History

Established in 1984.

It was in June of 1984 that I opened the doors for the first day, of our next 30+ years of business. What began in an old gas station in the center of downtown Duvall, only continued to grow and six years later we moved to the Valley Business Center at the one time «edge» of town. In 2004 I moved the business to Lake Joy and began specializing in Toyota brand cars and trucks. My journeyman status and training with JRT (Jaguar, Rover, Triumph) was all the formal training I required before opening John’s Auto Repair. I soon found that schooling and training were a dailly event. The business was renamed Lake Joy ToY in 2004 because of our location close to this lake.

The impulse to take control of my future pushed me to plan, and finally to open Johns Auto Repair or Lake Joy ToY. The need to be in charge of ones future is quite overwhelming at times, but, also very rewarding. I like to help people using the skills I’ve acquired over the past 40 years. And I really like the fact that I can be paid for this skill, (or is it that impulse) as well! We are still a family owned and operated business.
