We first started using Hound for Hound this year, for our two cats, when we took a 2 week trip out of the country. I was very hesitant to leave my cats with someone else, especially for so long, but Matt was awesome and put our minds at ease. Everyday we received a photo and update on how they were doing. He would play with them, change their water, scoop their litter, feed them and give them treats. He even offered to check mail, ect. I will definitely recommend to all my friends with pets. Even my ornery cat warmed up to him and that’s saying a lot!

Two years later and we’re still using Matt!
Bucket enjoys her twice a week walks and I enjoy knowing that she’s getting exercise while I’m at work. What could be better?

Matt is a great guy. While checking in on my kitty he sent text updates and photos daily. He was very responsive and professional. He also walks my two dogs several times a week. He is always prompt, and sends me text updates and photos when he’s on the walk. Highly recommended.

We went away for almost a week, and Matt did an outstanding job taking care of our two dogs! Normally, my dog is a nervous wreck from being boarded in a strange place. But Matt was able to take care of them at their own house… for a price that was at least as good as any kennel. He walked them, fed them – including their medicine – played with them, and even fed the cat. For once, when I got home from my trip, I had happy, stress-​free pets waiting for me! Whether you’re going away for an afternoon, or a week, no one will take better care of your pets than Matt.

Matt is great. He walks my dog twice a week and gives her some nice mid-​day excitement.
He gives me updates on how she does and sends a photo — usually with a fun caption — of their walk together.
He’s very communicative and easy to work with. I recommend him highly.

I’ve been very pleased with Matt and highly recommend him!
As a longtime professional in the pet care industry myself, I’d like to see more pet sitters take their job as seriously as Matt does. I’ve had him care for my dogs a number of times and have been very happy. Even though he has many clients, he gives the type of care and consideration that makes me feel like I’m his number one client.
Both my dogs have some special needs and Matt’s very mindful of that. One of my dogs in particular, has some health issues and as a result some of my instructions can be a bit detailed. Matt follows through with those instructions perfectly. Whenever I have Matt take care of my dogs I know they will be well taken care of.

Yes, my first experience with Matt and Hound for Hound was great, but the true test is whether or not such outstanding service continues. It does. I got back today from a weeklong business trip, and not only was it evident Matt kept them fed and watered, and the litter box cleaned, but during his second visit this time ’round, the shy cat came out to socialize. WOW. Both cats were happy to see me, and I was glad to know they were so well cared for in my absence. Thanks again, Matt!

Hound for Hound was amazing! This was the first time we had ever used a dog sitter and had an amazing experience. Matt took great care of our dog. He sent us updates on how he was doing and also sent pictures.
We got into a bind and had to call Matt at the last second to come out to our house and let out our dog. He came quickly and never complained. He also let us know when he got there and sent more pictures.
I highly recommend Hound for Hound!

Matt watched the cats while me and my husband went away for 2 weeks over Christmas. The inital meeting gave me a lot of confidence that this guy was not only someone who’d do a great job taking care of our pets, but also someone I had no reservations about handing over the keys to the house.
He sent me text messages at every visit, which let me see how the little ones were doing and letting me know if there was any kind of problem. He made sure to track down my scaredy cat’s hiding spot during every visit to ensure all were safe and happy. He switched the lights, took in the mail, and was even really cool about pocket drunk dialing him at midnight. (Sorry Matt!)
I was absolutely very happy with his service and will definitely be using him for future visits out of town.

Hound for Hound did a great job taking care of my two cats over a long weekend. One cat is very gregarious, and the other much more wary of strangers. Matt made it his mission to earn the trust & affection of the more wary cat! He sent me text messages when he was at the house, and left a note at the house telling me of their activities & behaviors.
It was a great experience for the cats and myself, and I wouldn’t hesitate to use HfH again, or to recommend them!
