Kumon of Campbell — East is part of the world’s largest after-school math & reading program, helping children of all ages become self-learners.
History
Established in 1954.
Kumon was established in 1954 in Japan by a math teacher named Toru Kumon who wanted his son Takeshi to develop a love of learning, and be prepared for his rigorous high school and college entrance exams. When other parents saw Takeshi’s progress and wanted the same for their kids, the Kumon Method was born.
