Jiffy Lube

I have previously spoke very highly about this location, but I’m kinda curious about an experience I had this evening. I went in to get an oil change around 6:10 (not knowing they close at 7:00) and asked for an oil change with 10w40. The guys working here first said they were out of 10w40 and then it later changed to they don’t carry 10w40. It’s weird because I have had my oil changed at this same location several times with 10w40. Now I am curious if they were just giving me the shaft because they wanted to get out of there early.

Thanks Tyler & team! Wow! That was a fast oil change and TX State Inspection! Not only that, but you have a clean restroom and very comfortable lobby waiting area! One might expect hard plastic chairs, but your chairs were so comfortable it was hard to leave! And free coffee too! A+

Lazy! Went in for a routine oil change and, of course, they tried to upsell me a battery and air filter. When I got home I noticed that my battery cover was sitting on top of my motor — these jokers failed to reattach my battery cover AND didn’t tighten the bolts on my air filter. This stuff takes all but 2 seconds. Seriously? Would never go back here…

Super friendly service, this was our second time here. Scott helped us out, explained what was wrong with our car– mostly oil problem and high mileage. He and his buddies fixed the problem and we were off. Minimal waiting time, no upsell, great team to work with. We will be back another Sunday morning!

Recent publicity to the this industry made me super nervous to take my company vehicle anywhere. However, these guys are honest and FAST. I was in and out in about 10 minutes. Everyone was extremely friendly and easy to work with. I will be back EVERY TIME to this location! Thanks guys!

Awesome service! Friendly staff! They are always on the ball, I have run low on time on several occasions and pull in for a quick top off! In and out in less than 5 minutes. I will continue to use these guys!

Very friendly staff! Have been bringing all our cars here for year and have always been very pleased. Just brought in two cars for headlight restoration and they did an awesome job on both ! Highly recommend these guys!

Went in on a Sunday morning and they were quick and very friendly. I had a slow leak and they ended up finding the nail and patching it up. I definitely recommend this place and plan to take my car again for some honest, legit service.

Went in for a routine oil change. When I got there the attendant told me I was due for a tire rotation, so I told them they could go ahead and do that, too.
They were quick with the oil change and the tire work, however, when I got home, I was missing two of my lug nut covers on my rear wheel on the driver’s side. I am meticulous about my car and would have noticed this in the two+ years I have been driving my car.
I had the husband call back up to this location and explain the situation. The guy who answered the phone was quick to say that I was missing two of the covers already when I brought it in, which isn’t true, but at that point it’s his word against mine. Who ever heard of oil jockeys forgetting to do something? Uh yeah. Thanks guys.
Called my dealership to buy a few more today and when I talked to the dealer, he said they would never sell a car without a full set and mine indeed did come with a full set. When they lost the ones on my car they replaced them with some cheap lugs and didn’t say anything about me missing any. Noticed a few days later that one of the tire caps was missing on one of my wheels also.
Won’t be getting an oil change here again.

I have gone to this jiffy lube since it opened. We have done all transmission maintenance at this center. I noticed that my mountaineer wasn’t shifting properly, and took it in to have service. The tech told me that they did not have the tools to service the transmission properly. It was probably the first honest answer I’d received.
I then asked the tech to bring up the service records. I found that my wife had brought the truck in for service recently. At this point, I grew concerned, because I suspected that Jiffy Lube had not been servicing my transmission properly all along, or worse, were billing me for work not done.
I left, and got the transmission fluid changed elsewhere. I had them save the fluid. It was dead black, much too thick, and scorched smelling. The fluid should have been clear and tinted red, and smelled clean. The local shop has a mechanic who is now a family friend. He said he’d rarely seen worse. He suggested that I try to get my money back. He said that this truck (which supposedly had service performed per recommendations) had not been properly serviced in quite some time, if ever.
I later returned to the jiffy lube and a tech admitted that the work could not have been performed. He wrote down words to that effect on the invoice, and asked me to return when the manager was in for a refund.
They offered a refund for the service, but only if I offered to sign a hold-​harmless agreement. I told him that wasn’t going to happen. My transmission is now shifting hard and I am going to take the truck in for repairs. I will do my best to get Jiffy Lube to pay for the damage, but they have already indicated that they will not pay. I’ve gone to the manager, the district manager, and the district person in charge of claims.
Now fully terrified, I took my other car into the local garage to check out the automatic fluid on that car too. Sure enough, same problem. Black fluid.
I still have the fluid in my garage.
Don’t get transmission service done here. In fact, you’d be better off not getting any service done at this shop at all. They are at best incompetent, and at worst dishonest scam artists.

Don’t trust them. I went there 3 times they are always trying to sell you other services. Last time I went there I ended up with a small oil leak. I took it back the following day and they advised me they didn’t see a problem and they did nothing wrong.
Somehow the oil leak stopped, they just didn’t tighten down the oil filter enough. Not a big deal, but just admit what the problem was.

These guys are great. I always feel like I’m going to get the wool pulled over my eyes when it comes to car stuff because I’m a girl, but these guys seemed upfront and honest and didn’t push products. They gave me exactly what I needed and nothing more while being really friendly.
