Austin Tree Surgeons

I highly recommend Austin Tree Surgeons. I have used their tree pruning services twice; as certified arborists, they have the education and experience to care for trees properly. Trees are an investment and need someone knowledgeable to care for them. This is a professional service, so don’t expect the low bid that the ‘guy with pickup truck and chain saw’ will give you. This firm also does an outstanding job of cleaning up and hauling off all brush, and are mindful not to stomp on your other plants. They are quick to respond to requests for estimates, schedule the work promptly, and are on time.

The quote we received was $ 4,000 more than all the over tree services we obtained bids from. Shop around before hiring this company.

I had a large dead post oak in my back yard which stood directly next to my house and very near the neighbors house, with drop line power lines also very near. We’ve stalled on removing it for years because we knew it would be «tricky» and expensive. But the day finally came when we couldn’t avoid it any longer and I began to search for bids. I found ATS on Unilocal with rave reviews! They immediately responded to my inquiry and sent someone out who presented us with the lowest bid we’d received. We then decided it was also time to take out a very mature failing bradford pear tree in the front yard. The bid for both these trees was then on the level of what other companies had given me for just the oak. On request, they also agreed to cut up a fair amount of the oak tree for firepit wood, at no extra cost. They booked our job about 2 weeks out which was fine. 2 men showed up about 11:00 am on a 100+ degree day and set to work, first taking down the pear tree. After cleaning up from that tree, they took a well earned lunch break before returning in the hotest part of the day to begin working on the oak tree, carefully taking it down foot by foot. I reluctantly had to leave at 5:30 and they were still hard at work. When I returned after 8:00 they were just finishing up. When I sympathized at how long they’d worked, I was told by a wreary but friendly worker, that «we have to finish the job». They had to wheel barrel the huge tree trunks to 2 trailers. I think they were too tired to let us know when they had actually finished, but later as my husband and I inspected the job, we were most pleased! Excellent job with great clean up and a fair amount of cut up firewood. Worth every penny! Hope we don’t have any more tree issues, but if so, Tree Surgeons will be our first call!

Nice job on six trees with age ranges from 15 – 150 yrs. The team was quick and detailed on small and large trees and the price was right. I’ve used this company three previous times and will use in the future.

I am very pleased with the pruning done on my three young live oak trees when I was out of town. Upon returning home the trees looked great and my front and back yard was very clean with no debris left behind.
I thought that I would have to remove one young live oak tree due to its location and possible structural damage it would cause as it matured. I was reassured by Certified Arborist, Jaclyn Smith, after she reviewed the situation, that the tree’s growth should not present further problems. I was very impressed with her knowledge of oak trees and she answered all my questions in a professional and clear manner.

I contacted Austin Tree Surgeons on a Sunday via their website. The next day (Monday), their arborist Jaclyn paid me a visit to estimate the job. They had a customer cancellation and were able to get a crew out to me on Tuesday. Quick service! Service performed by Miguel and crew in mid January 2015.
I have 11 mature Live Oaks; it was a large job involving limb removal, eliminating deadweight and lifting branches off of the roof. Also, I had a Chinese Pistache tree planted by the same crew. They took about 4 hours and were extremely thorough, even blowing the detritus off of the roof, patio and deck. The crew had a great attitude and were there to answer whatever questions or concerns I had.
The invoice was generated and paid through their website. Very quick and smooth.
I was immensely impressed with their body of work and I heartily recommend them as arborists /​tree trimming specialists in the Austin area!

I had a 2 story bur oak tree removed, two trees trimmed back from the roof line, a very large live oak cleaned of small dead branches and vines, a large agave removed that had bloomed and a large brush pile removed.
The crew of 6 did a great job of getting the work done and cleaned up after all the cuttings and sawdust. The process was well done too, simple online invoicing process and payment options, all secured with paypal.
Very impressed and would have them do any future work I might need!

I’m very pleased I hired Brad and his team to prune the trees on our property. We have a mix: older, larger live oaks on the sides of the house, smaller live oaks in the front planted when the neighborhood was developed (10 – 15 years ago), and in the backyard, a youngish cedar elm and a very large, circular motte of old live oaks.
The older trees were thinned out, cleaned up, and raised so no one has to duck around the yard any more. Same thing with the newer trees– the beauty of the work with these, though, is that they now actually look like trees versus giant shrubs on a trunk.
The brush was hauled away and the yard was left spotlessly clean. Aside from the great-​looking trees, you wouldn’t have known they were there. Everyone involved was a pleasure to deal with and they finished the job right at their very fair original estimate.
Having professionals prune your trees can get a little spendy, but here in the land of oak wilt, I believe it’s money well spent. Disease aside, the beauty of a job done correctly is worth the cost, too.
I will hire Austin Tree Surgeons again and I recommend them without hesitation.

What really stood out for us was the professionalism, competency and efficiency displayed by Austin Tree Surgeons. Our arborist, Jessica was thorough, courteous and professional. She took the time to answer my questions and help me understand what was needed vs. what work could wait for a while before it needed to be attended to. She was patient with my questions and her professionalism really made such a
good impression. The prices quoted was very reasonable and comparable.
Javier and his crew were just plain good. Javier took the time to clarify
with me throughout, the work and checked back with me,
throughout the process. The clean-​up job was exceptional.

We finally bought our dream home but not without having a ton of work to do in the backyard. At first we thought we could handle it but the trees were another story. I called the tree surgeon after speaking to another tree company. Their rates were comparable but they were able to see me in a more timely manner. I would definitely recommend this company for a job well done.

I used them recently for the first time to have two 20 foot oak trees in my front yard trimmed and have the health of one assessed. I was very impressed.
I found them via an online search. It was quick to fill out their online service request form and I was contacted by phone the same day about my trees. They then had a rep out to my home the next day. She gave me a fair quote on the trimming and provided some advice on the stressed tree. I followed her recommendation and had great results. If something more serious was going on she gave me a referral to a tree disease specialist just in case I didn’t see improvement. I didn’t need to use it thankfully, but it was nice to have that referral regardless.
The Austin Tree Surgeons crew was able to come to my home the following day. The clean up was immaculate and, most importantly, the trees looked great. My neighbor agreed because he hired them as well. We now have the best looking trees on the block. Thanks for the great service!

I emailed a request for an estimate on the Wednesday morning. Received an email acknowledgement from a person within a few hours. Received a call Wednesday afternoon from the arborist who had been out to my house and was provided with an estimate and a date when the work could be done (next day). Work was done the next day, and an excellent job it was. The trees were pruned back nicely, the cuts were properly sealed, the yard was cleaned. A job very well done and worth 5 stars!

This week my wife and I decided to get our trees trimmed. We looked into several quotes however Austin Tree Surgeon had the best offer. The company was prompt and I scheduled the trees to get trimmed the following day. They had a specialist come out in the morning to mark the branches that needed to be cut and then about an hour later a crew of men showed up and went to work. Both of my trees look beautiful. The men that cut the trees properly cleaned all the equipment and sprayed sealer on all branches that were cut. Everyone was very nice and the company provided excellent customer service. I would not only recommend this company friend and others but plan to use them in the future.

This company is outstanding. The estimator (Brad) is professional, thorough and his follow-​up is excellent. They sent a crew in no time and the work was performed quickly and professionally. They had a lot of work to do in my backyard but they were finished in a few hours and the debris was removed 100%. This is the second time I have used this company and I will continue to use and recommend them.

I am tired of getting wacked in the head. Seriously, how many times in one morning can I get hit in the head. The answer is a dozen.
So with a pounding headache, I stop mowing my lawn to check Unilocal for a tree trimmer. I bookmarked my choice and visited their site. I filled in the form to get a price estimate. By the next day, I had an email response. I told him that I had a large oak tree that needed trimming. It is nice that it blocks my view of the over the fence houses. Brad was able to come by the following day to look at my tree while I was at work.
I only have one huge tree which in my backyard. My neighbors on both sides have trees that hang over into my property. Brad recommended trimming back the branches of my neighbor’s trees so they don’t touch my house. Over the phone he gave me a rough estimate of $ 500.00. I was taken back at the amount, so Brad told me to think about it and he will email me the detailed quote.
I looked over the quote and most of the cost was for my Head Wacking tree. So I go for the whole package. I called Brad and told him to trim it all. He and his crew came the next day, and they emailed me an invoice. Very trusting but I guess they know where I live.
The job they did was outstanding. My tree was thinned out and all the low hanging branches were gone. Even with this trim, it still blocked me from seeing my neighbor’s house. That means I can continue nude sunbathing in my backyard.
Their prices may be a bit high but the job they did was well worth it.

I had these folks out to a rental property of mine in Pemberton Heights.
When compared to the 3 other quotes I got from competing tree trimmers, they were well under Davey’s and competitive with the other two. I decided to go with them because the owner seemed down to earth and I had heard good things about them from a couple of people I know.
They removed 4 large 12−24″ diameter trees, cleared up a huge chevy tahoe-​sized pile of brush, and did some routine trimming on the house. Needless to say, it was a couple of day job.
I was out of the state while they were working on the house, but according to the tenant they did a good job throughout the process. Since its been a month or two since they were at the house, I would say the collateral damage from this many large trees coming down was quite minimal. Overall, nothing much was damaged.
Overall, this company passed muster. Ill probably be having them out to do my primary residence later in the year.
