Established in 2014.

‘The Doggie Lama’ was founded here in Austin through Rover​.com in January 2014. I offer an alternative to traditional dog boarding with individualized in home sitting and dog walking services.

I began dog sitting for family, friends, and even bosses in 1993 while attending college in Tucson, Arizona. As an avid animal lover, caring for my furry 4 legged friends became my daily joy! It wasn’t until recently when I resigned as a flight attendant to become a stay at home mother was I afforded the opportunity to pursue my other passion… Dogs!

Hello, I’m Amy! I’m originally from Huntington Beach, CA. I moved to Austin as a flight attendant 2 years ago with my then one year old son. As a single mother I understand how challenging it can be to find quality, yet affordable sitting for your loved one. While flying I had to rely heavily on the loving and generous support of my community. Now that I’m a stay at home mother, I’m dedicated to ‘paying it forward’ the best, and most fun way I know how! Dogs are truly blessings in any family, and I would be honored to care for yours.
