Epcot Monorail Station

Located right by the entrance at Epcot, this is the station for those who need to board the monorail back to the Transportation and Ticket Center. When the time came for us to head back to the Transportation and Ticket Center, we went to the station. We walked on the ramp, which brought us right to the boarding area. Here, we waited on the platform for the next monorail train to arrive.
Getting to the platform and boarding the train was easy. After waiting for a little bit, the train arrived and brought us back to the Transportation and Ticket Center. The ride to and from was comfortable, especially when we sat down. The scenery was great, especially when we rode through some areas of Epcot.
The station can get crowded at times, which may increase the waiting time for you to board a monorail train. Also, the trains themselves can use a revamp. The exterior appeared to be old, and the interior smelled musty. During peak times, trains can be fully packed.
Overall, this station serves it’s purpose of having tourists board the trains. When waiting in line during peak times, be patient. Always plan your day around the monorail schedule so you’ll know when to come here to board. Enjoy the ride.

I love being able to take the monorail from the Magic Kingdom to Epcot. This station is well laid out, easy to navigate and my favorite stop, my favorite Disney Park!

It is absolutely amazing how efficient expedient Disney is in moving massive amounts of people into and out of their theme parks. You can board a monorail here and take it to the other theme parks, or to some of the other resorts that offer monorail service. Cities in our great nation ought consult with Disney on how to run an efficient public transportation system.

Kind of nuts and surreal to be honest – and definitely more art than science. It’s convenient, sure – between Epcot and Magic Kingdom. But what if you’re at Hollywood Studios? Derp. What if it’s an event weekend and the queues are half an hour just to board? Derp.
Also: COMPLETELY STICKY.

The Epcot Monorail only goes back and forth from the Transportation and Ticket Center and Epcot itself. If you are trying to get to The Magic Kingdom or one of the monorail resorts (The Grand Floridian, The Polynesian, or The Contemporary), you’ll have to get off the monorail at the T&T Center and hop on another one.
Coming into Epcot from the T&T Center gives you a really nice few. The monorail circles around Spaceship Earth and Future World. The is a great opportunity to take some great photos.
The monorail at Epcot is also the ONLY one with an elevator for those in wheelchairs. This may not seem like that big of a deal, but the ramps going up to the monorails are very steep. If there’s not line, it’s not so bad to push someone up. But when there’s a long line coming down one of those inclines, it can be pretty difficult to hold a wheelchair still. I’ve actually inquired at Guest Service about why the other monorails locations don’t have elevators and they told me it’s because the one at The Magic Kingdom and the T&T Center were built before the ADA Guidelines were put into effect. They said it would require a major shutdown of the monorails to install the elevators and it would really hold up transportation for the guests for quite some time. Anyway… now you know if you were curious like me.
Just like at The Magic Kingdom, the Epcot Monorail gets jammed packed at the end of the night when the Park is closing (after Illuminations). You’ll be waiting in a long line and then you’ll be placed into one of the monorail cars and packed in like a sardine. So, if you’ve seen Illuminations before, I highly recommend you get out of the Park before the show starts so you can avoid the mad dash to the monorails.
And I’m always going to give the Disney Monorails 5 stars because they are definitely the most fun way to get around on Disney Property!

Love the convenience of the monorail. Use it when you can. Best and Fastest means of transport in Disney. Plus if you bring the kids, ask to sit up front with the captain. worth the wait. Its a beautiful ride and view…

Do you like history? Pretending to be a time traveler? Then the monorail at Disney is the place for you!
Imagine what it must have been like to be the first people to ride into the future on the monorail, back in 1959. Well, now you can whenever you take the monorail system, because nothing has been changed since it was originally opened in the 1950’s!!!
Seriously, does Disney not make enough money to either update or clean these shaky buses? The doors slam shut, making me think there must be many a broken finger of the kids who ride. The seats are old and worn, making me wonder how many butts these seats have seen before mine. The entire experience is dirty, musty, and unfortunately required of you want to move from Epcot to Magic Kingdom (highly recommend, BTW).
Shape up and get in the game, Disney. It’s 2014, get some cleaner cars.

The Epcot Monorail Station is great because it’s a 5 minute ride over the Disney’s Magic Kingdom. The lines are low and they constantly have monorail trains arriving every 5 minutes which is nice. We like to park at Epcot and hop around to the different parks.

The best (only good*?) Part of Disney. Respect it and ride it regardless of its ineffiencies. and dont demean my reviews by forcing them in as tips (#twss) instead, Unilocal

Great to have monorail access to Epcot. There is an elevator to the top of the station that not many people know about. Ask a cast member and they will tell you where it is. The monorail goes around spaceship earth before stopping at the station.

It’s a monorail station. It’s weird to get into and out of, but it’s the best way to get between EPCOT and MK.

The Epcot Monorail station is cool. The Monorail system can get you to most places in Walt Disney World for free. It’s outside the park. The building is always clean, but may occasionally be full of other people (dependant on peak-​times). (Knowing peak park times will help you decipher when this monorail building will become crowded). Whenever I arrive in the area, I always seem to take this one to and from the Monorail Center at the Ticket and Transportation Center.
I do like seeing the inside of Epcot’s park (especially at night) from the areas inside the monorail’s ride from the TTC (ticket and transportation center).
