Established in 1998.

Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Koch Architects, Inc. partners with residential and commercial clients to realize urban, metropolitan and rural projects that enhance and enliven the architectural spaces that shape and define our client’s lives.

We see every project is a new opportunity to apply our skills and experience, guiding clients through the process of dreaming, designing, building and furnishing their projects. Weaving together client needs and aspirations, aesthetics, sustainability and budget, our goal is an inspired project that both serves and delights.

With new build, remodel and interior projects throughout California and the West, Koch Architects establishes strong working relationships with communities, public agencies, consultants and contractors. Many clients are repeat customers, engaging Koch Architects for their city, country and commercial projects over time.

Business Owner

For 25 years I have had the pleasure to work as an architect and designer in California and throughout the West, completing urban, rural, country and coastal projects for living and work.

Established in 1998, my firm, Koch Architects, Inc., offers full service architecture and design as well as consulting for color, interiors and custom furniture.

Prior to establishing Koch Architects, I enjoyed 10 years working with both large and small firms in San Francisco and Sonoma County. Projects included live-​work warehouse conversions and row houses in the steep hills of San Francisco; retail and offices for Apple Computer, Smith & Hawken, Earthsake and Banana Republic; wineries, restaurants (including French Laundry in Yountville, CA) and residential country estates.

A member of the American Institute of Architects, I have been licensed since 1994, having received a 5-​year Bachelor of Architecture from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 1988.
