Washatopia Laundromat

I really like this laundromat. They have current equipment and helpful staff. I’ve been a customer for years it seems. You can get all your clothes done in one trip as opposed to one by one at the house. I have noticed the last couple of times I’ve been there that the owners/​mgmt are letting it get a little junky. Maybe the honeymoon is over? The last several times I’ve been there, I’ve seen one employee working and no one cleaning up; there are dryer sheets all over the floor and baskets not in place. The parking area is filthy. Seems like these things are falling through the cracks and it’s just getting worse.

I was having like, the worst day in the world and still needed to get laundry done. I had driven by Washatopia many times and stopped in to get all my laundry taken care of. This place is amazing. The vibe was cool, they have a cute sign that reads «Sorting out life, one load at a time» and it just made me feel like I was in the right place. The ladies behind the counter were real sweet (this was a couple months back before I had a Unilocal account so I don’t remember their names) and got me started on the laundry machines. I had a blast doing my wash there and bumming their FREE wifi! Thanks for existing, Washatopia!

This is the best — never thought a laundromat could warrant a five star review but here it is. Last night I left a negative review after a bad experience at my local laundromat — vowing never to give them my business again, I searched for something better… this is it! Sure, it costs a bit more but I’m sitting here now, it’s pleasantly cool, there are big picture windows that overlook trees, and I’m sipping some free coffee, about to wrap up my weekly wash. I’ll never go anywhere else again.

This is by far the cleanest laundry mat I’ve been to. Actually that means nothing as I don’t normally use them. :)
However this one is very clean and well managed. The huge washers are perfect for that gigantic comforter or rug that needs washing.
They offer some supplies and have clean restrooms.

This laundromat is super clean, very clear about hours.
Equipment seemed in great working order, no «out of order» signs on anything.
Well stocked with detergent and sheets. Self-​serve in a vending machine so you don’t have to bother an attendant,
Must get the card for equipment and vending machines here. No big deal, just a buck and is refundable, from what I see on info provided by the store.
No weekend laundry service. That was kind of lame, but this place was so quick, easy, and clean, 5 starts.
I didn’t have to talk to anybody, just did my stuff and split. THAT I like.

We have frequented a few laundromats in the last few years for various reasons and this one is by far the absolute best one we’ve ever seen.
First off it’s clean, which you’d think would be a given for a place meant to clean your clothes but unfortunately it’s really not.
Second they are very accommodating, it has a kids corner that has books, a chalk board (no chalk but that stuff disappears quickly), a little house, kitchen with fake food, my toddler was playing and making me fake food while I did my laundry, very helpful. We also brought a kindle for him because hello FREE WIFI, but didn’t end up needing it, because he was having fun just running around and playing with the toys there (and a few we brought with us).
Now, the washers/​dryers are coinless which I personally love, I hate having to bring a bunch of change and keep track at most places, here they have a little prepaid card you load up and go. Cost was reasonable, too, we washed all our clothes (family of four week and a half worth of clothes, towels, blankets, ect) in two washers and two dryers, apparently that’s 12 loads worth (although when I do laundry at home it’s more like 6 loads worth maybe my washer fits 2 «loads») the washers took half an hour and the dryers took about 45 minutes, we spent about $ 25 total, and we were there about 3 hours including folding and packing up two kids under 3, that’s a success in my book, and no meltdowns because they were entertained. We will be back for sure.
Also shout out to attendant Michelle who was very helpful as soon as I got there, explained the prepaid card system and even gave me a hint on the dryers, the amount you can fit in the 6 load washers is about the amount you want to put in the dryers for best results. She was obviously busy folding clothes (because they have that service available, too) but she didn’t seem bothered at all to stop what she was doing and help me even before I asked. Two thumbs up!

I’ve been coming here for years and it always stays the same. This place is awesome! All of the attendants are super helpful and the place is always clean! I will never go anywhere else.

Their own employees park in the designated handicap spaces allegedly to load and unload laundry and other deliveries and expect handicap customer to come in and ask the to move their non handicap designated cars to accommodate them. Mind you the have have a designated no parking space in front of the door they could use for such a brief purpose; but seem to prefer the handicap space instead. The manager even said the police department said it’s fine because it’s private property, just so long as they watch and move their cars if necessary. Really??? Also, when I was talking to the manager about what I had witnessed during the day when she wasn’t there regarding a certain male employee; rather than let the manager deal with it, said employee butts in and tells me I can take my business elsewhere.
I let go the previous bad experience as a one off, when I came in started laundry, then went to add more money to the card only to find out the machine was down. Cash only. I understand machines go down; but you could put a note on the door or let customers know verbally when they come in. I had to leave to get cash and when I suggested they put a note on the door, they ignored the suggestion. Again, we understand machines go down; but how much time and effort does it take to put a note on the door. It saves the customers being inconvenienced and the business from having upset customers.
In the end the management and employees are a serious detraction to this place!
Addendum: After reading the response and regarding the male in question. I think it is understandable to get the impression he was an employee there, as he was there much of the day, in the stock or supply room with another employee, and stocking the vending machine. If provided with the company which that male works for I would welcome the opportunity to contact them to discuss their employee with them assuming he works for a third party, a vending company or such and isn’t just a friend of an employee there helping out.

Honestly and literally the worst customer service experience I have ever had. The credit card machine was down with no sign so I had no idea. I had enough money on my card for one load so I started it and went to reload my card. That’s when I found out I couldn’t. The crabby unpleasant women who works here wouldn’t refund my money or unlock the machine so I could get my clothes back. Because she was having a bad day she stole my money and held my clothes hostage. DO NOT COME HERE TO DO YOUR LAUNDRY. They will steal your money and your time.

Great neighborhood washing service. I would LOVE if they would actually call when the clothes are done drying. Other than that, super clean, nice open space and not crowded during the week.

Me and my wife just moved into an apartment and didn’t have a washer and dryer! My wife looked up this place on Unilocal and said lets try this out. I’m so glad she found this place. Apparently we looked like lost puppies when we first walked in but the attendant on duty was super nice and explained everything we needed to know!
It is a spacious room with lots of washers and lots of dryers! The prices were really reasonable considering how big the washers and dryers are! I loved that they have free wi-​fi! It made time go by faster while waiting for my clothes to dry! I was super impressed with this place! I will definitely be coming back!

I have these large comforters that I can’t wash at home so off to a laundromat I must go. I have passed by here many times and have often told myself that I need to check this place out next time my comforters need washed. I’m impressed with this place. It is clean and well maintained by the on duty attendant. It is also coinless. Get your money card at one of the two VTM machines over by the vending.
I stopped in today. It wasn’t that busy and there was some nice eye candy doing their laundry. That is always a plus. I enjoy eye raping nice eye candy. Especially if I don’t get caught. It makes the wait go by faster. This place has six top loaders, 30+ side loaders and 42 dryers! Dango! Clean and spaciouswith two huge ceiling fans keeping it circulated.
The vending machines have snacks and laundry needs offering both liquid and powder. The WiFi is free, coffee is complimentary, there are two large screen tvs and a kids corner with a chalk board and a thingamabob. You can drop your stuff off and they will wash and dry for you, or you can throw your stuff in the washer and leave. They will dry, fold, and store it for you! WiFi code is Cleanandcool.

A grwat place to get your laundry done. Inexpensive, clean and never too busy that you have to wait.

I feel like there are some signs missing. It’s not clear how to operate the machines, like what kind of cards to use or how to add time. Also the base fee for drying is $ 1 and it didn’t dry my clothes at all. I’ve been to a few laundry mats where drying was much cheaper and the base time actually dries your clothes without adding time. But aside from that the place is clean and the girl working there was helpful.

Really nice and clean unlike MANY other places, it’s not a sauna in here either. .parking lot could be a bit bigger but other than that… all monies is done by a card so no having to lug a bag of quarters

I’ve been to a few other laundromats in the area and they were all super sketchy and gross and finally someone told me about this place.
It’s clean and the people who work there are very nice.
The machines are pretty fast and are all new.
The reusable wash cards are very convenient because who carries quarters anymore?!
They also have tv’s.
Overall great place!

This place is much better than other laundry spots.
But– on our first time using it this week… they were taking cash only. I hope their credit card readers are back up because this was a huge hassle. At the end of a long work day we hauled our heavy clothes in, loaded them in machines then had leave and run to two different places to try to find cash. ugh.
Maybe a sign on the door would have helped a little…

I’m pretty well pleased with this place. It’s not cheap, but the machines are fantastic and the facility is so clean you could almost eat off the floor (but please don’t).
I have my own washer and dryers but I love to come to this place when I have a ton of loads with little time or oversized items like towels and comforters. There’s always a place to sit and thanks to the free Wifi I busted through a few episodes of StarWars Clone Wars series while my comforters were drying.
The attendents were pleasant and no one hassled me about my well behaved service dog. Gotta love that they have a virtual atm where you load up credit on your washatopia card, because who uses cash much these days?
There is a vending machine if supplies, but bring your own to save some moolah. Large tables so everyone can share. I like to come Sunday evening when it’s not very busy. Something about this place feels really peaceful.

This places is crazy awesome to do laundry. But, «shhhh, don’t tell!»
All sized washers and dryers from 1 load to like, 10? You can easily fit an adult inside the largest machine. Their prices are affordable and you easily place credit on a wash card that is reusable and worth the $ 2 deposit they require. The place is always staffed, always cleaned and generally, about empty to moderately busy. Bathroom is available and clean. Snack machines are nicely stocked and you can also buy laundry supplies from vending. The place is clean and spacious overall, equipped with flat screens and free WIFI.
And lastly, they serve free gourmet coffee that is delicious and worth stopping in for, even if you don’t need to do laundry.
The best part is the free coffee.
Any cons? Well, there are often moms with kids here. But if u get up nice and early and arrive at opening, it’s blissful laundry time.
And finally, I can finish my laundry in less than an hour. I always leave wishing I had been able to spend more time there, which always had me coming back for more laundry next week.

There were years and years and years that I spent without a washer/​dryer unit in my home… I would say nearly 10 years. During this time I frequented many Laundromats. This one is the best by far.
