Yay! I’m a fan. Heather is THENICEST Consignment Mistress in all of Burlington. She will treat you well and has a reasonable payment system for consigners. I was able to get an appointment quickly, she was able to sell nearly everything I brought(one more modern piece was recommended I try at another shop, which ended up being STA. I do not love STA tho), recommended I take one piece to a jeweler for consignment(which I did, a quick $ 400!), and in short was incredibly helpful thoughout. Helpful: a concept lost on many. I’m taking more items into her this week, and look forward to going in again. The selection is TRUE vintage, very good quality stuff, with a fine selsction of jewelry and fun gifts. I could spend hours there; despite the store’s smallish size it has chutzpah. Helpful chutzpah; and with that, belated Happy Passover.

Definitely worth checking out and going in often to see what’s new. This place always has funny signs of kitschy decorations which are also great gift ideas! It is not where you want to go if you have something specific in mind, but you will likely find something anyway. I would always go, even while finding awesomely unique shirts and dresses here for very cheap, for the extensive and dont-care-if-i-break-you sunglass collection there. Great for parties or concerts. The owner there really loves getting to know customers and gives great feedback on things that you might be interested in. A lot of the merchandise, surprisingly, is nice jewelry that she has in counters around the cash register. There are all sorts of old-school turquoise and silver items and a variety of earrings and such BUT the best ones were always the ghetto chains she had on sale and the NKOTB necklace a friend of mine once bought there. Kept me comin back for sure, very fun store!

Just wonderful! Next to the best café in town(penny cluse), this shop gets an A for several reasons. The owner is there and has printed her personality on the shop — eclectic, friendly, mellow. The selection — a carefully curated mix of new and old, with some of the best quality and most unique vintage pieces I have seen outside of San Francisco and New York. The prices — fair and accessible. When was the last time you went into a shop, met the owner(who cared about your experience, knew clothes, and genuinely loved helping her clients), found a terrific selection of things you never imagined could still exist and fit you, and did not have to leave one on the rack because the prices were reasonable? Viva the clothing line. Don’t miss it!!!

Heather has a monopoly over the best clothing selection in Burlington, in sheer variety, quality, and pricing. She sells consignment, thrift, vintage, and personally selected items bought from international and local designers. Shopping here is also always a totally pleasant and low-key experience. While the store is obviously dominated by women’s clothing, men have it really good with a modest but smart stock of corduroys, flannel, jean jackets, suit jackets, Peruvian alpaca hoodies(made very well and priced very low at $ 40ish), and random Vermont man apparel such as the shooting vest I found for $ 16. I wish we had it this easy in NYC.

I really enjoyed shopping at the Clothing Line. As most vintage clothing/consignment shops their amount of mens clothing was small compared to womens, but unlike other places it was much larger. I got a great deal on a few shirts and was surprised about how great the prices were! I paid half of what I am used to in Boston, MA where I live. They even had a zoot suit but unfortunately it was two sizes too big :-(I am definitely coming back whenever I am in Vermont.

lots of eye catching clothes and fun relics… visit if you are a fan of wonder women — tote bags, biz card holders, lunch boxes, etc. i found a great summer blouse that was very reasonably priced. this store is part vintage, part used clothing, part new clothing, part eclectic gift shop :) the owner was so nice and her dog sleeping on the chair behind her was adorable.
