Katie S.

Business Owner

Katie Smith is a life-​long animal lover; she grew up with many pets and began getting paid for dog walking for and pet sitting when she was 12 years old.

After graduating from Oberlin College, Katie went to Arizona to pursue her dream of working with animals and worked on a cattle ranch where she gained extensive experience training and caring for all kinds of animals including dogs, horses, cows, and cats.

Katie also worked in the non-​profit sector for several years providing case management for homeless families and for children while continuing to work part-​time as a dog walker and pet sitter.

Katie currently has one cat named Stuart. She loves reading pet books and websites and is always excited to be learning more about animal behavior and health. In her free time Katie enjoys yoga, exploring Austin, and catching the latest flick at the Alamo Drafthouse.
