I visited Hairstream a few months ago. October, to be exact. My friend and I were on a road trip to 5 diff cities and spent 2 nights in Austin. Didn’t know much about Austin, but walked around East Austin, saw the Hairstream, needed a cut, and gave it a shot. Tracie was amazing, took me as a walkin, and this is definitely the best haircut I’ve ever had. She did exactly as I asked and it came out exactly as I suspected, but better. She also recommended a fantastic lunch a few trailers down. I definitely recommend this spot.

Walked into Tracie’s cool, air conditioned airstream trailer. She put a lonestar in my hand, sat me down and gave me a dope haircut. it was beautiful.

I visited Tracie today at Hairstream to get a men’s cut. I felt compelled to write a review and let everyone know what a great experience I had at Hairstream. Tracie is one of the nicest people you could meet. She recently renovated an Airstream trailer to this really cute little salon. I wasn’t sure what to expect as I’ve previously gone to Finley’s, Hearts & Robots and Method Salon. This was a much more homely experience. Tracie is a very talented hair stylist. She spent a few mins understanding what I wanted and how I like to wear my hair. She is very thorough and took her time. You can rest assured that you will receive a perfectionists touch. Long and the short. Tracie is good people, a great stylist, local and someone who’s concept you want to see be a raving success. She’s a real Eastside Austinite and currently working on her own hair product line! I hope you give Tracy a try. I know I’ll be back soon!

My husband got a haircut here a few days before our wedding. The haircut was awesome and he said Tracie was great. He said if we lived in Austin this would be his regular place! We definitely recommend this place!

I’ve been getting my hair done by Tracie since she had a space at the Omni Hotel. She always makes my hair look fabulous, and I routinely get compliments on it from both girls and guys.(Yes, I know my profile pic doesn’t have much hair, but trust me, I do now). Once, Tracie was out of town and I went to another stylist — that was a bad move. All my friends said I should have waited and gone to Tracie. Now I’ve followed Tracie to the East side, to a cute hair salon in a vintage Airstream, located among the food trailers on E 6th. Tracie is super charming, a native Texan, and has been an Eastsider for a long time. She did an awesome job of restoring the chrome trailer. It truly embodies the uniqueness of East Austin. The new space is bright and airy, and it’s such a pleasure to be in there getting my hair done on a beautiful sunny day. She even has a couple of parking spots right in front of the trailer in the Wanderlust lot.
