I have lived here for about a year and a half now and so far i am enjoying it! The rent is very fair for the enormous space you get. The electric bill is usually low, although i dont need to blast the AC or heat either cuz i just use blankets or open windows!
I’ve had minimal maintenance issues, but the time my stove broke, they gave me a whole new oven! Can’t complain about that!
The location is fantastic. There are so many places to eat, shop, drink, etc. There are 2 gyms closeby. The T is a short walk away in Kenmore, and you can hop on the commuter rail to get to south station in 10 minutes. This is also a pet friendly apartment; the lease says no pets without permission, so i think they just want control over what animals live there (which is good. i wouldnt want to live next to a loud dog, or experience someone’s pet snake getting out!)
The only drawback, if it bothers you, is the noise. The Mass Pike and the train tracks are LOUD. i’m on the back side of the building so i hear them more, but even the park and the crowds are not as loud as the traffic/​train noise. Luckily its white noise and it dies down at night, but unless you can get used to it you may not like this place. Its definitely a noise friendly location… which is good if you like your music a little loud too :)

I lived in their lofts above Beerworks for two years. The experience was positive overall. Rent was fair, utilities were cheap, and minor maintenance issues were resolved fairly quickly. I ended up breaking my lease a month early, but found a replacement to sign a 13-​month lease. With some resistance, they were nice enough to even refund me their standard lease breakage fee.

I’ve lived in 2 different apartment buildings (in the back bay/​kenmore areas) owned by these guys for the last 4 years, and I’ve actually been pretty happy. Their apartments are less expensive than all others I’ve found, and while service suffers a *little* bit in exchange, I thought it was worth it. Also, I’ve always found them responsive to my requests for repairs. Perhaps it helps that I got to know the maintenance people?

These guys are absolutely horrible. I lived in one of their apartments not too long ago, and they are the worst, laziest, greediest landlords in the greater boston area. When we moved in, a window had a huge hole in it, so we called repeatedly to get it fixed, but they never did. So we had to call inspectional services!
