DO NOT COME HERE. At the VERY LEAST do NOT get your eyebrows waxed here. If this is a tl;dr for you PLEASE LOOK AT PICS.
I have been meaning to write my first Unilocal review for ages but something always comes up or I convince myself an action wasn’t as egregious as it originally sounded but this is TOO MUCH.
I came here on Dec 18.
Very important info:
I was spending my first Christmas ever with my boyfriend of 4.5 years’ family on Dec. 19 during the day, Christmas with my family during the evening/​night of the 19^th and leaving for Vegas Dec 22 to get engaged.
This was a very important eyebrow wax and I settled on this place because my first two girls (two different places) were out.
Big mistake. HUGE.
I walk in and it’s your typical strip mall salon. Three people up front. I say I need a brow wax and am escorted back promptly. The lady seems nice enough but keeps waxing when I say «thick, thick!!» … more waxing and more waxing. Ugh. Suddenly she says «oops» and half runs out of the room and comes back with what I later found out was alcohol. She presses it on my lids and I can’t help it: SH! T I said, ouch!
I rub hand/​finger on my lid and when I look at it my finger is covered in smeared blood. «You ripped my skin off!»
All she did was repeat herself: «I didn’t do anything!» over and over again. «Okay, whatever… «I was in literal shock. She asks if she can tweeze. (Uh, NO!) I get down and walk out and must be the dumbest person ever because she said «$ 10 today sweetie» and I stopped and paid AND tipped $ 2… (remember I was in shock.) The other two people, a male and female, were staring at me with mouths kind of agape and I shot them a look like «don’t stare at me.»
Stupidly I didn’t get her name but I know she doesn’t work on Sundays, at least that’s what she told me.
Never again. Beware. In 15 years of getting my brows waxed or threaded this has never happened to me and no I am not on any acne medication.

I’ve gone to the salon quite a few times due to the prices, how close it is to where I live and the quality of work done.
The salon is decent but the customer service seems to be on the low end. The last time I went I brought 2 new customers with me and pre-​booked an appointment for all 3 of us to get pedicures. I made a point of asking that there will be 3 people available so we can get in and out the same time which they said yes.
I ended up waiting more than 30 minutes for them to start on me while I watched my friends get theirs done. I mentioned the wait and one of the staff members just seemed annoyed that I said anything then it seemed like her and another employee were talking about it annoyed in another language.
To make matters worse, this was something done in the event of my birthday. I probably won’t go back.

A guy did my nails, and they look absolutely horrible. My nails are messy and are not looking like what they are supposed to be like. The manicure LED light didn’t work well for me. When he thinks is all done, I have stretch my jean, red polish on my jeans. I won’t recommend you to do your nails with a guy!!!

I visited the salon just for the Shellac polish without mani. Auce made a perfect cover for me! She was very accurate and fast, that is very important for me. The staf is very kind and helpful

The people and the overall service was good. But when it came down to painting my nails not so good :(

Got toe infection from cutting the cutting of the nail. I WON’T return. They were not friendly, acted put out by my being there throughout the service.

I like this place, nice and clean, everyone there alway do very job„ love the way they design for the nails look very nice…

Came here for my birthday and the ladies didn’t even acknowledge that we had made a reservation. They were not accommodating or very friendly. Massage was not good, when I was getting a manicure the girl cutting my cuticles clipped my skin and when I pulled my hand away, she brashly said I didn’t cut you… However she did and it was bleeding. She was rude and pretty much made me never want to go back or recommend this place. One week later and it’s still not healed. Did I mention it was for my birthday with friends?

Oh M Gee! I will never go anywhere else again. They are the best, Vicki is the best! Clean, fast, my nails have looked great right after all the way to my fill, great shape and and amazing! I’m a picky chick

I’ve been here 8 times. It’s an ok salon in a convenient location but inconsistent. And I won’t return again. This time she did a terrible job and rushed the entire time. None of my nails are the same length or shape. 4 of my nails were damaged by filing the top of the nail and from her rushing to clip them in one clip. I waited for 30 min for this experience and paid full price. But I didn’t get the full experience. It was nearly $ 60, for a gel mani and standard pedi. My advice, don’t bother coming here when they’re busy if you want a quality, relaxing mani pedi.

I’ve been looking for a nail shop who does pointy nails the way I like, narrow and super pointy. I showed Janie a pic of what I wanted it she did it perfectly. I won’t go anywhere else now. It’s very clean and cute, I don’t usually chit chat and she didn’t seem to mind, next time I’ll get a pedicure and see if that’s as good as my pointy nails !

This is my first time here and I am very pleased! The staff is very friendly and do a great job! The prices are pretty great too! This is the best manicure I have ever had!

Just moved to the area and found this place on Unilocal.I’m not sure if who I got was new or not but the appointment took over an hour and a half for an acrylic fill with gel polish and the day after all of the polish started chipping. I’ve had acrylics with gel for almost two years now and this has never been an issue. I won’t be back.

Why did Sammie have to leave? This place has gone down hill and they have lost my business altogether. When Sammie and her husband were there my husband and I used to get out pedicures together. I went regularly and even got my mother to go. I loved this place!
For almost two years now I have been getting Shellac gel on my nails. I love how long it last. I usually only have to get my nails done once a month. The removal process involves soaking by wrapping them in foil with a acetone soaked cotton ball on the nail bed for 10 – 15 minutes.
Well this week, after a 40 minutes wait, the male manicurist (I do not know his name) started to file the polish off my nails. I asked that he not do this because that would leave my nails thin and weak and that I preferred the soaking method. He said it would take too long to soak. I told him I was ok with how long it took and reiterated that it was my preference because I did not want my nails to get weak. He said OK fine someone else could do my nails. Huh?
He said some something in his language (I do not want to assume it was Vietnamese, but that is my guess). They both began to laugh. This was nothing like the Seinfeld episode because it could not have been more clear that this was about my not wanting him to file my nails and having the audacity to ask for my preference. Clear context clues. It was rude. I just left and went somewhere else. The did my nails the way I expected without me even having to ask.
Long story short. We won’t be back!

C & K Nails service is quite professional. This place’s equipped with modern, convenient and hygienic tools to contribute perfect results. The staffs are also quite good! They really take the time and concentrate in their work to make sure our nails look fabulous. I like how detail they worked and converse with customers. The price is competitive too compare to other salon around here…

As a new transplant from LA, I was hard pressed to find a nail salon I liked in Austin. I was hunting around for several months and every place I went to was mediocre and overpriced. C & K is the only nail salon in Austin that I have returned to. They are very clean, professional, and friendly. They have a nice selection of both regular polish and shellacs. They don’t pressure you to do extra or more expensive services. I have zero complaints about any of my visits there! I will definitely be here twice a month.

I’ve been here multiple times due to the great customer service! one of the times i was blown away, i came in to get my pedicure, manicure (a certain way because of my brothers royal blue and silver wedding i was gonna be in) i picked out what i wanted and eyebrows done. One lady had done every thing for me! She was patient, took her time and held a conversation unlike some places these days hehe. Anyway she did a fabulous job which of course i gave her a big fat tip! And i went there yesterday to get my nails done for early valentines and again great customer service! I’ll always come here for my mani and pedi, waxing needs. :)

This place is defenitely my go to nail place near home. The manicure and pedicure experience has been great for my last several visits.
The ladies that work here are extremely friendly and pleasant to tall with. They make me feel really welcome and there haven’t been any mistakes made on my nails.
This place has the LONGEST lasting shellac I’ve ever used. It will not peel off until around day 16 or 17 and that’s about when I need them redone anyway.
The pedicures are relaxing and the chairs super comfortable. Fast WiFi!

So I came here again cause I raved about how awesome it was last time well I cursed myself cause it was bad the last visit. I just come to realize that every nail place takes all night and day to complete a mani and pedi.
I got gel nails and they are still holding up almost two weeks now, however my toes is another thing I had to go back cause the the nail polish they used seem to be defective or something since once it dried it looks like a 5 year old painted nails I went back to get it corrected and they did fix it. However two days letter I notice my cuticles were not cleaned correctly or fully and my feet didn’t have the glow they normally have after a
Pedi…
So bottom line I guess you just have to put up with it, most nail places take forever and it’s rare if you can get out in less than an hour. It took almost three for them to finally get it right. If I come back here next time it will just be for gel nails, and pedi elsewhere.
Lisa came up to me and said next time you get your nails to get then done correctly just ask for the lady you want, and I said why should I have to ask for someone shouldn’t they all be trained to do a good job smh if not them why are they working there.
Oh well =(

I’ve been back several times since my first review and it seems my initial slightly off-​putting experiences were a one time thing. I’ve been nothing but happy with all my visits. The girl who does my acrylics remembers me every time and makes sure to do my nails and they’ve started doing a break down of exactly what they’re charging you instead of just throwing some unknown number out there. She even checked before she added a design and told me it would be an extra $ 5 and made sure I was okay with it. awesome! The prices are really, really reasonable-​totally worth upgrading to a higher pedicure. One thing I will say is they do a good job and take their time, don’t stop in if you’re in a rush.
The one thing I do wish is that they served wine or mimosas, but being in Williamson County I’m not sure what the laws are so maybe they can’t? Regardless-​loyal customer here.
