We have changed the way people pack and move by developing a moving box alternative to cardboard boxes. ZippGo has created a moving box made from recycled plastic that is delivered right to you. No more worrying about finding dirty cardboard boxes on Craigslist or buying them and spending hours building them at home with tape. ZippGo boxes come ready to be packed with durable attached lids. ZippGo has specially designed packages based on the number of bedrooms in your home.

The way it works is simple! You place an order on our website or by phone, we deliver the boxes to you, you pack and move to your new place, and then we pick up the boxes after you’re done unpacking.

We clean every box after each use so when you receive a ZippGo moving box, its sparkling clean. Compare that to cardboard boxes which can carry lots of dirt and dust and used cardboard boxes which can also carry bedbugs or other critters. Established in 2009.

Ash Sud came up with the concept in 2002 while running an award winning organic grocery delivery company he founded in 2001. In this previous business, Ash, delivered grocery in green plastic totes to homes and businesses. During this time, Ash embarked on a move, and used the green boxes to pack his personal belongings. After merging the company with North America’s largest organic home delivery company in 2008, Ash embarked on another move in 2009. After being forced to use cardboard for this move, Ash realized the moving method he created intuitively in 2002 would not only make moving easier for millions of people, but also would help the environment by significantly reducing the amount of cardboard boxes used in moves across the US. He created larger boxes which were perfect for moving and made them from 100% recycled plastic. ZippGo was born.

I grew up locally in Fremont and have been living in the Bay Area for most of my life. I started ZippGo in 2009 after having a bad experience using cardboard boxes for my own personal move within San Francisco. My number one goal when I started ZippGo was to create an amazing customer service experience around moving boxes. I believe we have succeeded. We’re still a small company but we’ve been growing through customer referrals ever since. The best part of running ZippGo is when customers tell me ZippGo boxes actually made their move «Fun»! Who would have thought… :)

Prior to launching ZippGo, I was the owner of a growing Bay Area organic grocery delivery service which was merged with North America’s largest organic grocery delivery service. I have been involved with sustainable businesses for more than a decade. I’m always happy to help in any way, so please feel to reach out if you think I can contribute.
