Recently had my car at the Koehler’s Auto Body. They are amazing… they worked with my insurance and the other parties insurance to make sure that I was taken care of. I love that its a family owned and that they looked out for my best interest.

I recently had my car worked on at Koehler Auto Body, they did an excellent job it looks brand new. I had three other quotes from other body shops and they had the lowest bid. I would recommend them highly as they do excellent work for car repair.

I wouldn’t recommend this shop, my experience with them was not good. They overcharged on the repair, almost twice the initial verbal estimate and replaced parts that didn’t need replacing. The work was good but there were too many issues I was not comfortable with.
They took way to long to get the car back to me as parts had not arrived, and were not honest about when I would get the car. Then suggested I drive it around without the moulding while waiting. We’re talking about a new car and an almost 5000 $ repair. It was less than a half hour drive for them to go get the parts but this was their solution they preferred to wait for days until delivered to them telling me it wasn’t there responsibility!
Excuse me if I leave my car to be repaired isnt its the shops responsibility? Additionally, patronizing to women. Don’t go here.

I’ll be the first to admit it dealing with car stuff gives me major anxiety. I’ve had so so many gross experiences and been ripped off countless times. When one of my old lady neighbors hit my parked car I simply was dreading dealing with it. But Kurt at Koelhers was recommended by my mom so I checked them out. Not only did they save me a ton of money but they just made the experience nice and easy and comfortable. They order and painted the part in advance, so I could just drop in and get a cup of tea next door while they installed it and drive off like 30 minutes later.
They are awesome and honest and I just highly recommend them.

worst experience i’ve had with an auto repair shop. I own an old car so ive been around the block when it comes to mechanics. I went here because of all the great reviews, but not only did kurt sr. charge me four hours for a two hour job, it wasn’t even done correctly and my wheels are now out of alignment which i am going to have to pay to fix. i tried to call them but they will not speak to me. from all the other reviews i would of thought they cared more about customer service than money. they have proven the stereotype of shady mechanics

It’s now 4 months after I had Koehler replace a back light assembly. I was told by someone that the backup light (on the side that was replaced) was not working. I called the shop and Rigo is no longer working there. I spoke to Curt and he said to bring the car in and the light would be replaced at no charge. I had ordered an after market back light which I presume was working properly when the car was repaired in May. Through no fault of Koehler’s, the part that the bulb fits into went bad. After going through 2 boxes of this part, for every different kind of car, and determined that what I needed was not there, Koehler’s ordered the part from Toyota. They will call me next week when the part arrives and will pop it in. These people are so pleasant to deal with. Is it any wonder that everybody except one gives them 5 star reviews? I’ll never have to shop around again for an auto body shop. What more can you ask than having knowledgeable, pleasant people give you superb workmanship, stand behind their work and do it at a reasonable price?

Let me start off by saying that when it comes to my car, I’m not the most attentive owner. Someone knocked my driver side mirror off about 2 months ago and I’ve been driving around with it taped on ever since. In addition the front bumper was coming off due to being scraped on a parking bar. Needless to say my little Altima was not looking good. I’m on a real tight budget and was referred to Koehler after my usual mechanic said he couldn’t glue the mirror back on for liability reasons. Boy am I glad I followed his advice.
The guys at Koehler offered to screw the mirror back on which was fine with me since looks didn’t matter much. They quoted me $ 20, had it done in 15 minutes, and fixed my bumper for free! Very friendly service too. I’m sure I could have spent an afternoon trying to figure out away to attached both parts back to the car but for $ 20 I’m totally sold on these guys.

I recently needed a mysteriuos water leak sealed on my car and quickly found out that not all shops are up to working with leaks. I was referred to Koehler by a highly regarded shop nearby.
At Koehler I was given an estimate within 10 minutes one afternoon and brought my car back the next morning to have the work done. When I returned to pick up my car, the two men who worked on it were more than eager to relate all of the exciting details of the fix – it was clear that they truly know and love what they do. I ended up paying $ 20 over the estimate due to the complexity of the fix, but it was well worth it and guaranteed work. I would definitely take my car to these guys again for any future body work.

The hood latch on my Honda Civic was broken due to a collision by a previous owner. It took a while to completely break, but the hood was truly in danger of flying up and blocking my view when driving at freeway speeds. I took the car to Berkeley Auto Body and they gave me a quote of $ 1000 to get a new front «torsion bar» (?) and paint it — because they didn’t want the liability for welding it up themselves. So I rolled it a block further down the street to Koehler and they said that they’d weld it up for less than $ 300! In fact, they did the repair for a total of $ 250! I loved their attitude of no nonsense, can do competence. No fuss, no bother — just do it. I will go to them for any future body work. Highly recommended.

I owned a 2005 g35 and my rear bumper needed to be repaired. So I took it to Infiniti of Marin to get it fixed… upon return of the car I noticed the bumper had extreme «orange peel».
I took it into Koehler’s and Rigo informed me that Infiniti of Marin attempted to re-​use the same bumper and paint over it. I threatened Infiniti so they refunded me my money.
I then had Rigo paint my new bumper and the result was terrific !
in short, Rigo and Jerry do an awesome job working with newer cars with metallic paint.

Family business owned by the same family since it opened. The father is trying to pass it to his sons. Kurt is the oldest and runs it mostly now but the dad Jerry is on site almost every day as well. I have had 2 cars painted here and 1 just fixed and touched up. They do a nice job with no hassle’s and are very friendly and will bend over backwards to help. For your body needs go no where else

Kurt and Rigo are the best! Just like Jen K mentioned in her feedback of Koehler Auto Body, my part was preordered, they were so helpful and professional. While waiting for the repair which didn’t take long at all, Kurt directed me to an awesome café down the road… I could tell he’d been there a long time and had positive relationships with the other businesses in the neighborhood.
Enterprise Rent A Car is next door which is helpful as well!
This business has been around for over 40 years. There’s a reason why. Have NO hesitation whatsoever in bringing your car here, I couldn’t recommend them more highly.

These folks are indeed as good as it gets! They really work with you, are reasonable, and get things done on time. They are honest and the work looks great. I have had quite a number of things done and each time they are helpful. They have even done the small items for no charge. (But I have been there for plenty of big things too.) They always seem to really appreciate that you came to them. I can’t recommend them highly enough!
They came to me via a recommendation by Berkeley Minicar — the best car repair place around! Same philosophy — honest, helpful, good work, and reasonable. They never fix what doesn’t need fixing and they always do a good job on what does. Plus they are on time and friendly!
