Amy’s– an austin staple and a must go for ice cream lovers! I personally love the richness of their ice cream– after all, you don’t go eat ice cream to diet, you eat it because it’s delicious.(in moderation). I always go for half sweet cream and half coffee. Both are very flavorful and don’t have the cloying quality that I hate. Grab a cup or a cone, and go down to the park area and enjoy the view and the cow statues. Congratulations, you are an Austinite.

Seriously nothing in the world tops mexican vanilla ice cream with strawberries(except for maybe coffee and mexican vanilla topped with strawberries). This and Lick are hands down the best ice cream in Austin.

Nice, thick, dairy filed icecream. They’ve got several flavored options and plenty of toppings for your liking. I kept it simple with a tiny strawberry ice-cream. I believe as a Californian we’re no longer used to the richness of milk in ice-cream, I come from the land of frozen yogurt. But I was okay with my $ 3 try.

Amy’s Ice cream is delicious. We have visited various locations a number of times and most recently, we had them cater our April 2013 wedding. For about $ 180, we had ice cream for 80 people(not all of them ate). They brought three flavors and 4 toppings. The one minus was that people had to line up to get it, but it was tasty…

I love Amy’s. The staff at every location I’ve been to is friendly and so very nice. I love the quality of the ice cream and the playful décor. But what really prompted this review was the fact that I dropped my auto insurance card in one of the shops and they were nice enough to mail it back to me(with coupons! Who does that?!). The letter itself was handwritten and contained their wonderful jokes. I love you, Amy’s Ice Creams.

wow! every year I come back for the Chocolate covered strawberries and the staff at the store have helped me make my valentines day extra special for my sweetheart. I am so glad that they were able to help me complete my order. Whew! last year I missed out and was not able to get some because I did not preorder. Guys if you have a chance you should try to preorder either online or in the stores! Seriously they are the best you’ll find!!! If you have not had them yet you should reserve yours soon!!! Thank you Amy’s for making my day!!!

This might be a super unpopular opinion, but at least you know that I don’t like everything and I stand by what I say. I have reasons why I gave Amy’s only 2 stars… 1) I think they are overpriced. 2) Too much milk. 3) I’m not that in to ice cream. Okay, okay, I know #3 is not their fault, but #1 and #2 are. I think you should just bear in mind what kind of ice cream you like. If you enjoy super creamy ice cream then I think Amy’s would be a 5 starer for you. Me? I’ve had better. Sorry Austin.

I was on the catering team at Amy’s for 2 years! Fun stuff, although I’ve now moved on to a ‘big girl job’ I think it’s only fair to let everyone in on one of Austin’s best kept secrets: Amy’s Ice Creams Catering! The flavors that they typically bring are Mexican Vanilla, Belgian Chocolate, Strawberry and Oreo! You can sub other flavors but I think there’s an extra charge. They can do toppings as well and those are Heath Bar, Oreo, pecans and M&Ms, or even make it a sundae event and add hot fudge and freshly cut strawberries. Yum. I had a blast at that job, worked all kinds of events ranging from employee appreciation(a ton), fire drills, b-day parties, weddings, even went on set for Friday Night Lights!
