I’ve never worked with an interior designer before, and the idea of paying someone to help me match colors was painful. So we hired Kari at Jerri Kunz as a last resort and at the 11^th hour when I was at the deadline to make selections for our new house. I had lots of ideas but couldn’t make any of the colors or patterns match.
Our only regret is that we didn’t hire her sooner in the process because she is not only great, but made things so much easier. I got an appointment with her quickly (within a couple of days) and she met us at our home. I handed her a bunch of photographs of home interiors I liked, pointed to a pile of about 50 tile and countertop samples and said HELP! And that’s when she worked her magic and my headache disappeared. Within about 20 minutes she had the colors picked out for all the rooms. Same thing when it came time to pick paints — she opened a huge box full of samples and we had the paint selected in about 20 minutes. The paint, countertops and tile are already installed and they look great.
I was hesitant to even hire an interior designer because I just needed a little help picking colors. I didn’t want a full service project management team or a pushy designer trying to sell me services I didn’t want. My concerns were totally unfounded. I told Kari what kind of help I needed, and those are the services I got. And her charges were very reasonable.
Kari gives excellent advice, and she’s been so helpful that we expanded the scope of the initial project and are getting her help with several other things. She’s great and we highly recommend her.

Good location, zippy style.
Cost some close folks to me over 70G (and over 6 months) for a (very simple) kitchen.
Picked a great contractor, but a lot was lost… Interviews great… Would check her references before moving forward (as with any designer).
