Love this place. Food is always good. They remember their regulars which says a lot since they are in the airport. Food is always fresh. I really enjoy their ramen and rolls here.

Great service and fresh sushi! I was immediately greeted by one of the staff members and provided a glass of water along with his recommendations. I went with the spicy tuna crunchy roll and a yellowtail & scallion roll, which isn’t even on their menu. The gentleman who took my order also made my sushi rolls. He continued to check in on me giving me just the right amount of space to eat while feeling attended to.

If you think airport sushi would be about the same as convenience store sushi, you’re so wrong.
I just had dinner here, and it was very good. I had a Calamari salad for $ 5 and it was a big portion of tender Calamari in a tasty dressing. I had a spicy tuna tray for $ 9 and it was excellent.
Fresh, tasty, and generously portioned.
Sure beats McD or Subway.

Airport sushi? AWESOME sushi! Tonkatsu ramen makes a statement with rich broth and fresh vegetables. The manger’s service makes this place! He gave two bottles of water on the house.

Bear in mind this is a review for an airport sushi bar, but make no mistake — this sushi bar is a legit sushi bar. I would be actually happy to eat this food out for dinner, which is more than you can usually say or just about any type of food that any airport restaurant has to offer.
Pretty good fish, relatively reasonably priced, served quickly… More than you can usually hope to ask for! And it’s made to order, too, not just sitting around in those plastic clamshells all day, which means you can eat it and not worry that the salmon is going to be like shoe leather (and about as digestible.)

So what to do when your at the airport and you have a long layover. Try sushi. Okay that’s not what you normally would think but hey I’m telling you to try the sushi.
I got the teriyaki chicken bento box. Now if you know me you know I can eat and after a short/​long flight (I was starving) and the fact that I hadn’t eaten breakfast stopping here was a risk. I mean it’s sushi. It doesn’t always fill you up but I saw the reviews and was like why not. The bento box was really good. The teriyaki chicken was moist and the California roll was fresh. It was really good for airport food. But most important was it was filling. I was stuffed. Nap anyone.

However, the quality of the seafood itself is pretty good, hence the two stars.

I got to the airport way too early for my fight, so decided to find a sit down place to get some dinner. The place has good reviews and looked clean, and for airport sushi it was fine. Have to say I’ve never been brave enough to try airport sushi but Unilocal led me to try it here. Anyway, I ordered the crab cake ans soft shell crab. It came out looking amazing until I realized there wasn’t even a whole crab on my plate. It was just the legs of the soft shell crab sticking out from under a shell-​filled barely edible crab cake. The menu said it was a soft shell crab so I was very disappointed in my menu choice but I tried a piece of a sushi roll too and it was pretty good.

As a business traveler I dine out more than most and this food is consistent without change.

Found this sushi gem in BWI. It’s probably the freshest I have had in a long time since my usual spot in Fairfax, VA. I will definitely be eating here again whenever traveling to BWI.
I had the miso soup, spicy tuna and Philadelphia rolls.

Food (4 Stars) — Good selection sushi was fresh but needed a little kick. I had their most popluar — Triple Delight which was a lot of food for $ 17.99
Ambiance (4 Stars) — 12 bar tops and 4 high tops
Service (4 Stars) — Quick and friendly
Jimmy’s Hacks — Ask for any specials. Where i had an off menu item w shrimp&tuna. Some people early just to eat here.

The thought of «airport sushi» seems ridiculous, but this was absolutely fantastic! Seriously, much better than plenty of sushi restaurants I’ve been to.
I had the Imperial Roll and it was fantastic! Salmon with avocado, topped with more salmon and a delicious sweet and savory combination is eel sauce, spicy chili and wasabi sauce. The flavor was really amazing and I didn’t even. We’d soy sauce or additional wasabi.
I will most certainly eat here again on my next visit to BWI.

Perfect way to enjoy a relaxing and tasty layover in Baltimore airport. Not once but twice the restaurant successful lured me in. I previously visited Gachi a few years ago and completely forgot until I was sitting at the bar, remembering my other peaceful sushi airport experience… In a very similar setting… The sushi chef confirmed this is the only Gachi and that it’s not a chain restaurant. I’m happy to say both experience were excellent and I look forward to flying through Baltimore again.
If you’re unsure what you want or foggy from flying, the chef is more than happy to provide suggestions. He recommended me the Ninomaru roll, super yum and fresh avocado!
I have not tried their sushi in the open cooler, but it’s worth sitting at the bar for quick service!

Awesome! You wouldn’t think you’ll have such a great sushi in an airport! They are very friendly and attentive. The george town rill was delicious. And I got some edamame and spicy miso soup while my sushi was getting prepared.

So I arrive a little early for my flight and decide to pick up something to eat. Unfortunately, the options in the airport terminal are somewhat sparse. When I saw Gachi House of Sushi, I thought that it’s probably healthier than 99% of the other options in the airport and went for it.
I picked up the spicy tuna roll. Unfortunately, I wasn’t a big fan. The tuna was mushy and the rice had no seasoning. It was also a little on the pricier side (if my memory serves me right, I think it was a little under $ 10).
Still, for a quick bite and for something healthy, Gachi’s probably your best option in the area. I suppose you can’t expect too much out of airport food: P

I’ve been to 40 states and lots of airports, so I’ve had my hits and misses with airport sushi. Of all of the jetsetter joints I’ve tasted, Gachi is tops on my list. The BWI roll was good, but the Triple delight was the winner.
Presentation is pretty good too. Because, I was in a rush, I ate half my order and took the rest of it on the plane. All of the passengers were drooling with envy because of their nice packaging, the rolls still looked so fresh and colorful.

Long layover at Baltimore airport and needed some food to take on a long flight, and was feeling a bit chilly, so miso soup was the answer!
Note: I first stopped by the other Gachi in the B terminal, and they had miso soup, but they did not have any bowls… so they wouldn’t sell any. Huh. Thankfully I had time to take a little walk down to the A terminal (much bigger) location.
Took two miso soups to go – (duh) the one I had earlier was hot and tasty with a little bit of seaweed/​tofu, totally hitting the spot. The second one I had was less awesome, but that’s totally on me because I let it sit/​cool off too long.

This place took me by surprise. I had some time before my flight so I sat down for a quick bite. GACHI is directly across from gate A9.
I asked the waiter what the most popular item on the menu was and he suggested the Triple Delight. DING!
The sushi roll came out and it was A-​MAZING! Party in my mouth. It was fresh and the flavors blended together so well. I even debated buying another one. A+

I was really excited to find a highly regarded sushi restaurant on Unilocal when my flight was delayed at BWI. This will likely be my go-​to restaurant when I’m in the airport, and so I really, really wanted to like it.
First, service is rather lacking. It’s slow and inattentive. You have to flag people down every time you want anything. The servers are kind though, and this probably just stems from the fact it’s a busy airport joint.
Second, I ordered the Georgetown Roll… nothing makes me sadder than when the spicy tuna in my sushi roll is pink tuna gunk rather than REAL spiced tuna. :(The peppered tuna on the outside was nothing to write home about either, and could have been more fresh.
Finally, prices are a bit high for the quality and quantity. But again, airport food, so what can you expect?
I’m hoping that I just ordered the wrong thing. Looking forward to visiting again and giving it another shot, this time staying about anything with spicy tuna in it.
