Vosco Moving

When I decided to move I contacted Vosco Moving and I will tell you that were FANTASTIC! I have moved several times over the years and they were the best moving company that I have used.
They were on time, and my move from a 2^nd floor apartment to a 3^rd floor apartment, with a drive from East Austin to West Austin took less than 2 ½ hours total! If you are looking for a great moving company that cares about their customers Vosco Moving is your company!

Jose and Allen were very professional and personable! The price was reasonable and I didn’t have to stress about whether friends would show up or not. I had a bad experience with movers when I came from Arizona so I am generally gun shy about hiring people to help me. They showed up 15 minutes early and kicked butt! Not a single scratch or break! Thanks Guys!

I’ve used many moving services over the years. Vosco was slightly below average for a an all-​inclusive moving company (they provide both movers and the truck). Vosco movers did not adequately protect furniture and I ended up with several scuffs and broken pieces. The movers actually hid some of these things so I did not find them until later. Brian (one of the new owners) came to look at the damage and said he would «follow up» but I never heard back.
My best moving experiences have been with renting a truck from UHaul and hiring workers through the «moving help» feature on their site. The UHaul trucks have ramps which mean that the load/​unload goes MUCH faster. Moving the exact same amount (1 BR apt) cost TWICE as much with Vosco as it did when I rented a UHaul and a couple freelance movers. This last move was a 5 mile move for a 1 bedroom apartment – around $ 900 with Vosco.
Ironically, when I used free-​lance movers, they took much better care of my stuff. This is the last time I’ll use any moving company. For the record, I’ve used about 5 different moving companies, and I’ve used UHaul + their moving help about 5 times. I’m sticking with UHaul and their movers going forward. The reason I chose Vosco this time was because I did not want to go pick up the UHaul and then have to drop it off. Big mistake on my part – both in terms of cost of the move and cost to repair/​fix broken furniture.

We used Vosco because of my boyfriend’s previous good experience with them and experiences some friends of his had had. So this was despite the not so stellar reviews on here. I was a little concerned but willing to give them a try. Bad decision.
I’ll give Vosco one star for being great to work with on scheduling and showing up right on time. After that, it all went down hill.
We moved from a 2000 square foot house plus a small storage unit, so we had a lot of stuff. The crew worked fast… Very fast… To the point that I think they got really careless. As a result they broke a glass pane from a coffee table, smashed a corner on what was a beautiful and flawless formal dining table, scratched up multiple pieces of furniture, put a couple deep scratches into the hardwood floors, broke a birdbath stand, and scraped walls. This is all in a newly built home that we have owned for only three days. As I unpack, I suspect I will find more damage at this rate.
Bottom line? It’s a good thing we don’t plan on moving again for an extremely long time. But if we do, I can guarantee we will NOT use Vosco. Extremely disappointed and also a little heartbroken over some of the damage they caused.

I have used Vosco Moving twice now. Once in 2011 to move to Austin from New Braunfels. And again, recently, from Austin to my home in Leander. Both times the guys were personable, and took great care in my belongings and did a great job.
Anytime I know someone is moving, I recommend Vosco to them. Now that I own a home, I hope to never move again. But if I had to, Id be using Vosco again.

Vosco just gave us the best and least-​stressful move ever!
I am in the apartment management industry, so I have experience with a LOT of movers. Kaleb (owner)/Vosco had made a positive impression on me in our building from day one. Every employee I met of his was professional and courteous, and did not come across as lazy. Over the last year, Vosco did many moves for our building’s residents, and all had good things to report about their moves. This contrasted DRASTICALLY with my personal experience just a year ago with Two Men & a Truck (worst, longest, most expensive move EVER; with zero response from the owner or the company when I called to complain), so we chose Vosco this time in hopes of having a better experience.
We received a quote before hand, and it was simple and straight-​forward, no hidden fees.
We have never hired packers before, but with a baby on the way… it was the thing to do! KALEB sent two men over at the promised time and date, and they TORE through our apartment, packing the kitchen, both bathrooms, and all closets in just three hours (if you saw our kitchen, packed with every small appliance/​gadget/​crystal/​etc known to man, you’d be shocked). If would have taken us a full day to do this.
The following day was the move. The same two men, plus one more, showed up at the promised time, and zoomed through the apartment and the two-​car garage. They started at 9 am, and finished unloading at our new two-​story home 9 miles away by 1:30 pm. That’s just 4.5 hours! Our last move (Two Men & a Truck) was only 1 mile away, and took twice as long (not to mention cost twice as much as they had bid me)!
The final tally was far less than we expected, and again, there were no hidden fees or additions. We gave the guys some HEFTY tips, which they worked their butts off for, and started unpacking with the whole afternoon ahead of us.
Needless to say, if you’re looking for a good mover, I’d recommend calling Vosco!

Would definitely not recommend Vosco Moving. I had a horrible experience. To begin, I specifically asked if they combined moves. They assured me that yes, my belongings would be the only ones in the truck. WRONG! They arrived with a truck already half full. They then began to realize that my belongings would not fit. DUH!!!
They proceeded to cram my items in, but finally did have to call for another truck. Then, we were supposed to meet at the final destination in two days. They ended up calling a day early and said they would be in at 8pm and had to unload. Apparently one of the drivers quit along the route. Long story short. They proceeded to unload and throw the items down as quickly as possible. Several items were damaged. When I called to report, I was told to file a claim. I have filed a claim, with supporting receipts and estimates multiple times. I was told they didn’t receive it, lost it, and just needed to update their records again. As of today, over a year later, and after filing with the BBB, my claim is still unresolved. DO NOT USE this company if you actually value your belongings!

Tim and Kevin did a PHENOMENAL job packing us up in a flash and moving a 3 bed/​2 bath house in less than 8 hours. They had to go up two stories of stairs with super heavy furmiture and boxes, and they never inde complained. They were punctual, polite, worked entire time, never goofed off, and treated our things with care. We HIGHLY recommend Vosco Moving!!! Best price we found and best service, too! Win-​win situation!!!

I regret using Vosco Moving. They seem super nice and professional on the phone but that is not the service they provide. I wish I would have waited one day and used Unicorn Moving again. They were booked and I wanted to get moved so I decided to go with Vosco. Vosco ruined several expensive frames on pieces of art. I asked if I needed to bubble wrap them and they said, «No, we’ll wrap them with blankets». When I noticed that they were carrying several at a time, unblanketed, I told them to stop and I moved the rest of them. The ones they carried are scratched and dented. When I went to file a insurance claim, I was told I would get a little under $ 7 back b/​c I didn’t ask for their insurance. They were more expensive, less professional, and damaged more pieces (Unicorn = No Damages!) than my previous moves — insert super sad face.

I had a very easy move scheduled. 1 story house to another 1 story house. They called and said they would be 15 minutes late, no problem except I arrived 30 minutes early anticipating their arrival. Regardless. They moved everything with care and quickness. The price was fair. The movers were friendly and did a good job.

Scheduling was easy enough, my initial appointment was for a 9AM move last Saturday. They called me a day or two before to ask if they could reschedule it to noon or one, because they had apparently double-​booked. This is the only issue I had with Vosco.
The movers ended up arriving slightly before my revised time of noon, so that was nice. The guys were both friendly and professional, and after a brief bit of paperwork, they immediately started loading up the truck. The move was a two-​bedroom townhouse, they completed it in under two hours (granted I was moving just around the corner). Overall I’m satisfied and would use Vosco again.

We used Vosco to move our office. They were punctual, professional, and friendly. I am a Real Estate Broker and have referred them to several clients needing to move, all of whom have been satisfied when I followed up with them. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to move locally or long distance, commercial or residential!

I used Vosco to move from a 6BR house to 3BR apartment a few weeks ago. I arranged the move with them several weeks prior and had to change once and it was no problem. I sent a list of stuff we had. They sent four movers and a truck larger than I thought we needed. Turns out they were right, we filled the truck up completely.
The movers were the most friendly, polite crew I’ve ever met and we had absolutely no problems. I had them come back a few days later and move some appliances to a different place and again without any issues.
I hope I don’t have to move anytime soon but if I do they will be at the top of my list! Highly recommended!!!

So I have to say I’m not as impressed with these guys as I was last time. This go round I was moving in the same complex just two buildings away. My movers, as always, are SUPER friendly, but here’s the issues I had:
1. They were supposed to arrive at 900, but arrived at 930 because one of them was having car issues. Not too big a deal, but I was also called the night before by the manager to see if he could move my 9 am to an afternoon move. Then when I called back 15 mins later willing to be nice and do so I was met with a, «You didn’t call back soon enough». Uh… sorry?
2. Again, the men got here at 930, but wanted to scope out my new apt, reposition the truck, and kind of lolly gag and chat as to if they wanted to use the truck or just walk my stuff to my new place for 20 minutes before they started moving my stuff. I was charged for them starting at 930, but they really started moving at 950.
3. When they first began moving my things they started talking about them – I have VHS and it took them back to yester year, I guess. Then, on and off, they’d stop moving my stuff and just randomly start chatting with me. I’m completely a chatty and love to talk, but not when you wasted 20 minutes and I’m paying you $ 85 an hour.
4. The last movers I had were amazing. They were like machines and were tireless. They moved my apt from San Marcos to Austin (INCLUDING drive time) in 2 hours. The guys this time, like I’ve already stated, kind of lolly gagged and moved me in 2 hours to an apartment IN THE SAME COMPLEX two buildings away.
I’m giving 3 stars this go round: one for each of my movers because they were genuinely cool people, and one for the fact that they put my bed frame together and didn’t charge me for it. I love you, Vosco, but you kind of screwed me this time.

I put off booking a mover until the last minute on a weekend in August in Austin Bad idea. After calling about 20 places that were booked up, Vosco added a slot for me. I had to pay a little extra for booking so late, but everything worked out well and they billed the same number of hours as my last move did. Three hours for a one bedroom move feels high to me, but I guess it’s about right unless I got screwed the last time as well…
Would book again.

Excellent responsiveness. They had the best service of any company that submitted a bid for us. Their full service bid was cheaper than any pod moving company too. They were fast, courteous, and safe. Best of all, they were quite flexible with dates as our home closing shifted several times.

I highly recommend Vosco movers — as a native Austinite returning from an 1,860 mile relocation from Montana, these guys made my readjustment to the big city hassle free. My movers were dependable, professional, efficient, and with great attitudes accompanying the hard work. Prices are reasonable and when your move is complete, how can you resist a solid tip for all the fun you have had in the process? Thank you to the four movers that have moved me now twice in the area. Kaleb (co-​founder) is superbly prompt over the phone in making your request an important priority. Mr. Coleman makes your call/​processing convenient for your own day and time. Most incredibly, these folks really work any day of the week. Thank You!

Wow, incredible service. I have moved 4 times in 4 years and the last 3 movers left something to be desired.
I just moved this past weekend and was lucky enough to get ahold of Vosco. In my last move before this one the move was scheduled on a Saturday at 8 a.m. The company called 3 times saying the truck would be an hour late but would come. After 12 noon I stopped received any calls and they never showed so I had to pay a lot more money to get same day service.
With Vosco they set me up with an appointment on a Tuesday at 9 a.m. I got a nice clean email with our arrangement and all prices etc listed.
They did not charge for stairs, drive time to myself, flat rate and flat gas rate. No other charges.
On the Saturday before my move I ended up getting my keys 3 days early. I called Vosco at 4 p. m on Saturday and asked if there was any way if they could come the next day Sunday morning. Much to my surprise they said they would but it would be around noon to 1 p. m b/​c they were squeezing me in. NO EXTRA CHARGE FOR LESS THAN 24 HOUR NOTICE.
On the Sunday they ended up being a little past noon so they called at 11:08 a. m which I was very happy with.
Two workers showed up, worked 5 hours and I was blown away by how hard they worked. They did not stop for any breaks and just worked to try to get it done asap. I was so shocked as how cheap everything was but yet how efficient everything was that I tipped the two guys $ 100, something I would never have done if it was not so well done.
