Aim High SAT Prep Course

Great course. Suzanne is a great tutor. They tailor the tutoring toward your child’s needs. Would recommend, and you can’t beat the price. I agree with Wayne, they aren’t looking to get rich off of your kid.

This group is dedicated to helping your child do better on the SAT, not to getting rich from your desperation of getting your child into a great college. The tutors are actual math and English teachers who are very knowledgeable in their areas and the various tricks the SAT test has up its sleeve.
By taking this course, your biggest improvement will probably be in the writing test although you will see substantial improvement in all areas.
And I would say our son increased his SAT score by 200 — 300 points as a result of taking this course.

All these reviews give relatively high ratings, but I don’t think I got as much out of the class as I should have, even after heading to the library after class everyday. It seemed like the teachers were just school teachers doing the class for a little extra cash and that they didn’t actually know much about the SATs. The math teacher spend a day and a half out of three days teaching us how to «guess properly» and I nearly fell asleep. The tips are very beginner and didn’t help much. The only reason I gave it two stars instead of one is because my essay actually did improve.
Also, all the helpful tips and actually useful information from this class seemed to be based on the book «Up Your Score», which I remember reading a copy of last year. I would pick up the copy as it is only $ 12 and you could save yourself the $ 250 for this class. Really, after that, all you need to do is find the motivation to sit in the library and study.
