pressure of any kind. We have had our other Honda’s serviced there, so we know the dealership very well.

This dealer ship is a ripped off and a liar, we were in the market for the cr-​v purchase, was there to make an offers, we picked out the model that we wanted but unfortunately they don’t have white pearl in stock (I love white vehicle) so they ran my credit reports and the sale manager came out and told me that my score was 665 which is a lied cause I was in the mid 700 few days ago, and I was shocked when he show me my credit scores. Of course they used my lowest scores so they can jack my APR up sky high. Hell no, we decided to back out, and their prices is a lot higher than Tempe Honda!

At Auto-​nation Honda, they also pressured us to buy their car, so we decided to go to Honda of Tempe, they were awesome! Ask for Richard Lim at Honda of Tempe, they’re very knowledgeable and their prices are very affordable and they’ll do anything to earn your business, it’s worth your money and time there! We purchased a 2015 CRV Touring Package and white pearl also, price were great my payment is lower than auto nation quoted me on. Anyways, this is just my bad experienced from auto nation, their loss, Tempe Honda gain!

It’s hard to figure out what kind of star rating to give, because with these guys, it’s hard to differnciate what’s fake and what’s genuine.
I was back and forth between Tempe Honda and AutoNation Honda Chandler. After reading what my fellow Unilocalers had to say, I had my hesitations about even visiting this dealer. AutoNation by far had a larger selection and thus, more sales tactics to draw you in. My mind was set on a used Accord. After explaining my credit situation to a salesman, he said everything was great and he could 100% guarantee my ability to drive out that night in a gently used ’15 Accord.
The next day when it came time to do the paperwork and run credit, it was a completely different ballgame. As a young female and first time car buyer, I am fortunate that I had TWO people with me who saw right through their games. The paperwork showed an outrageous interest rest for a payment I was not comfortable with. So, we left. Or tried. Of course, they ran ran after us and the finance guy came out in attempts to lure us back in. After explaining what was going on, he said he’d see what he could do, but given my situation, I was told I didn’t have the right to be so picky. I was then offered a deal on a brand new Honda Civic. It seemed appealing at the time, but I was reminded what I came for.
They worked out a decent deal for an older Accord model, but the interest rate remained through the roof. I had my eye on a newer Accord in Tempe and knew I was being ripped off.
I’ll give them credit. These men are very well trained salesman. I almost fell for it and signed the dotted line.
Tempe Honda fought for me, gave me a much better deal on a newer Accord and never once pressured me to buy anything.
Also, AutoNation lied. They ran my credit multiple times so now I have a large amount of inquiries on my credit report. They also did not give me a copy of my credit score, which Tempe did without even being asked.
I should’ve listened to my fellow Unilocalers and stayed as far away from this dealership as possible. This place is run by professional conman.

DO NOT visit AutoNation Honda in Gilbert. Ever. Take your money ANYWHERE else. Every single time I have gone there they have lied, given me faulty parts, ignored me, and have literally wasted HOURS of my time. Worst customer service I have ever seen.
Below are a few examples of my many bad experiences there.
1. They botched an oil change and they had to give me a rental car while they fixed it. Oil filter was not on correctly and leaked oil all over garage floor at home. That is not a complicated service and shouldn’t take 3 visits + lots of my time.
2. Took two hours for an oil change and tire rotation even though I had an appointment. I specifically asked them to not wash my car (their «car wash» leaves a dirty film residue). They told me the car was ready, then made me wait 30 extra minutes while they washed it. When I got home a lug nut was missing on the passenger tire. (Saw another reviewer same thing, missing lug nut. Luckily I have 4 leftover from adding a locking nut on each wheel previously.)
3. Tire light was on. They were not busy but made me wait over an hour to tell me that my tire was not repairable. Took it to Discount Tire and they fixed it immediately. No problems with the tire since.
4. Car is a 2012. Battery went bad last year and they replaced it. Battery went bad again and they refused to do anything and tried to tell me it was normal for a battery to die in a year here. I’ve lived here 25 years and never had a battery go bad TWICE in ONE year.
5. Hood paint has small bubbles or imperfections in it that are chipping away over time, looks like a crummy paint job. Service advisor said you could tell it was an aftermarket paint job and something must have happened to the car and someone repainted. (This car was CPO with 10k and no history of an accident, so I really doubt that. More likely Honda doesn’t want to stand behind their product and the fact they sold us $ 32k cars with Maaco $ 1000 quality paint jobs).
They’re service is incompetent from start to finish as highlighted by all the above. Our household will not be back, and I would advise you to steer clear.

Went in yesterday afternoon to get an oil change for my ’14 accord. My service advisor Sandon did a great job of keeping me updated on how my car was doing. I think they spent more time washing my car than doing the actual oil change. I really appreciate the gesture since I just got back from a road trip, and my car was completely covered with bug splatters. It’s nice to see my car shiny and new again.
I’d highly recommend Sandon. He did a great job. Keep it up!

Everyone at this dealership are friendly, professional, transparent, and quick. This was one of the best experiences we have had buying a car. My mom chatted with Richard Ouellette online and he responded quickly. He was very kind. My mom also chatted online with David Westholm. He made sure that they had the white 2016 Honda Accord Coupe in stock and brought it out so that we would be able test drive it. Out of all the dealerships we have visited, not one salesperson has done that for us. He was professional, friendly, helpful, and made the entire car buying experience worthwhile. He wasn’t overbearing or pressuring us in any way. He was honest and showed me everything about the car. From start to finish, the entire car buying experience took 3 hours. Go see David Westholm when you want to buy your next car!

I needed simple oil change, rotate tires, and check slow leak in left rear tire. Brad was my service adviser. I should say here that my wife and I love our 2014 CRV, it has been a great car. We bought our CRV in another state, so this was first visit to this dealer.
The service waiting area was nice, complete with coffee and donuts.
Brad came out said tire had nail in a place that could not be fixed. So we of course told him to replace it.
The very next day while driving, the tire pressure light came on, so pulled over to check tires. To my amazement the front right wheel was missing a LUGNUT! REALLY! They left off something that keeps the TIRE ON! Also there was a stem cap missing on rt rear tire.
Called to talk to Brad, right then and there. Could not get him on the phone, so left message for Service Manager. As I was driving home got call back from Manager who seemed very concerned, said he would send someone to house to replace items, and would for sure be there by 0900 next day. WELL, no one showed at 9 or 10 or 11 or 12. Called at 1230 finally got a hold of Brad, told him story. He said someone would be there and they did show about 3:30. Replaced the items, checked the other wheels. Nice kid.
In closing, we will not be going back to this
dealership.
Update: Customer Relations Manager Danielle contacted me and apologized for all of this and reimbursed me for complete service .
Including the new tire.

Unfortunately I’m going to have to drive a few miles to get me a new Honda. These guys here in Gilbert will never get my business after my latest visit. Unfortunately the sales rep that saddled me up on my first visit knew less about the Honda Accord than I did. While in the market for a car with Navigation for my wife, not to mention a color scheme that she liked, I was told wrong information that would lead to my missing out on over $ 2000 in savings. Backing up a bit… my wife wanted a White car with Navigation and a Beige leather interior, «with navigation» being the key component. The AutoNation sales rep showed us a car that was ridiculously marked down, but was Black/​Black in color. Not really feeling it, he told us, and here’s where the problem lies, that the next model down had more colors and one could also have Navigation if you purchased the $ 59 smart phone app. Well, thinking we’d be saving $ 1000+ and getting a color that we liked, we passed on it.
Coming back a couple of weeks later, we checked to see if the price on the Black car with Navigation was still available and was kinda upset that it wasn’t. Apparently that was a one time offer due to them having flex money to yadda, yadda… Feeling like we missed out on a steal, we opted for the «next level down and the Navigation app» in a color that we actually liked… only to find out after sitting around for over an hr that the car never existed in the first place! The Honda app isn’t for Accord models of any sort. What he told us was wrong from the beginning and he just calmly mentioned it at the end of the night as if it were a «my bad» that would go totally unnoticed. «Would you like to see an EX-​L w/​o navigation in a V6?» I thought he was trying to be funny but became beyond pissed off when I realized he was serious!
I returned the next morning to talk to a manager about our experience and was told in a «I don’t really give a s**t* tone, «Yeah, he’s rather new. Unfortunately we can’t do anything about what transpired.» Looking me in the eye he shook my hand and went on about his day. I don’t recommend going to a place where training a sales rep isn’t remotely part of the company’s agenda. I’m more upset at the management than I am with the rep, actually. He was actually a nice guy… who didn’t know what the hell he was talking about, unfortunately. If they could care less the level of knowledge of their employees, then I’m sure they don’t care about you and what should be an enjoyable car buying experience.

Honda Service Center: replaced newly my entire engine and gave me all new fluids, because my engine block was covered under a hardware warranty extension program. They did $ 3000+ of work at no cost to me. That was awesome!
However my engine mounts also needed replacing, which unfortunately wasn’t covered, that cost about $ 500 which for the parts is pretty high compared to Everywhere else, but I did it cause they didn’t charge extra for labor, which was great!
They also identified 3 other things they could fix racking up an additional $ 800 which I really was not prepared to do. I am grateful for the heads up however.
Samson Adamson: my service advisor was awesome! He called me an kept up to date on what was going on. He also showed me my old engine after the repair was done, so I could see the damage and thoroughly explained the work that was completed. I have 36k warranty on the completed work too, so that’s great! Do to some technical scheduling errors I did have to wait 3 hrs for my car to even be seen, with an appointment, that was the only bummer. Other than that, Samson did an awesome job and made sure I was taken care of!
Will I come back for any other maintenance, probably not, we all know dealership work is overpriced. But I would definitely come back to purchase a new Honda in the future! Love my Civic.

Had a great experience buying a low miles, great price, very clean l 2010 Honda Pilot thru sales rep Gregg Gabbin I would highly recommend him and this dealership, everyone was helpful and polite. From sales reps outside inside, the desk clerk to finance not one rude person.

I previously reviewed the sales experience and gave five stars and stand by it.
However, this update is for the service which is by far some of the worst service I have ever received from an auto dealer. 1. Numerous calls made to schedule service that was supposed to be completed shortly after delivery. Calls not returned and excuses made for delays. Absolutely no ownership. 2. Brought in car for tinting which was part of the sales agreement and dealer wanted to charge $ 30 for a loaner?! Seriously?! Just spent 40+k on a vehicle and you are going to nickel and dime on a service that was included in the sale?! Forget about sales referrals! 3. Piece of windshield wiper fell off in first carwash less than 1 wk after sale. Dealer did nothing to help… they got the sale already.
It’s unfortunate. Sales experience was good… not taking that away. However, the inadequacy, lack of ownership, poor attitude, and lack of communication from the service depart part by far outweighs the praises for sales. I regretfully will not be able to refer anyone to this dealership for sales or service until they get their act together.
Any good business owner knows that the relationship with the consumer STARTS when the product is procured. Here… relationship ends when you sign the sales contract.

I bought my previous Honda when the dealership was SanTan Honda, but have used Autonation service since then. I’ve been very happy with them — very polite and courteous every time I’ve gone in. No charge for minor little things, reasonable prices for services.
I decided to upgrade a couple days ago and had Walt Northrup assisting us in purchasing a new Honda. He was absolutely awesome! Not overbearing, very personable, he listened to what I want and worked hard to send me out with a car I love :)
We will continue our business here with the service department and purchase of any future Hondas.

This was a disappointing service for our new 2015 Ford Taurus, which was its first service of an oil change, tire rotation and get the car washed. I’m giving them 3 stars because they met the minimum of what they had to do.
Because we have another Ford that is also fairly new bought at a different dealership, though I’m not happy with that dealership’s sales department, most of the service department at the other Ford dealership nearby is alright, so as long as we don’t get a couple of the guys.
I got Mike Bradley. He was okay, but I have a number of better service people I’ve dealt with over the past couple years, so he was minimally polite to me. He wasn’t discourteous, but he was just doing what he’s supposed to be doing. I had an appointment set for 1:30 pm today, which I was on time for, maybe a couple minutes early. When I set the appointment more than a week before, I told them I had other things going on and they said it would take at the most 1 ½ hrs.
When I got there and asked Mike when my car would be ready, he said at least 2 hrs. AT LEAST. I told him that I was told it would take 1 ½ hrs when I booked my appointment, which is what my schedule allowed. They took the full 2 hrs, so then I was late to my 3:30 pm appointment by a ½ hr, not good.
I told Mike about my dissatisfaction that if their booking people say 1 ½ hrs, they should meet that or do better, not worse. Everyone is busy and I went by what they said. He was a little sarcastic with me at the beginning when I asked for my car to be washed. Since I didn’t know him, it was not appropriate to be sarcastic to me.
When I got into my car, the outside looked alright, but the inside of my car was dirtier than when I gave them my car. Someone with very dirty shoes got the inside of my car, driver’s side, dirty. A part of the interior of my car is cream colored. Not cool.
The excuse I was given for it taking 2 hrs was because it had an oil change, tire rotation, and car wash. That’s the usual service that I get at SanTan Ford and they do it in less than 1 ½ hrs usually for our other Ford.
I’ll probably try a different AutoNation for our next service because I don’t have a lot of confidence that if they dinged my car or something that they would say. And, while I was there, there seemed to be a couple other people that were not happy with whatever was going on.
They have a really nice waiting area, but I really would prefer excellent service and work, and it was just okay.

I only went here because there was a recall for my driver’s side airbag. I prefer to go to HonMan in Tempe. They fixed the airbag situation free of charge, and sent a valet after the shuttle hours to pick me up from work. That was nice. It’s close to my work, but the charges are outrageous for other services.

My husband and I just took my mother there today to look for a used SUV, not really expecting to find what she wanted in her price range. We were greeted by Alan, one of the sales associates, who turned out to be the nicest person. He took time with us and was not pushy at all. He definitely wasn’t one of the typical «vultures» of the car lots.
My mom wound up finding the perfect vehicle to suit her needs and they worked with us to get the price right where she needed it to be. We’ll definitely recommend Autonation Honda to anyone looking for a new vehicle!
