All sales and little service.
I’ve used Lambs several times and always felt that they upcharged me for things I didn’t need. So I put them through a test on an old, not well maintained, 2003 Honda Pilot. I asked them what it would cost to get it up to inspection. They said $ 3,300! When I told them the car was maybe worth $ 1,500, and I only use it about 10 times a year, they said I could squeak by for just $ 2,300 in repairs.
Then I took it to Howdy Honda. Their quote? $ 230.
Screw you Lambs. Thank you Howdy Honda.

I only took my car in for a safety inspection, but I can say that the two guys I dealt with were extremely polite, friendly, and professional. They completed the task quickly and called me when the car was ready. I didn’t use it, but the waiting room is spacious, bright, and clean.

Recently, I moved from out of state and was accustomed to going to a local auto repair place where I was known by name, and genuinely taken care of from repairs to routine oil changes. I have been hesitant to take my car anywhere in Austin in fear of being «ripped off.» I decided on Lamb’s since they are local; I wanted and needed a place that is reliable, dependable, trustworthy and convenient and was hoping I could find this within a local company. Lamb’s is definitely all of these and I am so relieved grateful that I went to their business! Their costumer service is top notch; I never felt threatened and/​or pressured to get the work done that I needed. Most importantly, they were genuinely trustworthy and explained why I needed the work done that I did, and then went even further to explain to me why I could wait to have some services done during the next time I decided to make an appointment. Truly impressed and just very thankful for these guys! Recommendations for them will be made to new and old friends for sure!

So it was a bit of a rough start to my day when I had to limp into a gas station to fill up a very flat tire… After I aired it up and hoped it would hold I went to pep boys who told me they couldn’t repair my tire for a day or 2. Hmm… Well that wasn’t gonna work! I made my way down to Lamb’s and they fixed it in under 30 mins… Sweetest guys ever too! I live in Houston but anyone who needs great service, take your car to Lamb’s on Lamar!

Paul over at Lambs is great. I initially went in to get just my oil pan cover put back in place he didn’t change and just Alec me to come back. I came back in to get an oil change alignment and rotation. They took care of me and got me on my way.

I was so impressed that after sending my boyfriend out on a mission to try to figure out why my nitrogen air pressure light was on, he came home and told me that Paul the store manager helped him with my tire and it was due to a nail that I had run over. Paul was friendly accommodating and made sure that my tire was patched and resolved! Thank you, we will be back.

It’s not my nature to rate something negatively, unless I really feel others need to know, and in this case, I do.
I stopped by on a Thurs. afternoon for an oil change. There were no other customers in the lobby, so I thought this was a good sign that I could be in and out in a reasonable amount of time — not the case! Almost two hours later I left. I should have been red-​flagged by the fact that my car set in the parking lot for too long and a disgruntled employee told another employee they needed to «get dressed» and get my car going.
Then I had the displeasure of hearing an employee talk to a new potential employee on the phone explaining the salary offer and how he could make more money by «up-​selling!» By this time my car was being serviced, or I would have left. And this was after I’d been «up-​sold» on a more expensive oil. Even though another Lambs had never tried to sell me anything differently — they had my history in their system.
I will not return, which is unfortunate, b/​c they’re convenient to my office and home.
There must be a lot of new employees working here and it’s obvious they need training in customer service!
The only positive was the waiting area was clean. Only one person apologized to me for the wait. The employee checking me out said 1 ½ hours was the norm for an oil change. Really? Since when? They need to make some improvements to keep up with the competition!
