M & M Garage

I had an accident with my husband’s new car and he was really concerned about the quality of the work that needed to be done. The owner, Raj, was very straight forward and reassured me that the car would look like new. Not only did they complete the work earlier than expected, they did an absolutely fantastic job! My husband and I would highly recommend them.

A neighbor backed into my bumper yesterday, and I thought I would need to replace it. Got one estimate of close to $ 1000, and then decided to check with these guys. I drove up today, Rodg looked at it, and said they could push out the dent and would have it done in a few hours. True to his word, the car was done, looked perfect and cost a fraction of my previous estimate. Not only that, but these folks are really nice!

I’d read previous reviews and decided to give M&M a chance as one place in SF burned me bad work after a rear end accident. And the other located in Berkeley does relatively good work but are very expensive.
Brought in my SUV for rear window repair and the estimate seemed honest and the owner is friendly, approachable, courteous and willing to work with you. Window now works like a charm. They performed the work (though minor) quickly.
I now get estimates and bring all my vehicles here for body work.
I would highly recommend M&M for repairs.
**Note: I’ve not experienced major body repairs at the shop yet however.

Over the years our front bumper had been pulled lower from various parking lot curbs, out pitched driveways, intersections and it would scrape. We talked to many mechanics who said it’s just the way car manufacturers make cars these days with low to the ground bumpers. They were able to jerry-​rig it over time but nothing worked. We finally sucked it up and went to a body shop and had the bumper replaced. M&M came recommended by our mechanic and they did great work. It looked great and no more scrapes pulling out of the driveway or going over speed bumps. It is great. After being told for years we would have to deal with some scraping, we are very happy to have none anymore.

Last month I took my MINI who had suffered not only two dents, but also a botched job by a scam artist. As you can imagine, I walked into the garage with my spirits in the dumps. The guys at M & M garage were so great, flexible, personable and transparent, I knew I was in good hands. The job was great — no sign of damage, perfect color match, done in good time and excellent price. They even waited for me to pick up the car late after work.

This place was absolutely fantastic in every sense. Someone hit my car’s rear bumper and damaged it to the point that it needed to be replaced. I brought the car in, got an estimate and they said they could get started on it right away. They were very accommodating and wanted to make sure I knew that I could bring the car back when the parts arrived, paint it, etc. so I would never be without wheels. I had a rental so it wasn’t necessary but it was great of them to offer. They did a fantastic job fixing it. I can’t notice a thing, and it was in an out in less than a week. Couldn’t have asked for anything better.

My car’s side view mirror hit another car’s side view mirror (darned narrow streets with on-​street parking)! The other guy’s mirror was fine; it had a tiny scratch on it, which didn’t bother him. My car was not so lucky; the mirror came off, was hanging by its cord, and the glass was cracked. I took my car to Auto Alpina, because they’re excellent, but the mechanic said he didn’t do that kind of work, and suggested I try M&M.
The son of one of the owners was running the place the day I came in. He ordered the part in front of me, with the computer in my full view, talked on the phone with me there, etc. The guy let me know he’d call me as soon as the part came in, and his father’s business partner taped the old mirror back in place until I could get it replaced.
The mirror took about three days to arrive (longer than the two the guy estimated, but he can’t control what shippers do), and he called me immediately. I took the car in on my lunch break at my day job. It took one of their mechanics about 10 minutes to replace the mirror, and he also fixed my car’s plastic fender/​bumper, which was a little out of place from being bumped (on-​street parking, speed bumps/​troughs, and poorly-​designed driveways do that) at no extra charge. The cost for labor was reasonable, but mostly I appreciated the speed and quality of service, since my tutoring business requires I have a car, and my day job doesn’t leave me much time to stand around waiting for it to be fixed. Great service!

The wonderful people and M&M took great care of me and my dinged up door. They were clear and forthright with the repair estimate and options and repaired it quickly and affordably. Highly recommend.

Couldn’t be happier! The estimate was significantly less than all of the others, and the work was done very quickly and the results perfect. They even pounded out another large dent, for free. Skip all of the other places and go directly to M&M!

I called M&M garage at 5:40pm on a Friday when I almost ran out of gas and my gas door lever broke. I was in a panic and luckily found M&M as a nearby mechanic. Raj told me he can see me at that moment so I drove over and was greeted by a very friendly man. I told them I was in a rush for a dinner meeting and need help to fix the problem as soon as possible. The mechanic immediately took a look at the lever and dismantled it to diagnose the problem. He explained that the plastic had bent and loosened the mechanism. He was able to fix the problem in 15 minutes which was amazing! He was seriously some kind of car wizard. They were friendly and understanding the entire time. My Friday could have turned into a disaster and they totally saved the day. I would definitely come back here and plan to bring my family friends if they ever need their car fixed!

M and m garage is now my go to place. My 2013 rav 4 ev needed back bumper and side mirror cover.
Every one at this auto body garage is well trained and very helpful. I must say they have done an exceptional job machine paint.

The guys at M & M really helped me out this passed weekend. A little while back I learned a lesson in physics in my car and needed a few dents pulled out… and money pulled out of my own pocket since it was that sort of physics lesson.
The guys at M & M not only completed the job in about an hour, saving me from having to leave my car and pick it up days later, but they were very reasonably priced, and super friendly to boot!
Hopefully, I have learned this particular lesson and won’t need ti straighten out my car again, but if i do, I will certainly go to M & M for their spectacular help.

These guys do incredible work. There are a lot of jerks in this business and the father and son team at M&M garage are great human beings who actually care to help you out and provide excellent customer service. I got my baby (2014 Shelby GT500) into a fender bender, went and got several estimates for repair, M&M garage had the lowest priced estimate, and they are exceptionally honest about which parts you need to actually repair/​replace and which parts can be patched and how to save you money. That is so rare to find in the world of body shops normally trying to rip you off. Throughout the process of repair they were encouraging, friendly, and warm, and I was left with the feeling we could all grab beers sometime.

Somebody hit the front of my beautiful car. Luckily their insurance took care of everything and M&M was very close to my house. I checked their Unilocal reviews which were quite strong so I went ahead and use them. They were efficient, timely, professional, super nice and my car looks absolutely beautiful. It was effortless for me, they dealt with the insurance company, the payments and all of that good stuff so that burden didn’t falls on my shoulders. Very nice people, small operation and I have strong trust in what they do. I think you’ll be in great hands.

I took my car here to have some bumper stickers removed and a big ding in my bumper banged out. They did exactly what I wanted, quickly, and for a decent price. Very friendly folks, too.

Our car had an unfortunate meeting with a pole that resulted in a damaged quarter panel, bumper, and broken tail light. I initially went to M & M for just an estimate since their reviews were so outstanding. I was thoroughly impressed with their honesty and they were very straightforward about my options should I want to pursue repairs out of pocket or file through my insurance.
I decided to file through my insurance and they were fast and efficient at getting the estimate uploaded and working with my insurance to get my car repaired ASAP. I got the car back today (earlier than I expected!!) and it looks amazing! The estimate was right on point and I am so glad to have my car back, looking like new.
I hope I don’t need to see these guys again, but everyone was fantastic and easy to deal with. I would definitely come back here should our car have any other unfortunate meetings.

I brought our 1990 VW Vanagon to M&M after it was in a four-​vehicle collision on the Bay Bridge. The entire rear end of our van was smashed in, but it was still sort of drivable, and luckily the insurance adjustor found no structural damage. Based on the Unilocal reviews I decided to bring our van to M&M. (I should mention here that we live in Seattle, and we were just driving home from vacation in Tucson, Arizona). Raj and his son Vahe are wonderfully nice people, and they explained to me that it might take many weeks to find all the parts secondhand, or to have them fabricated, but we wanted our van repaired no matter how long it might take.
Every good review you read on Unilocal about M&M is all true! I should add only that Raj and Vahe were very patient with me, since I called them every few days (I had flown back to Seattle in the meantime). They did an excellent job.
Polite, honest, trustworthy people, and excellent workmanship done at a reasonable price – what more could you want from an automotive body shop?

These guys are great. I don’t know why I bothered going to other shops.
First Experience: Girlfriends car gets totaled in an accident. We take it to M&M for a repair estimate and they tell us everything that’s wrong, give us the complete part-​by-​part breakdown and our options for second-​hand and manufacturer parts. All for free.
Second Experience: I’m not the best of drivers and I tend to scrape on curbs when I park sometimes. I’ve had my front bumper held on with duct tape for a couple years now, but the bumper was falling off so much that I had to get it repaired. The first place I go to quotes me $ 900 for a new bumper and it’s not possible to repair. Holy cow, I’m not made of money. I call another place, they need me to come in tomorrow. What is this junk? It’s a weekday, I’m taking time off of work for this. So I call up M&M. They can see me on the spot, and they tell me they can repair it for a quarter of what the other place quoted. Then they do it in 3 hours that very day.
On the way out the mechanic noticed some yellow paint on a side door from when I scraped on a pillar while parking a couple years ago (you notice a common theme here in me being bad at parking?). He rubs it off and cleans it up with some chemicals for free. Now my car looks better than has in years, it was cheap, and it got done in a couple hours. I’m not wasting my time with other body shops after this. M&M is my first stop.

If there were any higher honors, I wouldn’t know who to give it. This is as good as it gets!
I brought in my Acura TSX with an air resonator that was completely destroyed, along with a dented fender and damaged bumper (the bumper was completely off the car). I’d seen great reviews on Unilocal but didn’t realize the vast difference between what I thought was a good body shop and them.
I took my car first to Gilman Auto Repair that gave me a quote of $ 3200 and basically recommended replacing everything that was wrong with the front of my car.
M&M respected the fact that I was paying out of pocket and recommended what would be needed to make my car safe for the road and the passengers ($ 400).
My initial thoughts were «you get what you pay for» but at the same time I wasn’t ready to sink three grands.
When I got the car back, I really shouted out «holy sh$t». These guys had not only replaced the air resonator, put the bumper and grill back of safely but then went above and beyond taking out the dent from the fender and replacing the damaged fog lamps attached to the bumper.
Amazing!
Besides their quality workmanship what also really stood out was that they were so easy to talk to, did not at any time put pressure on me for any repairs, and were great communicators before and during the repairs.
My experience with the other shops where I got a quote was that they felt they were doing me a favor (probably because I was paying out of pocket instead of going through insurance). They, on the other hand, always made me feel that I was just as important as all of their customers who have an insurance company paying for them and really took their time to answer my questions instead of trying to impose their «expertise» on me.
