History

Established in 2003.

I have been teaching private guitar lessons for over 12 years. I have a Masters degree in Jazz Performance from New York University (Steinhardt School of Education) and a Diploma in Classical guitar from Conservatorio U. Giordano, Rodi Garganico, Foggia, Italy.

Meet the Business Owner

Matteo L.

Business Owner

Matteo started his music career in 2002 in Italy, where attained a degree from Rodi Garganico Conservatory. During these years, while teaching students in middle school, he performed extensively and won several prestigious chamber music awards. In 2010 Matteo earned his masters degree in Jazz performance from NYU, where he also taught for two years. In 2009 he formed a jazz duo with bassist Jerry Devore. Their first album, Concepts was enthusiastically reviewed by All About Jazz. During the same period Matteo started the jazz/​rock project Ashen Figure. Ron Sadoff (composer and NYU director of film scoring) called its music «striking and original». For the past 5 years, Matteo has been teaching at MILI and NYC Guitar Classes, and was working on a project co-​produced with legendary Nick Sansano.
