Disney’s Hollywood Studios Bus Depot

Maybe the only negative report in Disney but we waited for 40 minutes for a bus to the Polynesian and missed our transportation bus to the airport. That morning we waited longer to get to the park which really cut down our time since we were leaving that day. Overall very bad experience.

Love these guys and girls, we showed up after the park closed along with some other people trying to get a connecting bus to our hotel and found out that the buses were no longer running, the employees here grabbed us an out of service bus and driver and got everyone to their respective hotels.

I really just can’t give Disney anything less than 5 stars for any of their transportation because they are just so darn efficient. Disney makes everything easy!
The buses here will take you to any of the other Disney Parks and also to any of the Disney Resorts. The most I’ve ever had to wait for a bus was about 10 minutes, but it’s generally even faster than that.
There are signs posted everywhere so you’ll know where you need to go to catch the particular bus you need. There are also Cast Members available to assist you as well.
Buses do not go to Downtown Disney from here. If that’s your destination, you’ll need to go to a Disney Resort first and then take a bus to DTD.
One last tip: If you are wanting to go to Epcot, The Swan & Dolphin Resort, The Boardwalk Resort, or The Yacht and Beach Club, there’s a ferry you can take instead of the bus. it is sometimes the faster option. If you are looking to go to the World Showcase at Epcot and want to bypass the front of the Park, then definitely take the ferry because it will drop you at the back entrance to Epcot between France and the UK.

Buses arrive fast to all of the major parks and resorts in Disney World. Transportation here is really efficient and timely. Since we have season passes, we started in Hollywood Studios on New Years Eve and then hopped on a bus over to Magic Kingdom in the evening.
Tip — If the parks are full and you don’t have premium season passes or not staying at a Disney resort, they won’t let you on. On busy days you will see people waiting outside the bus gate for the staff to announcement they reopened to non premium & resort holders. This is probably the only way to get over to Magic Kingdom on New Years eve if you just have normal tickets. There will be a slight chance of them letting you over if enough people leave Magic Kingdom.

Lots of fun for the entire family. Get your fast passes for the Tower of Terror and Rock’n’ Roller coaster as soon as you arrive. Beat right at opening. The backlot tour and Stunt Show can be later as the crowds migrate there later. A fun day but planning is in order unless you want to stand in line all day.
