I did facial couple days ago and I was unhappy.
Emma has have cleaned my face so quick and my poorer still dirty. The price was around $ 200.00 It doesn’t cost this money.

I had a pretty good experience with color for my first visit and was happy with the results. However, I booked a second visit for a haircut through online booking. By my mistake, I forgot to cancel the haircut after being called into work. When I saw that I had missed the appointment, I tried to schedule a new one immediately. I was told however, that because I missed that previous appointment, I had to pay the FULL price of the haircut before booking anything else. When I asked where this policy was written, the receptionist didn’t have an answer for me and kept putting me on hold. I checked the website and the app and nowhere does it say you will be charged for the service if not cancelled within 24 hours. Also, when I rechecked my appointment in the app, it said I was scheduled with someone different than the person I had originally scheduled with. After the receptionist had me on hold for a third time to speak with the manager, she managed to add, «well I can’t find the policy written, but we tell you this when you come in for your first appointment.» When I brought up the fact that a different stylist was listed, she said the one I had originally chosen became unavailable and that they called me to notify me the day before. Nice try. No one told me this «policy» at my first appointment. AND no one called to tell me the stylist was changed. This sounded more like an excuse that she had come up with when she didn’t know what else to say. I paid the fee anyways because I desperately needed the haircut and was happy with my previous color. This, however is extremely poor customer service, and I am absolutely appalled. That $ 50 was basically STOLEN from me and it proves how greedy this place can be.

Love Armi at Beaucage! Always gives a great cut and a fantastic blow dry. Seen Armi for 3 years now and always feel like a million bucks after seeing her. Never disappointed!

I brought a Gilt City maybe 2 years ago for a kerstase treatment, haircut + blow dry and have been coming back for the kerstase treatments since. I called on Thursday afternoon and was able to make an appointment for Saturday morning. I arrived to the salon 10 minutes early to my appointment but was immediately given a smock and brought over to the sink to get rinsed out. A total of 3 women touched my hair — one washed, one just checked on it, and the other actually put the treatment into my hair. Immediately after it is washed out of your hair you can definitely feel the difference in softness. I like coming here because they don’t require you to get a blow out with your treatment, which can cost to ~$ 30-​$ 50 more. They sit you at a blow drying station and give you products for your hair and you just do it yourself. The treatment without the blow out is $ 45 — much more reasonable if you plan on getting a treatment every six weeks as recommended — I tend to go when I have a vacation coming up which is usually a few months. I was in and out in less than an hour.
Saturday’s are pretty busy there. The salon itself is very upscale and clean, but very hectic with people running around everywhere. I overheard them talking about how there was no where to put me to blow dry my hair. They had to shuffle people around. When they sat me down they didn’t plug in the hair dryer so I had to do it myself since the stylist and the assistants were running around. I have long hair so lots of water dripped everywhere as I attempted to reach the outlet. Whoops.

I’ve lived in five cities in the past five years and I’ve never found a place as good as this one. I’ve seriously considered traveling back to Boston just for the fantastic waxing services.

I have recently started going to Karen at Beaucage because I don’t have time to schedule a ton of appointments at different places, and she is someone I can rely on for all my facial and waxing needs — no tricks, crazy upselling or breakouts. Plus you can book online! That said, she’s awesome — knows everything about skin. I have sensitive skin and she manages to make it bright and clear. I constantly get compliments on my skin & her waxing is consistently good. Highly recommend!

JJ did an excellent job on my hair – balayage that looked natural and sun-​kissed!

Jose– seriously the best haircuts. He listens, he cares, he has suggestions. It’s really the whole package. He will do exactly what you ask if needed, but will also help you chose the right haircut for your face if undecided. Can cut curly hair amazingly!

Armi is the best for cut and ombré around. I travel from the north end to see her. I’ve gone many places and she’s really the best. She also touches up my roots. Most importantly, she’s an absolute delight to visit with. See photo

I found Beaucage, through a Groupon and had cross-​referenced with a friend of mine who had been there before.
I’ve worked with Jose, a few times now and it’s a great relationship. He knows exactly what to do with my hair as more importantly, he listens to my input.
Take for example my balayage. I had never colored my hair before and wanted to keep it natural. He used organic products that are great for my «virgin hair.» I love that he suggested NOT bleaching my hair and seeing if it would take the color.
Jose is currently a junior stylist which makes him affordable (broke student alert), but his talent and energy will let him quickly rise to the top and become a master stylist in no time!!!
Definitely recommend him; oh, and if you let him know I sent you and you’ll get a referral discount; which is also a great way to cut some costs!

I can’t say enough good things about Jose he save my life well my social life.
I had a very special event to go to and I went to a another Newbury Street salon the day before the event and this person butchered my hair I didn’t even want this person attempting to fix it anymore because they were just cutting more and more off, a old client of mine told me to go here so I did and Jose fixed it just in time for the event and I got compliments on my hair the whole night…

I get my balayage hair done by Alejandra. She is so so awesome and listens to what I want. I go for a natural look and she did exactly that. When you have short hair, sometimes it needs more depth and she understood it. Also, prices are surprisingly not too bad for being on Newbury street. I’ve only came two times but she will be my colorist for now on. I would recommend Alejandra a million and one times.

Monica is the BEST waxer I have ever had — and I’ve been searching in Boston for a long time. She’s funny, efficient and does a fabulous job. I cannot recommend Monica, or the very clean and lovely salon, more highly. Won’t go anywhere else!

I was never planning on writing a review, but after speaking to a couple of people about my experience I realized that what they did wasn’t right what so ever and I shouldn’t feel bad about it.
I dyed my hair myself at home and didn’t like how it turned out and decided to try them as they were near my job and I had to go to work afterwards. My hair was a white blonde and after my appointment, my roots turned blazing orange and the rest of my hair just looked like a hot mess. I paid and cried as I left the salon. I was embarrassed to walk down the street looking like that. The person who did my hair saw it, did not say anything about how horrible it looked but you could tell in her face. Nobody in the salon said anything about it. I went to work absolutely distraught and dyed my hair brown the first thing when I got home because I couldn’t think of any other way to fix that mess and I certainly did not want to have that hair for longer than a second.
I called to let them know of my experience, I spoke to a manager who took down my number and said the general manager would call… It’s been a month, I haven’t received any calls from them.

When it comes to facials– 5 stars. Monica is fantastic at treating your skin, determining your needs, and giving you skin care products that work with your routine and needs. She always does an amazing job with facials and she is the main and only reason I come back.
Manicures and pedicures– mediocre. They weren’t the best nor were they the worst mani and/​or pedi that I received. They were very pricey and making an appointment is difficult given that the specialist are booked solid with repeat guests. The highlight of their mani and pedi service was the different lotions and creams they use but the actual manicure and polish selection is very limited. I was never impressed with this service which is why I eventually found a different place to get manis and pedis.
Hair services– I have curly ethnic hair so I wouldn’t recommend this place for that. Thick curly hair is hard to deal with. I got a blow dry and flat iron a few times but as soon as I walked outside it would get all frizzy. Again, I’m sure they do great hair services just not on my thick curly ethnic hair.

I am boycotting beaucage. The last couple of times I’ve come in have been quite horrible experiences.
I came in for a facial that I had arranged over GILT voucher. The receptionist stated that I could only have the facial with one single person (after I showed up there for my appointment) and would not let me see the person I had scheduled for over an hour. Finally, the person who was to give me the facial came to her senses and gave me a mediocre facial anyways. I had come in early at 8am on a morning and had to reschedule the appointment for 2 months ahead when I could have just been seen right away.
Today, I had set up an appointment to do a «Single-​Process Color & Blow-​Out» through GILT again and was asked to pay an additional $ 25 along with the $ 20 tip she gave. This is completely unacceptable.
Their service Boston area are mediocre at best which is why I have not paid full price (besides my waxes with Karen Venezia which has been great). With the way Beaucage has been behaving when I’ve come in with GILT vouchers has been rude and show that they are only interested in making money and do NOT care about customer service or satisfaction.
Hence, I will not be coming here again.

All I can say is MISTY, MISTY, MISTY! No one likes getting a Brazilian wax that I know but you can change that if you get a chance to have a Brazilian with Misty. I have been going for over a year and I can’t sing her praises enough. Not only is it virtually painless and I have a very low threshold for pain but she is hilarious and totally easy to be around when your half naked. I encourage anyone afraid to try a Brazilian to come to Misty she is a waxing genius.
As for the rest of Beaucage I continue to give it a 5 star. I have used them since I moved to Boston 7 years ago and they have been absolutely incredible. Five Stars all around!

Honestly, Don’t start going here. I now have to shell out more money at another salon after going here 2x in one week just to have blonde hair! Wasted $ 400 on this place! Way better places to get your hair done!
I was going on and off for a couple years, I guess I got comfortable and was nervous going somewhere else. Adrienne was my hair stylist and while her technique is good, she NEVER listens, Never. She does what she wants.
I wanted to be blonde and I leave with darker hair then when I started! She chopped off all my blonde hair on the bottom because my hair was melting midway! Not to mention they left me with conditioner in my hair for over an hour, found out it was because she was overbooked. Then the dryer shut off and I was sitting there for 25 min with wet hair and freezing! Listening to the rude girls at the front chit chatting. The only nice one up front is the manager.
Then I leave with an awful cut and brown hair with orangey streaks. She had done my hair well in the past, but I had to come in 2x in one week to get her to put more blonde in my hair. This time she melted my hair and was disregarding my feelings about it saying «oh its fine» Ummm, no its not fine! An extra 5″ had to be cut off because of it, but she never said anything about it, she just kept chopping as I was in shock. I emailed customer service and they had me come back and I saw a different hair dresser. I told her I wanted my hair blonde, she then tells me she doesn’t have time to do a full foil and that she only had an hour for me. Then why the heck did I come back?! Overpriced and its always a frustrating experience. They overbook and please, if your starting your new look for the season and looking for a nice place to get your hair done, this is not the place!

Lola is so great — professional, sweet and gives fantastic cuts and blow outs. Well priced for the area and they always try to squeeze me in when I call last minute.

Just got a pedicure. It was okay and the lady was nice but it was nothing special. No real massage incorporated, which is usually my favorite part, and she cut my toenails pretty short and a little crooked. I used a spaFinder gift card but the whole thing was $ 55 +tip. I would never pay out of pocket for that especially when it didn’t come with any added service from my typical place that costs $ 35. My appointment was at 7pm and it only took 35 mins to do the whole thing and then the lady went home before my toes were dry… Little strange. All in all I wouldn’t recommend going here for a pedicure but the place was nice for a salon.
