We specialize in complete tree care which includes.

1) Pruning trees and large ornamentals like Crape Myrtles and pruning for roof and utility line clearance. Pruning would consist of dead limb removal, pruning long heavy limbs to reduce weight to prevent breakage, cutting ornamentals back to keep them in their space and promote blooming and pruning storm damaged trees to help them recover.

2) Installing support cables in trees with weak forks to prevent splitting.

3) Removing trees when they are dead, dangerous or undesired.

4) Planting trees and shrubs.

History

Established in 1982.

Shane Parten worked in a tropical nursery in southern Florida in the early seventies and did tropical landscaping, then moved to Tampa, Florida where he ran his own landscape maintenance company. He then moved to Arizona and did contract TSI (Timber Stand Improvement) for the US Forest Service in the Arizona national forests on the Mogollon Plateau. He moved back to Austin, Texas in 1982, started Shane’s Tree Service in 1983 and changed the name to Apex Arborists in 2007.

Shane Parten is a competent urban arborist and has been certified through the International Society or Arboriculture’s program and is an ISA certified arborist. His business philosophy incorporates sound, up to date arboricultural and landscape methods.
