My three point plan is as follows:

1) Walk through your property and find trees that don’t work anymore in your ten year plan for your yard or property, and remove them.

2) Trees that do work, we will prune, thin deadwood, shape, and safety prune and basically take good care of them so they will be healthy and prosper.

3) Plant new tree or bushes that are well suited for the size of your property and your landscaping goals.

Established in 1975.

Han Waller built Coastal Tree Service out of his extensive arborist experience and has served as the expert tree service to over two thousand customers over the past 35 years. His clients come back to his service time and again since his crews do such a quality job in tree trimming, removal, and planting services.

Outstanding work. I had a pretty big job; about 100 feet of 30-​year-​old junipers that had grown up to 12 feet wide and over 6 feet high. Rich and the crew just got in there and did it. Really pleasant men. Then Hans came in and ground out the stumps. Excellent cleanup. Reasonable price. I can’t say enough about this company. Thank you!

A few months ago I had 2 big oaks, a huge deodar cedar and a tall plum tree thinned and 2 dying black walnut trees and some dead fruit trees removed. I was really pleased with the look of the oaks when they were finished — beautiful! They also did a great job grinding out the stumps of the trees that were removed and cleaned up everything nicely. They were also the lowest quote of 3 companies I met with.

Hans and the Coastal Tree crew did an excellent job pollarding a large tree outside our building. He stayed friendly and professional during our price negotiation and made quick work of our out-​of-​control tree. The clean up was quite good and our office staff loves all the sunlight we now have every morning. We will happily use Coastal again.

We live on 6 acres on the edge of Wildcat Canyon and our trees can get out of control. Coastal Tree Service has come about every 2 years and whipped things into shape! They are safe, efficient and clean. We have been very happy with their work which is both aesthetic and fast without sacrificing safety. We will continue to use them into the future.

We used Coastal Tree Service to cut down 4 dying redwoods in our backyard. They were reasonably priced, reliable and professional. The clean up was fantastic. Hans was there the entire time overseeing his crew. We would highly recommend Costal Tree Service to anyone in need of tree pruning or removal.

We have a 120 foot coastal redwood tree just 15 feet from our living room window. For the first 15 years that we owned our home we largely ignored the tree. Bad idea. After a branch fell on our house and another one on our neighbor’s car, we could no longer keep our heads in the sand.
We found Hans in 2003. Now we have him or his crew climb the tree every couple years to «thin the sail» and remove overweight branches and deadwood. Today they brought down two large dead branches that were hanging precariously over our house and driveway.
Both Hans and his foreman, Rich, are experts in what they do and provide great service at reasonable prices. In addition, Hans is not only a State Licensed Contractor but he is also a Certified Arborist — which gives me added confidence in his work.
Highly recommend Hans and Coastal Tree Service for jobs big or small…

We’ve used Hans and his crew repeated times, to trim a huge (and fast-​growing) live oak in our yard, remove a large limb that fell on a roof, cut back and neaten up a large border hedge, and so on. They are professional, responsive, and reasonably priced. The guys have all been in the business for years.
