Site Hawk Home Inspections

I had Pete come out and do my home inpection. While there was very good communication of issues, some were missed out. For example, the report had one window with broken seal, but after i moved in, i can easily spot about 5. Also, the report had no issues with the sprinkler system, but i spotted few of the heads not working later.

We recently trying to purchase a home, and our realtor Nick Jenkins (he is great too!) suggests Jared to inspect our home-​to-​be.
First of all,
Jared was very responsive, and he was able to schedule his time quickly so that we can have quick close.
Jared’s inspection was extremely through, he pointed out many details that I haven’t noticed. His report together with every single problems pointed out with pictures as reference for future improvement gave me confidence and a peace of mind to go ahead with my purchase.
I would recommend him to people who want to buy home with confidence. He is really professional !.

Jared was extremely thorough, very easy to communicate with, and patient with all of our excessive questions! We didn’t feel comfortable with the inspector our realtor had set us up with so I called Jared and was able to set up an appointment just two days out. He inspected two properties we were considering, one of them quite old, and did not leave one stone unturned! He was just as familiar with the 1936 house we were looking at as the ’96 house. I was really nervous about finding a reliable inspector who we could trust and I truly feel like we’ve found that with Jared and Sitehawk.

Jared came recommended by our realtor and he did a fantastic Job with our home inspection. He arrived on time, has a competitive rate, was easy to talk to and answered any questions we had. We were able to be present for the entire inspection and he gladly explained things as he went in addition to having a very thorough and easy to understand presentation of his findings after the inspection. Luckily no major issues, but he gave us plenty of things to keep an eye on and how to fix/​improve the issues that were present. Highly recommeded.

I had Jared inspect a home I am going to purchase. He was very thorough and did a great job walking me through all the defects and strengths of the property. He was candid about what was normal and what to be concerned about. He was very pleasant and patient with questions. My wife found Site Hawk Home Insp. for our home we had under contract. Upon Inspection day, Pete, greeted me and told me what he has done so far and will check next. I was really impressed with Jared Beard and Site Hawk Home Inspections. I am in the process of buying my first home so am learning as I go. I called Jared at 3:30 on a Friday afternoon and the inspection was complete by Saturday at noon. I couldn’t believe it. Site Hawk had completed a home inspection on the property for the previous buyer within the last year, so he was able to update the previous report and reduce the fee. He still did a complete inspection of the home, taking new photos and producing a new report. I met him on site and we went through all the photos and discussed any issues. He was easy to work with and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend.

Jared Beard and Sighthawk Home Inspections are the best in town. Let me tell you a little about my experience:
Jared has inspected on not only one but two of the properties I shopped. He came to inspect a property had under contract and man was he through. Not only did he type/​shoot me a passive report he went beyond. Aside from that impressive report he pointed something out. There was a crack of some kind in an external wall. The crack measured below the required limit for concern, but Jared was concerned anyway and went above and beyond to explain what was going on and counseled me to have it checked. I did and to my surprise the whole foundation was off and Jared saved me over $ 30,000!!! Previous inspectors missed this and my Jared proved why hes a SITEHAWK.
So after saving my bacon I hired him (of course) to inspect my next house — It checked out and now I’m living in paradise. I just need Jared to stop working so hard and have a margarita with me!

I don’t trust contractors. Even the nice ones.
They are right up there with seedy used car salesmen and debt collecting scum of the earth for me. So in the process of building my (first!!) new home, I’m about as nervous and finicky as it gets.
Unilocal lead me to several Inspectors, but Site Hawk were the only folks who were prompt in their communication and could see me in the last minute timeframe I had to work with. They are willing to communicate via text and paying them via Paypal was EASY!
The Inspector was on time and the report was SUPER thorough with pictures and charts and descriptions that even someone like me (who is totally ignorant about construction) could easily understand. We had a physical copy and an emailed copy and it made communication with my builder EASY.
Thankfully Site Hawk found several mistakes and a MAJOR structural issue in our garage that my builder and the city inspector were about to pass without batting an eye. Scary!
Now my builder has fixed everything that was done incorrectly and I even got a decent credit back for the upgrades and structures that were not done properly the first time. Fabulous!
I even had a small snafu where a family member forgot to send them a check and I did not find out until a week later when I was checking my accounts. Not once did Site Hawk harass me about that and they were totally patient. MUCH appreciated, there!
I will absolutely be calling these guys back to do my final inspection before close and recommending them to my own clients in my small business.

Pete came out and was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. He explained everything to me in a very easy-​to-​understand manner and went through each and every concern with me. As a home buyer that was very comforting to know his thoughts and recommendations on each item of concern. I will be highly recommending Site Hawk to anyone in the Austin area for their home inspection! They have even continued to work with me even after the completion of our deal to answer any questions I have. Just all around a wonderful guy to work with! Very grateful to have found this company!

Pete Day to save the day! When everyone else was quoting me a five day wait for an appraisal Pete worked with me over the phone to get my new house looked at the next day! His appraisal was thorough and helped us get the house (that I am now currently in) in tip top shape before closing. I would strongly recommend him.

As a first time home buyer I had several apprehensions about who to go with for various services. Jared came recommended by a friend. I have to say I could not be more pleased. We discussed how long the inspection would take and what all it would entail. He inspected every element of the home and pointed out several things that allowed us to negotiate a better price from the seller. Many of which were small things I was capable of taking care of myself.
He was very personable and easy to talk to. H showed up right on time and was within 15 minutes of the estimated time he figured it would take to complete the inspection. I plan on recommending them to anyone I know who is buying a home.

I am a first time home buyer, and I had Pete to do the house inspection. There were some things I am not sure about, but he would make time to explain me what they are and how I can fix those with. He makes me feel good knowing what everything is and how to take care of everything. I would recommend you to check this business out when you need to do an inspection!

Jared came highly referred to us by our realtor. We did our due diligence still and looked up his reviews (all great as you can see), and then I asked him a long list of questions over the phone which he graciously and patiently answered. (When we bought our first house in VA we had a nightmare of a home inspection that cost us thousands of dollars in missed issues so we were VERY particular about who we would use here in Austin.) The first time I called Jared I expected to get voice mail as it was after normal business hours. He actually still answered my call and then spent approximately 20 minutes on the phone with me answering all of my questions. The 2^nd time I called to schedule the inspection I did get voice mail but he called back a few minutes later and let me know he just had to find a place to pull over as he was out driving. Very impressive customer service!
He was easy to schedule an inspection with, he was already there when we got to the property and we arrived 5 minutes early, he agreed to allow my husband and I to watch the inspection from start to finish, he performed a very thorough inspection and noticed many things we wouldn’t have thought to look for, he took his shoes off for the inspection of the interior and had shoe covers/​booties in case we wanted them. At the end he summarized the issues he found, showed us the pictures he’d taken that he would include in the report, and we really couldn’t be more happy with him.
I don’t think I would want to service a customer like myself (distrusting, bitter about a previous experience, etc) and Jared handled it like a champ and never made me feel like a hassle. I’d recommend him to anyone I hear of that needs a home inspector. We feel much more confident going into this home purchase. Thanks again!

My husband and I were really apprehensive about the home inspection process. Jared was very thorough in his explanation of all the issues he found and even provided suggestions on how the repairs could be completed. He assured us that at any point we could contact him with questions even after the inspection was complete. We both felt that we had a better understanding of the home we are purchasing. I recommend Jared if your are new to the home buying process as he has a very detailed approach and ensures you understand what he has found. I don’t plan on buying new house anytime soon, but if I do Jared will be a part of my home buying team.

We had a potential house inspected by Jared. He definitely had no problem calling out issues as they were discovered and was very thorough finding a few issues that I never would have known until a bunch of water damage would have already occurred. He took care in explaining issues and confidently answered any sorts of questions related to the state of the house. His review process is very neat and clean and was e-​mailed to us soon after the inspection.
Additional: After a few rounds of trying to get loose ends tied up (repaired) some contractors seemed incapable (quote «it’s not possible»). Jared explained to them what the matter was, and even sent them a youtube video of the kind of repair required. Due to timeline constraints there was no time left for any more contractor work and so resulted in a small additional credit from the seller. I doubt we would have gotten as fair an outcome with any less persistence and confidence in an inspector. Awesome.

I recently moved from 1 house to another in round rock. Jared inspected my new house. We didn’t find anything wrong in the inspection but as it turns out there was a leak at the shower head in the master bathroom. I called Jared just to see if there was anything he could do to help. He came to the house and did the repair work for us. He even stayed late to finish. He is truly a great person to do business with. I look forward to working with him again in the future.
