Tad and his team did an excellent job on my recent move. They showed up and were both quick and efficient, so everything went very smooth. They were finished in less than two hours and nothing was damaged or broken. I would absolutely use them again and recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and honest company. Thank you Tad!

Couldn’t have asked for a better moving experience!
After doing some research and asking for quotes from tons of other moving company, 3^rd Story Movers responded super quick with the most reasonable quote I could find. I even had a 3-​person moving team, where as every other moving company usually only gives you 2 people and charges extra for the third.
I was able to do the whole booking process online, which is great for me because my job does not make it convenient for me to make personal phone calls during normal business hours. Also, unlike many other companies, they did not inundate my phone’s inbox with desperate voicemails, which was nice. Tadd, the owner, was great at responding to all of my questions in a very timely manner. I received multiple confirmations and reminders of my move prior to moving day.
On the day of the move, the movers showed up early and had my 1 bedroom apartment packed up in the truck within an hour. They had it all unpacked in my new 2 bedroom apartment in less than an hour. They even hooked up my washer/​dryer in the new apartment for me. These guys have moving down to a science!
Bottom line– Tadd and his team were super friendly, affordable, fast, efficient, careful and organized. I was a little nervous about moving because all of my friends and family were unavailable to help me on moving day, but Third Story Movers made the whole experience stress free and painless. I will definitely use them again the next time I need to move.

The guys from 3^rd story movers were awesome. They moved me out from my 3^rd story apartment and finished in a hour and a half. I then used them again to move into my new place on the 1^st floor a few days later. Moving out they were 30 mins early so I assumed for moving in they would also be early but they ended up being about 30 mins late. It all worked out thou because it took them less than an hour to move me in and we had added a washer and dryer to the load. This was my first time using movers and I am so glad I did! These guys made this hard process super easy.

I really would have loved to be writing an amazing review for this business. I read great reviews about Austin third story movers on other sites which was why I decided to schedule my move with them. Tadd was great at communicating with me about moving times and setting up the schedule, which was for Saturday at 9am. He always got back to me quickly and answered my questions prior to the day of the move.
First off, Tadd told me that I would need to provide my own moving truck for a 2 – 3 hour move, which I thought was a little odd. Moving companies should have their own trucks. But with the great price they were offering ($ 65/​hour), I was ok finding a truck on my own.
Come the day of the move, I got up early, picked up the truck from a storage company, and was at my apartment completely packed and ready to go by 9am. Now the confirmation email said to give a 45 minute window for the movers to arrive, which I figured was standard, but for a 9am moving time, I figured they would be more on time than say 4pm moving time. Anyways, I gave Tadd until 9:45am and then gave him a call, which went straight to voicemail. I continued to try to get a hold of him until 10:30 by calling and texting him when he finally text me back with a simple «I will need to reschedule» 1.5 hours after the scheduled move. Now I was sitting among my boxes and packed up furniture with a huge truck by the side of the road and no way of moving. This was the last thing I ever heard from Tadd (until I got an automated thank you for your business email on Monday morning, which encouraged me to write a review).
I am completely understanding of emergencies and needing to put family/​friends before ones business. I even would encourage it. Of course it would be unfortunate for me to have to change my plans because of something like that, but I would have completely been ok had I gotten something more than «I will need to reschedule» over text. Need to reschedule for today? Tomorrow? Next week? Should I return this big truck? Keep it? Find another moving company? Wait for a response? I would have just liked a little more detail so my day and move were not in limbo. I would have liked some sort of communication to let me know what to expect now that they needed to reschedule. And to make me feel like my business was in fact important to this company but they had to unfortunately put something before me.
I did finally find another moving company that fit me in their schedule that day (which provided a moving truck) so I had to rent a truck which cost me an extra $ 45 for no reason at all.

Tadd and Frank were awesome! I moved from a one story to a two story. They were careful, thorough, and really cared about our possessions. They carried our heaviest stuff to the second floor with a smile. We moved from a 4 bedroom to a 4 bedroom and there was so much stuff. My daughter and I were surprised that there were only 2 people. They worked like they were a team of 10. And then it came time to pay. It was the best deal ever. It was so much less than i had thought it would be I mean I know how much it was an hour, but I had some big stuff and the price was per hour what Tadd quoted. This company works hard and is very deserving of all accolades
