My five guys experience today started with lack of hygiene lack of listening skills and the order wasn’t even complicated as well the food coming out loose, oily and sloppy. I decided to give them a try as In & Out was kind of busy and I have had decent five guys experience in the past. This particular restaurant had more staff behind the counter than customers waiting for orders, yet there was food on the floor, on the tables and not one staff member addressed the issues. I ordered just 2 small burgers — I told the staff member, two burgers the same please — lettuce, ketchup and grilled onions — ONE with pickles… I was asked what I wanted on the second burger. this made me chuckle. When ordering at In N Out, they are able to juggle far more complex orders. The bun was pretty greasy and the wrapping made it soggy due to lack of ventilation. By the time we ate it 10 minutes later it was quite unappetizing. The fries were fantastic. I will continue to cherish memories of the fries here and will return for that item only. The dirty food on the floor and tables does not give this site a very appetizing or hygienic first impression when walking into the store. I would have thought a burger costing 3x more than an IN-N-Out burger would be 3x better. I was very wrong about this. I normally don’t post about fast food places — but my experience today left me feeling like I wasted my time, and my money, and my appetite. I have also posted directly to the customer service desk at Five Guys.

This is a poor In And Out Burger rip-off. The restaurant is cold and uninviting. The service is mediocre. The food is nothing special. I won’t be back.

Tried this place twice now and although the burger customization options are nice and the burger is decent, I just can’t go higher than 3 stars. The reason is due to the fact that it seems to take quite a bit of time for the burgers to come out and for the price, I’d just rather go a bit further down El Camino to Jack’s Prime for their Ultimate Bacon Burger. I’d eat here again if I was short on time since it’s close to the office and would recommend if you are in a pinch for time too.

Big clue @ every 5 Guys location ever — TURNDOWNYOURMUSIC! I’m not that old, really, and I like my music loud at times– but every time it has ruined the experience at 5 Guys. Food: Not as ever as good as In n Out and certainly no comparison to Fuddrucker’s. Thinking maybe they were once good and now are just another burger place we have too many of. Burgers lack juiciness and flavor and fries over– salted. Staff– Really helpful and friendly!

If you like five guys burgers, this place is awesome! After reading other reviews on Unilocal,I was very hesitant to come here but I found them all wrong! See pics. Either the management has improved or those reviewers suck. Not sure which. Pros: 1. Right next to Caltrain station 2. Great burgers with crazy toppings 3. As clean as restaurants get… don’t go licking the floors though, that would be weird 4. Friendly staff, don’t expect any hugs and kisses Cons: 1. Well, its a fast food joint. Watch your waistline!

This is THE worst Fives Guys I’ve ever been to. Upon walking in I immediately notice every table is filthy. The floors are filthy and looked like they haven’t been swept. I walked up to the counter to order and wasn’t greeted. In fact the cashier at the time was very rude and condescending. I asked if they had milkshakes. Like other Five guys do have and he looked at me like I was an idiot. After I placed my order I had to ask them to clean a table for me since they still hadn’t done so. I can go on about the poor customer service and cleanliness of the restrooms as well. I’ll leave it at this. I will never go here again. If this was my first time coming to this location I would never go to a Five Guys again. This is an embarrassment to the franchise.

Many of the previous reviews are spot on. I came to grab my son a burger after school. Burger over cooked. Fries burned or cooked in old oil and oddly cut unlike any other franchise. Soda area filthy. By far the worst Five Guys I’ve been to across the country. I will not be back. Management you need to fix it. Bad experience all around.

Much better. They’ve got their«newly opened» issues handled and the food is as good as I remember when first discovering Five Guys in Washington, D.C. I’m good with them now.

Five Guys Burgers not a fan of. their burgers. peanuts addictive. price is right: all u can eat– free eats: grilled cheese on hamburger bun(3.99) –unlimited toppings available, choose sliced mushrooms, green peppers –came on hamburger bun, not white bread –tasted fab. better than burger 3.5 stars. crumbs: –notice wrapping technigue, unique, not a wrap, just fold and squeeze, save seconds –got sammie in minutes.

Their burgers are still decent, but I think Unilocal should not let this restaurant be listed under fast food. Three of is came in at 5:30 on a Tuesday and it was not busy at all. There were about 6 employees looking at one another while my order was not being made. It should not take 25 minutes to get a burger when you are the only customer. The service stinks here.

Usually love Five guys — but someone please tell them to lay off the salt on the fries. The burger with bacon and BBQ sauce is my fave an I love the free peanuts and the fact it’s made to order. The burger is awesome but the fries coup be cooked a smudge longer and next time I will be ordering with salt on the side. The one in Redwood City seems busier an a bit better than the one in Belmont. Also — they need to get out and clean the tables once in awhile and empty the trash(overflowing)

Stil a good place, but it seems like the pickled jalapeños they now use are too tame, almost like having green peppers in your dog. Way too bland for jalapeños.

I’ve been to other locations & haven’t thought it was anything special. I went to this one last weekend & I have changed my mind! It was soooo yummy! Got a baby cheeseburger w/bacon & fixings & shared a large fries with 2 other people. It was a good amount of food & didn’t leave me feeling completely stuffed. the burger was hot, cheesy & yummy. fries were cooked perfectly & so good. I’ll be back Five Guys!

Only 4 stars because I hate waiting! It took 7 minutes to cook my burger. Well I shouldn’t complain — fresh to order … But this place is pretty tasty. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger with my toppings; I can’t reveal them to you since it’s a secret but I recommend putting mayo, ketchup, mustard, & bbq sauce on the bacon cheeseburger. It was fairly quiet when I came in — between lunch & dinnertime to ensure the rush would not be there. Pretty straightforward deal at any 5 guys but this one in particular gives HELLA fries! I ordered a small & got a whole bag of fries. I wish I could remember the guys name but next time I’ll say thank you! Trying to get me fat? Haha. I’ll still come back.

Great burger, hot dogs, and fries. I went with the Mini(only one burger patty instead of two) Bacon Cheeseburger and a Bacon Cheese Hot Dog. Both were great. I tried both the Cajun and Regular Fries and definitely enjoyed the slightly spicy Cajun ones more. In the eternal duel, I prefer In-N-Out, but my friend likes Five Guys more. Today, we can all be winners — they both serve great burgers.

A new Five Guys location recently opened near my apartment and I was itching to check it out. My buddy and I hadn’t hung out in a while so it was the perfect time to stuff our faces despite the fact that we knew we would be exceeding our calorie limits for the day. Cheat day I guess? I ordered their bacon cheeseburger by itself since I had fries earlier in the day. I’m kinda on the fence about the burgers being haphazardly assembled and difficult to eat since they tend to fall apart. However, flavors were solid though I think some of my bacon was overdone and caused the combination of textures to be all off. It’s a good burger, just not as well thought out like In-N-Out’s. Service was fast and friendly and there’s even some dog-friendly seats on the outside patio. The floor is often covered with peanut shells but they’re swept up pretty quickly. Overall, I’m a fan, but as always, In-N-Out is my first choice. Food: 7⁄10 Service: 8⁄10 Price: $$ Atmosphere: 7⁄10

This place is small, grab a seat fast. They have free peanuts while you wait so that is pretty cool. For major CA comparisons people would say it is like In-N-Out. I will say which is better at the end. Food wise the burger is pretty good. You get a lot of «free» toppings such as grilled mushrooms and onions. Can even add jalapenos and A1 sauce. I got a bacon cheesburger«all the way» with jalapenos and A1. The burger is juicy but the bun just does not hold up. Can’t keep the bun together with the meat while biting in. Topping wise you get a fair amount, but the«free» toppings are reflected in the burger price. It’s about twice the price of In-N-Out for a burger. For those who don’t know a normal burger there is 2 patties. To get just 1 patty you need to get a little burger. I also got fries, which are thick cut and covered with a seasoning type salt. The fries are much better than In-N-Out. In conclusion, the burgers are pretty good but pricey. The taste is similar to In-N-Out, but the price is a deal breaker. Burgerwise, In-N-Out comes out as the winner.

Despite forgetting to check-in, I did arrived to the newest Five Guys in Belmont. The new burger joint, on the corner of El Camino Real and Ralston Ave and located across the street from the Cal-train station, took the spot of an Chinese Buffet place. I am happy the Chinese restaurant is gone, because I never enjoyed eating there. At first, I was not a fan of the burger franchise. But my loathing hatred has changed into a positive one when more locations pop up. In fact, I have gone to Five Guys for my burger-craving more than any other franchise burger joints combine in recent months. My first visit of the new restaurant, I ordered my usual; Bacon Cheeseburger with all the toppings including the kitchen sink for $ 6.95. There are no combo meals here and every item(s) is sold separately. So I ordered a small order of Cajun fries and endless refills of coke. Five Guys still give a lot of fries for a small order. And just like all the Five Guys restaurants, this new location also have the unique Coke machine. And to make my meal enjoyable, I snucked in a small bottle of Sailor’s Jerry rum to mix with Gold Peak’s Lemon Iced Tea. «Now my meal is complete!» I still occasionally sneak in hard liquors to places where they offer free refills of sodas! Five Guys is currently one of the rise and shine franchises with more locations popping up.

Oh hai! Another new Five Guys has hit the bay area. The expansion of this Burger chain has been crazy as of late, not content with opening up in Burlingame, Redwood City and San Bruno they had to go and open one in Belmont too. I’m no Burger expert but these are pretty damn good for a fast food place and beats In and Out for sure(sorry!). The patties are actually pretty big and if I’m completely honest ”a little Burger” really is enough for me but eye’s bigger than my tummy I had to go and order a double, big mistake. The fillings are fresh and plentiful too but I don’t like how the bun is always squashed. Is this intentional or do they just get packed way too tight in transit? The location is what used to be U Buffet and right on the corner of El Camino and Ralston, you can’t miss it. Parking is limited in this little shopping plaza so I advise parking down the other end near Menchies and Game Stop then walk that little bit further to get your Burger fix. They also don’t have the funky Coke machine here but there is a nice outdoor patio with 4 or 5 tables to sit at. 3.5÷5
