Roger Beasley Mazda South

Very disrespectful ane distasteful service. We got a recall on my brand new 2015, I called to make an appointment to get the car fixed when I called i explained I would need a rental car for the time being. The rental car is to be free of charge due to the recall on the car. When my boyfriend showed up for the appointment they would not give him the rental car. Jessica at the desk made him wait an hour, making him miss our other appointment for the day. After sitting for an hour not knowing what was going on he asked again saying he must leave. They finally gave him the rental we were suppose to receive in the first place. When we received the rental there was no walk through with it, and it was very dirty, food, napkins etc. All over the back seat. Very upsetting. Finally getting into the car to be able to pick me up, upon returning an hour later to the dealer ship they ask if we have called out inaurance. Claiming we had damaged the car on the bumper. This is the worst service I have ever received. The negligence and disrespect of the situation was overwhelming. At this point I was beyond upset. 3 hours of running around trying to get a recall fixed that should have never happened. When I asked to talk to the service manager, Matt the man behind the counter was extremely rude rolling his eyes, as though his job was not to help us. This experience shook me up to the point of considering refinance at another dealership.

Good service on the weekend to buy a CX5. There was a mixup on the packages requested over the phone but they corrected it quickly and adjusted quite easily to the new requirements, delivered on the scope and allowed a test sprint to validate the performance and function. We drive out with what we wanted for the price we could afford. I would go back.

The car buying process went very smoothly thanks to Juan who sold me the car, he was great and did his best to work with my budget. However, their service department was a disaster and from what I’ve been told by other customers and even it’s own employees, that’s pretty common. When I baught my car, I was told that it was at the dealership in Killeen and I could pick it up the next day. I was also told that the car would undergo the «Roger Beasly 57-​point inspection», it would be «topped off» (oil, break fluid, ect…) and «filled with gas» after being driven from killeen.
When I got the car and test drove it, the gas tank was on empty (not a big deal) but they never filled it up like they said. Then Juan mentioned that he noticed «something up with the breaks» when he was driving it and would have the service department check it out while we did paperwork (the service department never even looked at it that day, which I didn’t find out until later)
About a week and a half into having the car, the emergency break light would come one and I noticed some major issues with the breaks, so I made an apt. At 10:00 am in the service dept. to have it checked out. My car was in the shop until 6:00 pm, leaving me stuck in austin with no car. When I went to pick it up they told me they put break fluid in it and I could bring it back tomorrow for the rotors and also admitted that they never did an inspection in the first place because they «didn’t know they were supposed to» –_​_​–
I bring the car back the next day at 10:00 am again for another appointment. I inform them about the issue with the breaks, how it wasn’t inspected or topped off like it was supposed to be. Around 4:00 pm the mechanic calls me completely confused about what he is supposed to be doing and says the e-​break light isn’t coming on for him (duh, because they fixed that the day before — it just needed break fluid) so he says he is going to «get started» on the other break issues (rotors were completely worn) and 57 point inspection, after basically walking him through everything I believe needs to be done on thr car.
I pick it up around 7pm (had to miss work a second day in a row because of this) and they tell me everything is fixed. They did in fact put break fluid in the car and new rotors but that’s it. Shortly after I had to get the oil and filter changed, (there was no oil in the car) so it’s pretty clear that the 57 point inspection is complete bs. I was even told by an employee that this happens all the time, they often say they inspect the car and never actually do and will purposely take long to so customers will just go elsewhere.
Unless you are buying brand new, do not go here because the service department seems to have a lot of miscommunication going on between them and what they are actually supposed to do.

We came into Roger Beasley Mazda just looking to test drive a CX5 & were lucky enough to be greeted by Emre Gokgoz. We were shopping the market (basically every competitive dealer around) for a small SUV & of all the places we visited, our experience at this dealership was by far the most pleasant. We got a great quote on an awesome car & were going to think about it for a couple of days while we continued our search. The car we originally fell for ended up being sold but Emre & his manager Fidel were beyond accommodating in trying to find us a similar deal. In the end, we sort of fell in love with a Hyundai & these guys went COMPLETELY out of their way to refer us to their sister store (Roger Beasley Hyundai in Kyle). They found us the exact car we wanted & Emre even drove down to New Branfels to transfer it up to Kyle so that we could test drive it. Bought it that day. Icing on the cake: Emre bought us lunch during our very long day at the dealership as we completed the process. These guys are kind, upstanding & the opposite of pushy. We may have not ended up with a Mazda this time but we will absolutely be referring anyone we know in the market to shop around this dealership. The actual facility is very nice too! Thanks guys!

Got a Mazda6 today from this dealership. Overall a fantastic experience. I worked with Stephen Pratt who was immensely helpful. I needed some time to think about the car color and then I ran into some problems with the documentation needed for car finance. All of this took around 4 – 5 days after I made the deal. Stephen worked through these issues and was available through text/​call. Thumbs up to him.
I am also very pleased with the deal I got here and thumps up to Sean Hartnett who got me that competitive price. The only gripe I have is the interest rate I got here. But, it is not much of an issue since I can always re-​finance.
If you are planning to buy a Mazda, I would definitely recommend you to choose this location in general and Stephen/​Sean in particular.

I’ve been coming to this location on a «if I have no other option» basis. As a woman I have to agree that I do get overcharged and it stinks! I try to compromise and haggle and sometimes I win. Well today I came in to have the positive terminal on my battery replaced. (I brought my own parts and all!) I’m a sweetheart… I know.
I tried to remove the nut myself and I couldn’t get it off. My boyfriend tried and no luck. I went on Jiffy Lubes web site where they «listed that they could» (that’s a whole other review) and nope. So I had no choice but to get it switched at the dealership. (I did not buy my car here by the way).
He starts typing up my bill and I see $ 137 plus tax. I gave him the, «Have you lost yo damn mind?!» look. I ask if he’s kidding. (He got offended.) He then asked what a fair price was. I said, «It should take no more than 20 minutes to take a nut off and put the new terminal on, which I brought, so „fair“ is at least half of that.» He then changed my bill to $ 68.10. First of all thanks? Second, why would you purposely overcharge me when you know better. That’s messed up. That made me mad. I’m glad I saved money by standing up for myself but what about every other fool who doesn’t.
My bill said it took exactly 27 minutes. I was glad and appalled all at the same time. So I don’t know. They’re ok. He was nice afterwards at least.

Tony was very knowledgable during the test drive and made great recommendations on which features were worth getting. He also was able to get the remote start installed same day while we did the paperwork for the sale. Shaun was great in sales and was also very low pressure and let us take the car home without even talking details on price. We brought it back the next day and they were able to do the deal we wanted. Marc in finance was also great and helped get us the best deal possible. We love our new Mazda and would recommend this dealership for a great deal and low pressure sales environment.

Great service. Julian Rodriguez is the man! He deserves a rise and a «employee if the month» plaque plus some bragging rights. He didn’t pressure me to buy but was extremely helpful and nice. Also Marc in financing was funny and the best.

At the end of a 2-​month process of car buying, I made the big purchase at Roger Beasley. I’ll be the first to admit that the kind service, pressure-​free sales process and knowledgeable staff are some of the main reasons I kept coming back and finally ended up making the purchase. In sharp contrast, the folks at Howdy Honda were rude and did not give me the attention that the folks at Mazda did. My salesperson (Brett) was patient during my two test drives and treated me like a friend rather than a customer; he was forthright, honest, and quick to respond to my many questions, and that made all the difference. When the sales manager crunched numbers, he was patient and kind, and together we found an agreeable price for not just any car, but what is truly the best car in its class.
Hoping this all translates to a positive post-​sales experience as well.

My wife and I purchased a 2016 Mazda 3 sedan this past weekend. This was our first car buying experience and I am very pleased with the service we received.
Before visiting Mazda South I received some quotes and information from internet sales specialist Dustin W. Dustin was very responsive and helpful whenever I emailed him a question or gave him a call. Working with Dustin and setting up an appointment certainly made my visit to the dealership much smoother as he briefed our floor salesman with what we were looking for.
When we arrived at Mazda South we were greeted by Rick R. who was a pleasure to work with. Rick understood that my wife and I already did our research and knew what we wanted so he did not try to pressure us into anything extra or into a different vehicle. We did not have to tell Rick «no» more than once for anything he offered, such as the preferred package on the vehicle. Rick was such a nice guy throughout the whole process, and when it came time to finalize the sale, he located the model and color we were looking for at another Roger Beasley dealership, picked us up in the morning, drove us to Mazda Central and allowed my wife and I to drive our car to Mazda South before we accepted delivery.
We also worked briefly with Steve B., the sales manager. Steve is a true salesman but we were happy we could eventually agree to terms.
The whole overall experience was fantastic. Since this was our first car buying experience, we imagined what you would see on TV with a sleazy car salesman trying to get you at every turn. What happened was the complete opposite, and our car buying experience was mostly stress free and comfortable. My wife and I may need a second car in the near future, and visiting Rick R. at Mazda South will be the first thing I do when the time comes.

This has been the best car buying experience ever! Many thanks to Aaron H and Kevin for helping with the car of my dreams! We will definitely be back for future purchases. You guys are the BEST!

What started out as a very pleasant experience, has been overwhelmed by frustration. While purchasing a used car, we informed them that we had disabled vet plates, and would not need to purchase new plates. We were charged for new plates anyway, and we have spent several months trying to get our money back for the plates they ordered for us, which we did not need. To no avail. They talk a good talk, «oh we’ll take care of this right away,» even had me send pics of of my DV plates to the finance manager. 11 months have passed and still, no action, or response. No way, will I trust them with my business again.

I’m new to Austin, but not to Mazda. I’ve purchased 2 new cars at their KC location and I have a prepaid maintenance plan. Well what a nightmare it’s been to ensure the people at this location in Austin find this plan. It’s not a dealer specific plan either, it’s for any Mazda dealership (I’ve confirmed with Mazda corporate, as well as my previous and fantastic dealership in KC).
Twice, the service manager has called to apologize. Please do not call me again, please just train your people so that I don’t have to literally call my previous dealership each time I set an appointment, 3-​way you in so that they can walk you through the process of finding my plan in your system. Absolutely ridiculous.
The only positive comment I can make is that Matt in the service department did help me resolve the issue and asked me to just work with him directly. That’s fantastic, but what if Matt is sick or quits?
My final advice to management: Take the time you’re calling people to apologize and instead invest it in getting better training for your staff. Wouldn’t that be time well spent?

Came here to buy a used car. Everyone was super friendly & they help you get the car you want ! Melissa was super helpful and friendly and definitely would refer her to another person .
The service part of the car takes a while, we weren’t able to bring our car home the day we signed papers & when we were told it was ready it wasn’t and we waited another hour and a half. They also gave the car to us with wet seats.

Looking at my profile it’s pretty obvious I am a food and bevvy kind of gal… Sometimes you just have one of those fabulous customer service experiences that I feel compelled to share.
If you are in the market to buy a car, I very much recommend visiting Aaron Hawthorne at this dealership.
Car buying/​financing is a big deal, after your home it’s likely to be your other big ticket item. There are soooooooo many choices, so knowing you have someone looking out for you, who is also a straight shooter is a diamond in the rough. Plus he has oodles of patience for your kids while you maybe running out of it!

I have been disappointed over, and over, and over again with the service and quality of Mazdas. I bought a car from Mazda south and have since replace a failed transmission, engine, radiator, condenser, and compressor (all between 40,000 to 75,000 miles).
Every time I show up at the Mazda service center, I have to fight to not be taken advantage of. They make me wait unreasonable amounts of time with small children, and they attempt to over-​sell and over-​charge me every time. My car was in the shop for over a month without a replacement car when the engine was being replaced. I’ve tried Mazda Central, but they are even worse. The service assistant even admitted to me once that his boss told him to stall progress and keep me there as long as possible. On that same day, the service assistant was instructed to deny my inspection with a phony story about my tail lights. They told me that not only did they fail my inspection, but it would also cost me $ 1500+ to replace the tail lights. I immediately drove it from Mazda to Groovy Automotive, where my inspection was passed with no issues and I was informed that Mazda’s story was all lies.
Today, my boyfriend’s mother had a stroke and he was waiting for me at the hospital, but I had lost the key to my car. Mazda insisted that the car must be here at the dealership to replace the key, so I paid to have it towed here. I was quoted $ 110 for a regular key (not remote entry) over the phone, but once I arrived, they quoted me $ 179 for the same service, told me that they were too busy to handle my business in one day so I would have to leave it overnight, and told me that there were no rental cars to help me and no one could give us a ride.
It’s so cliché in 2015 to take advantage of women at dealerships. I cannot wait to dispose of this worthless piece of metal. I will never, ever own a Mazda again, and I don’t recommend that anyone else purchase one either.

I purchased a 2014 Mazda 6 from Steve Sonskie on ¹¹⁄₂₅. He was a true gentleman from the start. He spoke the truth from the get go very skilled salesman knew he stuff. Mazda south always treats us very well this was my 3^rd car purchased with them and prolly won’t be my last. Everybody from sales to finance truly doing a great job! Thanks again Steve and keep up the great customer service oh and another thing we loved about him is that he animal lover!
