Titan ATX

Unfortunately our experience with Chris Chenoweth Owner of Titan ATX was very bad. He seemed not to be honest and straight forward with us. He came to our house to assess the job. After he went through all the work that needs to be done he committed a time to provide us with the cost and an confirmation of the approximate starting time of the project. He never got back to us with a quotation so we called him at which time he told us that he lost his helper and the start of the project may push out one week. We accepted the delay and agreed. Again Chris failed on his commitment to email us a quotation by end of that day. Chris never sent a quotation, neither did we hear back from him.
Seems like Chris, picks and chooses his projects and if he doesn’t like one, rather than tell you immediately he will drag you on and on causing his customer to lose time. In our case we lost an entire week as a result of his unacceptable customer service skills.
His technical skills as reflected on Unilocal seemed to be pretty good and this was the reason we contacted him however, keep in mind that there is a good chance Chris will not follow on his commitments and will leave you high and dry.

The hose on my refrigerator’s water dispenser was cracked. I called Titan and they had space for me the next day, so we were off to a good start.
On appt. day, Chris called to let me know he would arrive soon. He walked in the door, assessed the hose and got to work fixing it.
That problem solved, I asked him about a problem I was having with two other appliances. He showed me how to fix one, and got to work fixing the other.
One hour later, three problems solved and I’m in a good mood because my stuff works.
Chris’ hourly rates were very reasonable. I’d definitely call Titan again.

Had a list of things to do/​fix which were done right and quickly. Scheduling was easy, and Chris was on time. Professional, polite, fast, and will call them again. Highly recommend. So glad to find a reliable handyman!

Chris was great to work with. He schedules a time and then is there when he committed. He is fair with his pricing, knowledgeable about appliances and pleasant to work with. Although the exact problem with our microwave was never definitely determined Chris did get it working again after his visits. It may have just been a misaligned door switch that was corrected after his disassembly of the microwave or maybe Chris just has magic hands.

Our front-​load washing machine stopped draining over the weekend.
I contacted TitanATX using their website form, received a quick response, and setup an appointment.
Chris arrived on time, was professional, polite and knowledgable.
He was able to find and fix the problem right away.

Installed my OTR Microwave as promised, on time, as quoted. Friendly service, easy scheduling, quick turnaround. Even went the extra mile fixing duct work in the attic.

Titan ATX did a terrific job on our dryer. They responded quickly and did the work well at a good price. We were pleased with their work and recommend them.

Our refrigerator’s ice maker quit working last Thursday, and after changing the water filter and tinkering with the system Friday morning, I called Titan around 2 pm based on positive Unilocal reviews. I was not expecting anybody to be available until this week, but Chris told me he likely could make it to our place in western Travis County by 5 pm. And he did. He diagnosed the problem (ice making unit), ordered it, and told me he thought he could bring it the next day, Saturday. Darned if he didn’t show around 4:30 pm Saturday with the new part, and have it installed and working in 20 minutes. Part was $ 125, total was just over $ 200; extremely reasonable considering distance and two trips. I’ll definitely be calling Titan for our next repair issue!

I’d recommend them without reservation! They installed a few exterior doors for me and the results are fantastic. They were respectful, courteous, fair, and reliable. Seriously, look no further — these are your guys! I couldn’t have been happier with my experience with Titan and I would absolutely use them again. I am not surprised they’ve received such great reviews from other customers. I recommend them highly!

My experience with TitanATX was both courteous and professional. I am giving them only 3 stars because unfortunately after two visits they were unable to pinpoint or resolve the problem with my dishwasher.
In late April I contacted TitanATX to see if they could come diagnose what was causing our dishwasher to have a small leak at the base of the unit. I emphasized that I wanted the cheapest solution that would fix the problem as we were in the process of selling our house.
When the technician arrived, he spent about an hour looking over the unit and it seemed to me was very thorough in looking for potential causes. Ultimately he determined that a low-​hanging hose from the unit to the disposal was the culprit. He re-​fed the hose correctly and charged us $ 80 for a diagnostic fee. A great deal for a small fix to our washer.
After a few days, however, we noticed that the dishwasher was still leaking in the same manner, so we called Titan ATX and they came back out to give it a second look at no charge. After another hour-​or-​so he determined that it was a failing seal in the crack of the door that was causing small amounts of water to collect. This seemed a little suspect to me but two hours of experienced eyes versus mine were good enough.
Unfortunately a few days later, water continued to assemble in small amounts at the base of the dishwasher. So, I finally just removed the bottom panel and watched a few full loads from start to finish, and noticed that the pump was leaking in a very noticeable, very distinct fashion at virtually the exact same time in the washing sequence on every wash.
I have attempted to call TitanATX back several times this week to reschedule service and either repair or replace the pump but can no longer get a return call. We are all the way up in Leander and I realize this is their busy season, as many folks are getting their A/​C repaired, but I feel like the diagnostic fee should have at least included a proper diagnosis.
Having discovered the actual problem myself I was now left with finding another vendor just days before we are scheduled to close on the house to complete the repair. Fortunately for us the motor assembly was a common enough part that it did not require being ordered to fix.
Again, Titan ATX was both prompt and courteous to work with, and were very professional. They were also nice enough to come out to Leander a second time at no charge to attempt to fix the problem. I am giving them three stars because they did not fix it and stopped returning my calls.
TL DR: Professional and courteous customer service; was unable to diagnose my dishwasher’s problem in two trips.

It’s not a wonder that everyone has given Titan 5 stars thusfar. I had a GREAT experience with them. Chris was able to attend to my microwave and washer on the same day, and he was very decisive about fixing the issue. His estimate of the expense was right on track with what it came out to be. He called me back timely after the part I needed came in. I would definitely recommend him to my friends, and if I have any issues in the future, I will use his services again!

As good as it gets when you have an appliance problem. Good communication, arrived on time and worked through a simple, but hard-​to-​locate, problem with a dishwasher. Very reasonable charge. I recommend Chris without reservation

Chris and his team are fantastic guys! We’ve called them out to our house a half dozen times, and plan on many more visits. They can tear down, rebuild, and fix basically anything you throw at them. Respectful, tidy, easy to schedule. Beyond reasonable prices for the hard work they do. Highly recommend!

i had a spare refrigerator rack on top of the dryer that fell behind it and took out the dryer vent tube, nathan not only fixed it in less than 10 min. but he was also able to fit in the tiny space between the closet and the stackable unit. AMAZING SUPERPOWERS, charged me a very reasonable rate, and is totally trustworthy!!! :)

Nathan did an excellent job installing some floating bookshelves for me. I needed same day service and he was immediately available and did a great job of assembling and installing the shelves. He was very courteous and performed his job very thoroughly. I would highly recommend Nathan and Titan ATX and plan on using their services again in the future!

I needed someone to reassemble/​repair my Whirlpool top loading washer I had damaged when retrieving a lost item from it. I called multiple well Unilocal ranked repair folks but most could not get to it in the same day or did not cover my area. Nathan was quick to respond to my call and stopped at Home Depot to get a part and was at my house in about 1 ½ hours. He clearly knew what he was doing and disassembled the washer, repaired the damage I did to the outer shell and had it back together and working in less than an hour. He charged me a fair rate and made sure the unit was working fine before he left.
I highly recommend Nathan and the Titan ATX team.

Chris did a wonderful job installing my new dishwasher in an old house, which required some adjustments/​modifications. He quickly assessed the situation, got to work, and before I knew it I had a dishwasher that looks like it was built into my kitchen, and that functions beautifully. He was very professional and knowledgeable, and he completed the job properly and quickly.
I highly recommend Titan Appliance Service and I plan to use them in the future for all of my appliance installation or home repair/​handyman service needs.
