I am a fan of the Moo Shoo Pork here. Hot and Sour Soup is okay but not special. Would both return and recommend.

I just moved to this neighborhood a year ago, and needed a new Chinese restaurant for that occasional once to twice a month fix. This being the closest place to my house made it a natural front-runner — and I have been impressed. They get food out quickly, with good quality. They always pick up the phone. We generally take-out(vs. dine-in or delivery), and the food is done in 10 – 20 minutes. When our palates need a switch-up they offer Thai and Japanese options. We are satisfied customers, and anticipate being so for years to come.

My favorite place for take out sushi. I don’t think I’ve ever ordered anything on the menu and not loved it. They have great customer service, they’re cheap, and the serving sizes are HUGE! I love everything about this place!

My job orders from here weekly because they are very consistent. Good quality, arrives at estimated deliver time, always pleases our taste buds.

Food is okay, but the service is terrible. Took an hour and a half for the food to be delivered. And the driver was rude when I refused to tip him more than $ 2. As he was walking away, he cussed me out and flipped me off. Then he laid on his horn and sped away. Don’t waste your time with these rude, childish people.

This is and has been my go-to place for Chinese food & Thai. Most places that try to do both(and sushi) fail hard but just about everything from this place is yummy. My favorite item is the chicken lettuce wraps and the Thai basil chicken. My kids love the sesame chicken and gobble it all up. I’ve had the drunken noodles and the Mongolian beef. Both were enjoyable. Having said that, the sushi is just meh. I don’t go there for the sushi so I can’t really complain too much. Sometimes when dining in, there’s this one waitress who isn’t great and is always kinda grouchy. But I will continue to eat here just bc I love it and it’s so close.

I recently ordered from American Asian for the first time because it was in close proximity to UMBC and I had a craving for Lo mein. I ordered Wonton soup and Pork Lo Mein. In total it took about 10 minutes to be ready for pick up and cost $ 10. The wonton soup was not as satisfying as I wanted. The broth had very little flavor as well as the noodles, I would not get it again. I did really like the crunchy noodles that came with the wonton soup. The lo mein however hit the spot. It was very flavorful and not too oily. The pork strips were cooked perfectly and it was a nice balance between the noodles and vegetables. It was satisfying enough for me to go back for lunch another day and try more.

When I was young, my family always went to the same restaurant when we felt like Chinese food. When that restaurant closed, I spent years trying to find another restaurant that could compare. When American Asian opened, I knew I had found what I had been looking for. American Asian is my go-to Chinese and Thai food restaurant. Not only is there food prepared perfectly, but also quickly. Whether you are eating in or ordering out, you can’t go wrong with American Asian. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is very low key, but very comfortable. The entire staff is very friendly and prompt. When ordering out, I’ve never waited more than 20 minutes to pick up our food. American Asian also delivers(within a certain distance). I would absolutely recommend American Asian. Whether you are in the mood for sushi, general tsos, or just wonton soup– you cannot go wrong here.

We’ve ate here with my in-laws a few times and the food is not bad. A lot better then most of Chinese places in this area. Everyone was very pleased and very full.

Yeah, this place is pretty good. It’s family owned and they’re genuine. Even though there’s a slight language barrier with some of the workers there, they understood what I ordered. All of us who’re familiar with Chinese food knows that there’s a Crispy Beef but never a Crispy Chicken so I wanted to try it out and see if it’s any good. A Chinese place that has Thai styled foods? Got their soup and wanted an appetizer, dumplings to be precise, so I got the Gyoza. As I ordered my food, I saw a pile of magazines to the side so I got a Travel, Vacation kinda magazine and sat down. As I was about to finish skimming through the magazine, I got my food. I realized that I was supposed to tell em I wanted to eat in before ordering but since I didn’t, they had all my food to go. I asked them if I could stay and eat and they said sure. Sweet. So I tried out the Gyoza first and while that was alright, the Tom Ka Soup was delicious. A little rich in flavor and it was hot. I then had some of the Crispy Chicken and that was delicious. It was just like Crispy Beef except it tasted like Chicken. A hidden gem, located next to a 7 Eleven and is in between some neighborhoods.

Gotta give American Asian their props. They’ve pared down the menu. Basic, cheap and cheerful Chinese-American and Thai-American standards are the rule of the day. Very reasonable prices and hearty portions are standard. And to be fair, the preparation and ingredients are pretty solid, too. My drunken noodles came loaded with plenty of sliced roast pork and perfectly cooked veg. Cashew chicken and veggie egg rolls were pretty much exactly what you’d expect — no surprises. Brown rice is an option with any entrée. The hot and sour soup is both acceptably hot and sour. The wonton soup tastes like scallion, ginger and broth more than MSG and water like some other places. Nice. There’s a page of Japanese-style dishes, including sushi rolls and udon. If you want it. I don’t know if many orders come from that part of the menu, honestly. Pretty much everything we saw come out to tables was on the Chinese/Thai side of things. When there’s a lot of carry-out orders coming in, service can be a bit slow. But once your order is in, food comes quick and hot. The tea’s better, too. The only thing I miss are the little beignets you used to get. The Vietnamese influence has been dropped from the menu. Not that it seems to have hurt them. Highly recommended for nearby UMBC students — tasty stuff, fairly cheap, and leftovers for the dorm fridge and late-night snacking. Plus, they’re open ’til 10PM seven days a week.

Favorite Chinese food place EVER(at least since Double Dragon lost it’s original owners almost a decade ago…)! I usually don’t even get Chinese food when I come here though… this place has a decent menu of Chinese, Thai, AND Japanese items, as well as *decent* sushi(meaning if you’re craving some sashimi and you don’t wanna change out of your yoga pants or drive more than 10 mins to get some). I’m a big fan of their drunken noodles with beef and shrimp pad thai. Their garden rolls are also very fresh. Everyone who works there is super friendly and efficient. The food comes fast, and if you pick up there’s a table with sauces and silverware/chopsticks to help yourself to. Nice to have a decent selection of Asian food close to home.

Just picked up dinner on the way back from the airport and it was outstanding. Nice portions excellent flavor ordered the Pad Thai with chicken & shrimp combination and an order of chicken satay very good. Small restaurant next to the 7-Eleven, nothing fancy, but good-quality food. Don’t be discouraged from the outside of the restaurant.

This is our favorite casual Asian restaurant. They have huge portions for very reasonable prices, and I’ve honestly never had a miss here in years of patronage. I love the wide variety of fresh veggies in the meals, a little above and beyond the typical take-out fare. I’ve always enjoyed the panang curry, the szechuan rice bowl, the thai noodle soup, and the pad thai. I’ve also had a few of the sushi options and they have been good too(Alaska & California rolls).

I order from here once every other week. I really do enjoy pretty much everything I have ordered from there. They usually say 45 minutes on the phone, but have never taken longer than 25 minutes. I would say we have a 95% success rate. Every once in a while, the spicy food will be overly spicy and things are overly saused. Other than that, I suggest them for sure.

DISCLAIMER: If you are looking for genuine Asian food, look elsewhere. Come, as the name of the restaurant suggests, for American[ized] Asian cuisine. This place is as good as it gets in the area for Americanized Asian. The place is aptly named, and shouldn’t be ashamed of it. Out of the dozens of Americanized Asian places I’ve ever been to, American Asian is probably the best one of them all. A small-seeming restaurant with without all the pink drapery and very mellow nonclassical piano music in the background with good service to boot, American Asian breaks the mold of traditional Americanized Asian joints and raises the bar. They have not only Chinese, but also Japanese and Thai options. They even have sushi, the only option that I haven’t tried. As far as the Chinese, Japanese, and Thai options go, they are good, but also cheap, and very generous in portion. This place probably has the cheapest Thai food ever, and I believe it is capable of satisfying almost any quick Thai craving. The Thai Basil is excellent, as is the Thai Pineapple Fried Rice; the latter option is always ordered when I go. Also, the little fried donuts you get at the end are an awesome bonus. If you’re looking for Americanized Chinese food with a kick, I heavily recommend giving this place a try!
