Stuart Glass Inc is a full service residential, commercial, and automotive glass shop. We are based in Brighton, MA and have been serving the glass needs of Brighton, greater Boston, and surrounding areas such as Brookline, Newton, Cambridge, Watertown, Belmont, and more since 1957.

We specialize in shower door enclosures, window repair, screen repair and fabrication, furniture tops, mirrors, storefronts and more. During our 55 years of customer services, we have prided ourselves on quality service and customer satisfaction.

We offer everything from repairs to installations and replacement. We offer Safety Glass. Safety Glass is glass that will hold together or break using if broken providing security and safety. We also offer Insulated Glass Units, which will save you energy and money by reducing heat gain in the summer and heat loss in the winter.

Our commercial glass services include: aluminum framing, commercial doors and hardware, fire-rated windows and doors, insulated glass units, storefront glass, skylights, window tinting, and more! Our auto glass services include: windshields, side view mirrors, driver side windows, passenger side windows, window tinting.

Formerly Royal Glass Service, Stuart Glass Inc. has been serving Boston’s glass needs since 1957. Beginning any project with a free estimate, we continue on to handle any glass related service. Stuart Glass Inc. is backed by more than 50 years of reliable service to Metro Boston. From frame-less shower enclosures and window replacements to commercial store fronts and auto glass, we gladly handle all of your glass needs. We hope to see you soon!

I have been a builder in Boston for 22 years and have used Stuart Glass as a subcontractor for much of that time. They have provided me with windows, shower enclosures, and commercial storefronts. In our business, things don’t always go as planned, Butch and his crew are able to think outside the box and get the job done. They even made me a new windshield for my motorcycle.

I called on 08÷10÷15 around 2pm to find out what I had to do in order to have an estimate of a broken window. The woman who answered the phone was extremely rude and condescending. She got frustrated because I didn’t have the exact window measurement and started speaking with me like I was an moron. After I told her that she did not have to be rude she hung up on me! I called back and asked to speak with her supervisor, she said that she was the supervisor and hung up again!
It is just sad! having someone with such poor customer service skill being the face of your business! I know nothing about their business, but after my experience with their secretary or supervisor (according to her), I want nothing to do with Stuart Glass Inc!

Secretary is incapable of giving you a time and date for an appointment. She acts frustrated that you would want to know.
I had them do one job that I was fairly happy with, but when I called them for something more complicated they took one look and walked away. I followed up for a quote by phone and email, and they never got back to me even to say they didn’t want the job.
Don’t waste your time! Try Prime Glass in Watertown instead.

This place is a joke right? Granted it wasn’t a huge overhaul of windows, instead I wanted a pane replaced for a sash window.
Estimate was done quickly over the phone. I gave the receptionist the dimensions and told her that I wanted it re-puttied. I also asked her if they were willing to fill in some of gaps in the sash, she said it would be no problem (it never happened).
When I got the sash back, the putty was still drying and now there are dimples in it after handling it. What irked me the most out of this whole experience was the customer service by the lone receptionist.
She told me that I would have to call to check up on the status of the work, they will not call us. We had to pay for the work in full before picking up the repair job. Her attitude was terse and rude. I called her no more than an hour before coming in and when I asked for the window she cut me off mid sentence and asked «And the name is???» with that condescending inflection. Additionally, she had the gall to ask if I paid already. I told her that I would wait while she cross-checked with her records, instead she told me «no, I trust you» and gave me a smirk.
Before this, I overheard a customer ahead of me about a product that he «wanted yesterday». She apologized to him and assured him that the work will be done that afternoon.
I love local business and would pay more for it, but I’m going to look for another local glass shop when the time comes again.

After calling other glass repair companies and not hearing any response, I turned to Unilocal and found Stuart Glass. I set up an appointment over the phone, they came and measured my cracked window, and then returned to install the new glass the following week when it was convenient for me.
Overall, they were great! Friendly staff and efficient service — I would definitely recommend them!

Do not use this company! they took my deposit and i didn’t hear from them for 6 weeks! when i called, the guy i spoke with had no idea what i was talking about and then never even called back when he said he was going to look into it. when they finally did the job, they charged me more than originally quoted even though they took 2 months to finally get it done. their story kept changing about what the problem was. aside from one woman who works there, their customer service is terrible.

Business done right!
I needed to replace some glass from a picture frame, checked Unilocal,called Stuart Glass. I wanted to see if I could get it done while I waited, not a problem.
I was helped and out the door in a few minutes. I will definitely return when I decide to be clumsy again or if I need glass for bigger projects.

Some drunk idiot broke a window during a party at our house. Called Stuart Glass monday night to see if they could fix it and left a voicemail. I wasn’t home Tuesday but they were able to come fix it Tuesday morning from the outside of the house, and did a great job, especially on short notice.

I had the insulated glass in a window frame replaced due to a failed seal. I brought it to the shop and Stuart Glass replaced it in an efficient manner. They were friendly and straightforward. The price quote seemed like it was plucked from air, but it didn’t seem outrageous.
