Skip was awesome! The playlist was great and he did a great job being an mc. I got a lot of great response from guest of how much they enjoyed him. I highly recommend him! All the guest were dancing and having so much fun. People don’t want the event to end :)

We were so happy we had Skip as the DJ/​MC at our wedding! We didn’t know how to describe our music taste, but had a picture in our heads of the atmosphere we wanted it to convey. Skip was able to completely understand our taste and what we were wanting and translate it into an unforgettable event. He read the crowd and was able to keep the energy level up all night and keep people dancing. He was professional, easy to communicate with, and had a vast knowledge of music. Overall we’d highly recommend him!

Out of all of our vendors, skip was our favorite to work with. He was extremely organized, prompt in his responses, helpful, knowledgeable, and most importantly, the most impressive DJ we have ever experienced at a wedding.

Skip was amazing! I’m so glad we went with him to DJ the wedding. During the planning process he was super easy to work with and gave us a planning guide which was extremely helpful. He was very quick to reply to any emails I sent him. He’s a professional, but also very laid back and not cheesy at all. He listened to what we wanted and my stressful, VERY chaotic wedding day was made a lot easier thanks to Skip. He is much more affordable than many other DJs I looked at, and he’s totally worth it. Skip was great to work with from the beginning. He was quick to respond to emails and made sure we had everything we needed for our wedding. He was very flexible with our changing wedding schedule, as it changed time and time again as we got closer to the day. Set up was completely smooth and he jumped right into facilitating speeches and playing music seamlessly as dinner and the reception resumed. We had filled out a requested song list prior but left it up to Skip’s discretion as to what to play and he did an awesome job of keeping people moving and dancing. We would definitely recommend him to anyone planning an event! He goes out of his way to make sure his clients are happy, dancing, moving, and relaxed about their day.

We had Skip MC/​DJ our wedding in May, and it was amazing. Skip made sure the reception flowed very nicely, and did a great job organizing the event for me. He was even able to make last minute changes and announcements as not everything can always go on schedule :). We received many compliments on Skip, and I would highly recommend him to any of my friends. I should note that Skip was very responsive, and easy to work with. It was also great that he showed up early just like he said he would, and got all set up before cocktail hour even began!

My wife and I are so grateful that we were able to find a DJ as amazing as Skip. He played such a vital role in the success of our wedding, keeping everyone on the dance floor all night. We chose individual songs/​genres to play here and there, but left the majority up to him. Skip does a fantastic job of reading the audience and chooses music based on his observations throughout the night. We hired Skip to perform as the DJ at our wedding. He did a terrific job! He was extremely professional, and ensured that the evening ran very smoothly.
He provided a form months before the wedding to get a feel of our musical tastes, both likes and dislikes. The form was very thorough and detailed, which helped to ensure that the music set the vibe for every part of our wedding.
At the celebration, he managed the entire flow of the wedding event. He kept guests occupied and up to date when they were waiting for food. He provided a wonderful mix of music, that kept the party going all night.

Skip was the DJ for our wedding and was truly phenomenal. He worked with us prior to the wedding to ensure that we all were on the same page with what music we liked and wanted to hear, how much we wanted him to MC, etc. Skip was super responsive and had great ideas based on his experience with weddings.
Day of, we arrived at our reception site after the ceremony to find the party already in motion; he really set the tone for a joyful reception. He did a wonderful job coordinating with our caterer and making sure the night flowed smoothly. Logistics and timeline for the night were probably my biggest worries about the wedding and Skip took care of all of that, checking in every now and then to make sure it was how we wanted it. He took the reins so that I would be able to sit back and enjoy my own wedding– and I did.
For dancing, he did an incredible job mixing generations of music and guests young and old were dancing into the night. I had a cousin come up to me and say– «this DJ is awesome, I’ve never seen my mom dance at a wedding.» He pulled dancing out of people by mixing great music that everyone could identify with. We would highly recommend Skip and Headsmile Productions to anyone getting married or celebrating with a big event. We were so, so happy with our wedding and his role in it.

Out of all of our vendors, I was most worried about finding the right wedding DJ for my fiancé and I. We have actually both worked as DJ’s professionally. We interviewed a lot of people and decided Skip was our guy. Why? First, he understand music. Second, he is super down to earth, chill, and NOT cheesy or creepy like so many wedding DJ’s out there (you know what I’m talking about). Third, he understands that the prices so many of these guys are charging are insanely bogus and inflated and he doesn’t price gouge. Leading up to the event, he made it very easy and even worked with our ceremony band to make sure they had everything they needed. He showed up early, stayed until the party was done, pronounced everyone’s name correctly, did a phenomenal job keeping the dance floor packed… the list goes on. There is not one thing I would have changed about the job he did. He exceeded our expectations in every way!

The music played at the wedding was AMAZING! All the songs I wanted played were played and even requests were played shortly after the request was made. I would recommend Skip to anyone who is getting married or just looking for a DJ. Everyone had a great time and I got a lot of positive responses from guests about how great the DJ was.

Skip was absolutely the perfect DJ for our wedding. We took a leap of faith when selecting him as our DJ as we had not met him or seen his work beforehand. He asked us for some of our favorite songs to be played at dinner and during dancing to get a sense of what we liked and better match other songs for our reception music. He did an amazing job and almost everyone was dancing throughout the reception. He worked great with our wedding coordinator to manage the timeline throughout the night flawlessly. I would not hesitate to recommend Skip to anyone looking for a fun and energetic time at their wedding reception.

Working with Skip from Headsmile Productions was one of the easiest aspects of wedding planning. He is very responsive to emails, extremely detail oriented and very easy going. I have absolutely no complaints about his service or the process following up to the wedding. Always answered emails in a timely manner. Always extremely professional. Sound system was amazing. One of our top priorities was that our ceremony was easy to hear, Skip made sure of this. Wedding music for reception was fantastic. Our guest loved the dance party.

We had Skip MC our wedding last week, and it was a phenomenal production. For a reception that started at 3:30pm, we worried that guests wouldn’t be as motivated to dance. That wasn’t the case at all, as even my father (a 70 year old Japanese man) was out on the floor!
Skip was very organized with the flow of events, and it was very clear to us how to select certain songs to go with specific events (cake cutting, first dance, etc). During the cocktail hour, dinner and dancing, when he was allowed some freedom in song selection, I was surprised at how well he was able to read the crowd and play great songs.
For the MC portion, Skip was never intrusive nor cheesy. When he did speak up to guide the flow of the wedding, he was concise, professional, and with the right degree of humor. I would highly recommend Headsmile Productions for anybody looking for a (affordable!) DJ/​MC for their wedding.
