Went here for my state inspection. I was a walk-​in on a Saturday afternoon, so I was prepared to wait a little while (especially because I’ve never had a car service experience that didn’t involve waiting). I was pleasantly surprised — this place was awesome from the get-​go!
I pulled in, the friendly service guy took my keys and looked at my insurance card, and then he immediately got working on my inspection. 10 minutes later, it was all done! Plus, the whole thing was only $ 18.50. Couldn’t have gone better! I’ll definitely be back!

Great service, I and out in no time. I actually get to enjoy my Saturday morning instead of waiting for eternity in a waiting room for an oil change. Also one of the servicemen talked me out of the Synthetic high priced oil that I have always been told was my only option and which any other service place would have encouraged me to take because of the higher bill. I’ll definitely use them again!

These guys rocked the house. Super fast service. No pushy up sell. Polite and courteous in and out in 20 have a nice day.

Right when I pulled up someone was there to ask what I needed. Showed me where waitroom was. Told me there’s coffee and magazine/​paper to read. Took maybe 10 minutes to get inspection. Told the guy, Dayton, how great they were and he said its family owned and been there for several years. Felt like it. Definitely recommend this place!

My maintenance light turned on and I thought I needed an oil change. As soon as I pulled up, Chris checked my oil and he honestly informed me that I don’t need an oil change. On top of that, he took off the maintenance light required. All for free. I was very impressed with the service that I’ll make sure to come back here again! Thank you!

Very impressed by how quickly the inspection was done and by the politeness of the inspector. Also the shop mechanic helped me out when my engine light indicator turned on later for unrelated reasons. Great place!

I’ve never had an inspection done so quickly before, especially with as many cars that were ahead of me in line.
The guys here are friendly and efficient, and willing to work with you to help with anything that could be wrong. They also have a mechanic on site for minor fixes. And the prices are super affordable.
Definitely give it a go next time you need your inspection done.

I’m new to Austin, and still finding my way around — so when people are genuinely helpful and kind it means the world to me. These guys have helped me so much, Steve and Don in particular. Steve did the safety emissions test on my 2001 BMW, and helped me figure out why my car was fishtailing. My second visit, Don offered to help me take off my New York plates and put on my new Texas ones. No charge. Even when he couldn’t change my oil, he recommended someone who could. «Welcome to Texas,» Don said. With service and people like this, I feel very welcome indeed. And I’ll be back!

I use Unilocal to find any service I need, and I have never been let down. The first time I used it was to find an Oil Change shop, Unilocal brought me to Lube Pit Stop, and I’ve never looked back. Thanks Unilocal.I will say that because of proximity that I have taken my car to other shops since, and each time I regret it – Lube Pit stop has never been outdone. In fact, each time I had gone to another place, I felt let down. One time I was in there, one of the employees saw that I had an oil leak and suggested that I bring my car to them to get the leak fixed.
I didn’t.
Why? Because I was an idiot.
I took it to the Honda dealership, and (although they were nice), I paid way too much.
The other day I found that I had another engine leak (Mercury in Retrograde has been unkind to my car and I), and I took it in to Brad at Lube’s. I also needed an O2 sensor changed. Brad did both for less than it would have cost me at the dealer. Wait, that’s not true. The dealership wanted me to get a whole new catalytic converter for nearly $ 1000, so I saved a ton.
While my car was up on the lift, Brad saw that I had a Main Front Seal leak, and although he said he didn’t fix those, he told me of another place to take my car. Man, that was super nice.
So, I guess what I am trying to say is that I recommend Lube Pit Stop for service. If they can’t get you in and out or fixed, they will get you to someone who does.

Quick, polite, affordable, awesome. I went here for years before moving from Austin (tear!). These guys rock and don’t try to overcharge or upsell you — gals, y’all know how stressful those types of places can be, but these guys even have a ladies special one day a week. Check em out!

The only place I have taken my Ford Escape for oil changes and tire rotations. The guys are nice and fast. They have a picnic table out front to sit. A good price. Fast. What else do you want from a oil change place? Happy to support these guys. I will be back!

So glad I found this place on Unilocal.Ever since moving to Austin from out-​of-​state, I have always had a hard time trying to find a good oil-​change place. I decided to give this place a shot after seeing a good 4.5+ star review on here and I was not disappointed. I came here on a Saturday afternoon and I was able to slide right in, no appointment necessary. I was greeted by a nice guy shortly after pulling up to the back of the building. They had my oil changed in less than 15 mins. My car isn’t anything special, and I just needed a basic oil change. They didn’t try to oversell me on anything either (which is one of my big complaints about other oil change places here in Austin). Service was great overall and I will be back in ~4500 miles. A+.

Cool place with quick service. Didn’t try to upsell me and the customer service is definitely above average, so I’m happy. Pretty quick oil change too, but definitely not under 10 minutes, which to be honest is a bit of a crazy sell. They DO have 5W30 Synthetic Oil, whether you want the house oil or a specific one, which is what my car needs,

I’m really loyal to this place. They’re super friendly and helpful, and so so fast.
They’ve also given me tips on how to do things like change out my headlight bulbs myself –something they could charge for.
They just seem happy here. I’ll always go back.

I went here today. No wait, which was nice. Coming in from the North side of town was kind of annoying; the traffic just doesn’t stop (so come from the south side).
I went there for my lease’s first auto change. While I didn’t expect anything wrong with my car because it was so new, I did however expect a full inspection. They changed my oil quick. too quick. I’m used to auto places showing me filters, showing me full inspection lists, that kind of thing. The whole process took 5 minutes, way too short a time for the work I expected to be done. The bill came to 50 bucks after asking me if I wanted synthetic oil for another 20. I’m not sure about the prices for an oil change in Austin but where I come from you’d never see an oil change above $ 20 – 25. The place absolutely reeked of BO. Would not go there again.

Still love this place! Been coming in for oil changes (faster and cheaper than dealership) and no issues. As someone mentioned before they dont charge for topping off fluids or washing windows either. Plus they give an itemized checklist of every service on your receipt. Just found out they rotate tires here too. These guys are the best!

This is my new favorite oil change business. They got me in and out quickly and the price wasn’t too bad for the swanky South Lamar location. But the service… Oh my, after every oil change I usually do a follow up at the house to see what they did and didn’t do. These guys nailed it. Nothing missing, Nice job. I knew it was a good sign when I saw the long beards on the mechanics.

Finally!!! I had been going to Mcspaddens for years and had a terrible experience with them. I had an appt with them this morning to give them another try then my friend (and a random lady behind me in line also chimed in) told me about this Lube Pit Stop. Said he never waits more than 20 minutes and everyone is also friendly. Well no one mentioned that everyone who works here is HOT also… and I don’t mean temperature! If I wasn’t moving away I would definitely make this place my new regular oil change. And wow they were right! 20 minutes! Like every other place they came to me with my dirty air filter but they didn’t say they’d charge me $ 30 to change it. $ 10! Not bad! Thanks guys!!!
