Description

Specialties

We carry vintage men’s and women’s clothing, accessories, costumes, jewelry, sunglasses and seasonal items. We don’t carry boring everyday crap that you can buy at the Gap like black t-shirts, khaki pants, cargo shorts, or basically anything «plain.» We do carry statement pieces that people will notice and that will make you stand out. And around Halloween we do carry costumes and lots of clothes that you can use in your own costume. Unlike thrift stores we don’t rely on charity so we can get you what you want, so let us know what you want and we’ll try to get it, we’re listening.

History

Established in 2010.

We started our business in a space 750sq feet in a second floor location on Church Street in Burlington. The first summer I was open it was so slow in the afternoons I would nap from 2:30 — 4:00pm. I’d put a note on my door that said «be back at 4:00.» Eventually people would be waiting at my door when I went to open it again at 4:00 and I had to stop taking naps. We moved to a larger location at 108 Church St above an import jewelry shop called Tradewinds and hopefully we’ll be there for a long time.

Meet the Business Owner

James D.

Business Owner

I used to work for a big corporation designing computer systems for airplanes. Now I work for myself and am much happier. I never thought I would be in retail, but I love my business and I love my customers.

James D. says,

«I go to Speeder’s every day I work for a café au lait and they usually have it started by the time I get to the counter.»
