History

Established in 1999.

The Joint is a rapidly growing franchise whose story first began in 1999. Back then The Joint set out to promote and deliver the health benefits of routine chiropractic care because at the time, a rapidly changing chiropractic industry left providers searching for an alternate means to meeting the needs of patients in an otherwise conventional healthcare structure. On a mission to meet the needs of both patient and chiropractor, The Joint set out to transform the traditional and often misunderstood practice of chiropractic care into a strong, simple and valuable business.

Dr. Michael Arriens II. «I have been in practice for over 14 years, having received my doctorate degree in Chiropractic from the esteemed Parker University in 1998. My practice experience includes sports injuries, personal/​occupational injuries, spinal decompression and pre/​post surgical rehabilitation. I am originally from New Ulm Texas, a small rural town near Bellville Texas. My family and I moved to Cedar Park in 1987 and I subsequently attended, and graduated from, Leander High School in 1990. I completed my undergraduate level education here in Austin and then went on to my graduate level of education at Parker University in Dallas Texas. I am a lifelong chiropractic patient after sustaining a traumatic injury that fractured my spinal column and destroyed the last disc in my spin. With regular chiropractic care I have been able to avoid spinal stabilization surgery, to connect my spine back to my pelvis, despite continuing my favorite hobby as an avid golfer.»

This is good place for most. The only reason for my rating is that trying to get in for the past month has difficult at best with long wait times. The main advantage to me prior was being able to walk in and get seen quickly. Now the wait is 30 minutes to over an hour.

My husband and i have been going for a year and we love it!!! We bought the package where we get 4 visits a month for the two of us for $ 88. Total. They are always friendly and professional. We both have a lot less aches and pains. I am far more flexible then before also. Try them out, they are GREAT!!!

This is the best joint I have ever been to. Dr. Arrians goes out of his way to treat the individual and not just another adjustment. I play a lot of hockey and it causes me back pain if I do not get adjusted, If I stay adjusted I stay pain-​free.

I finally stopped by because I knew I needed a chiropractor and other options were just not convenient and/​or too expensive.
I came in, answered a few questions and filled out some paperwork and waited about 15 minutes. Then Dr. Arriens greeted me and we talked about my concerns. He had some great advice and insights, then gave me an adjustment, explaining everything along the way. Recommended I come frequently for about 10 visits.
I signed up for the monthly plan because it’s the most reasonable and it should motivate me to come as often as I really need to.
Iced my neck and back as instructed and after a few days and another treatment, I’m feeling progress. I already know I am sleeping better because I’m in less pain.
The CP location is next to HEB so it’s on my weekly hit-​list of places I know I will be, and it’s just 5 minutes from the house. I also hit the Round Rock location when I was in that area, which allowed me to get another adjustment in — very convenient.

Amazingly enough, I am very, very pleased with the Joint. I wasn’t expecting this type of quality honestly.
I have been to the Arboretum, the Lakeline location and this Cedar Park location and have received excellent care at each. I will say that the Cedar Park location has been my best session yet.
I feel listened to, I trust their competence and skill, I loved the personalized care. I just can’t imagine this being any better than it is.
The value exceeds the price and in today’s world, it’s a rare and precious thing!

Dr. Arrens delivers private practice type care in a (well-​established) corporate scene. I love waiting in line for him, just because I know that he spends time educating other patients, and when it’s my turn, I get to learn something new too! When I visited with him, he gave a comprehensive overview of my situation and what I can do to improve myself. Then he gave me a thorough adjustment, cracks everwhere. Somehow that makes me feel like things are working correctly.
This location also has the cracking fulcrum chair thing that makes large scary thumping sounds. But it’s good for re-​aligning your legs, or something.
Will return, if only the drive was more convenient!

Most of my reviews are all good! It’s important to acknowledge the good and great! Annoying how people only focus on the negative experiences. It has to be really bad for me to submit a review about. I first discovered this location when they opened just down the street from my home, I was so happy to see it! My first experience was perfect. Quick sign in, friendly service, overall adjustment with some time spent on me (it’s nice when your chiro spends way more than just a minute w/​you, like others have in the past) and a follow up call. THAT was a first and a pleasant surprise. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

This location has grown to be really busy. I highly recommend The Joint brings in another chiropractor and expand their hours to accommodate its business. I’ve walked out 4 times in the past 2 wks due to a 35min or longer wait. Last time I decided to wait I was told 30min but actuality waited 50min. Unfortunately, I’m not available to come by during the day. I could, however, stop in before 10am during the week. I’m petty close to canceling my membership. Bummer.

I have a spinal birth defect and have been going to chiropractors for most of my life. I was referred to The Joint by a friend and his wife when I had a flare-​up and was in extreme pain. I love the fact that they’re open 7 days a week and that I can just walk in and get an adjustment within a few minutes (15 minutes is the longest I’ve ever waited). This is so much more convenient and logical for people with a busy lifestyle than traditional chiropractic. The fact that their prices are reasonable makes it easy and affordable to get adjusted weekly.
Most importantly though, the doctors are excellent! They’re gentle, but very effective. And lastly, the staff is incredibly friendly and inviting. I highly recommend The Joint to all my friends and family!

Fast, Simple, effective with locations that are close.
Walk in (no appt), self check in, get adjusted and go. Weekends as well !! That’s 5 star alone — no hurting till Monday.
I use two locations one by work and one near home. No excuse not too.
Hours are generous but less than Massage Envy. 7pm is closing (4pm on Sunday) but like a muffler shop if you get there in time (6:59) — they will stay until everyone is done.
Very different from traditional — allows you full work days and alignments.
Tip– Monthly plan (4 visits) does not carry forward missed visits (like massage envy) –does not always work out to be weekly
Purchased number of units does carry forward — so consider this — feel like monthly plan is not always a bargain — may switch

I have been going to the Joint for about a month now. Very pleased with their pricing, and very pleased with their friendly service. No hassles, no long waits and no appointments.
However, they do not seem as thorough as other chiropractors that I have been to. No message tables, muscle therapy, etc.
Funny thing is that my back feels better since I quit going to the Joint. The pricing per month is nice, but if you do not cancel your auto-​charge early enough in the month, you’ll get charged again. Very friendly folks… good concept, but I’ll be going back to old chiropractor.

After serving in the United States Army as a combat medic for five years, I found out that I had several injuries that went untreated. Since the «old» Army didn’t use chiropractic care, my injuries simply compounded over the years. After I had two daughters, I got serious about my health and started getting the proper information about getting my body back in alignment. I had some great doctors but I moved out of the area and needed to find someone in the Austin area.
Luckily, I met Dr. Michael Arriens through his Office Manager, Michelle Johnson and I’ve never been happier. Not only do I get regular adjustments which help me sleep better, I get treated very well by their entire team. Since I’m on a 90 Day Challenge, I’m looking to get my body on a path to wellness. Working with The Joint has helped me stay the course and I highly recommend them!
