Summary:
After wasting 3 weeks of my time, I finally find out that Briley’s doesn’t want my business, and I’m pretty sure they never did. It couldn’t be that they’re too busy, because I told them I’d be happy to wait until there’s an opening in their schedule. I don’t think that it could be about money, because I fully expected the repairs to be in the thousands. I really have no idea why they flat out do not want my business.
Now that I’ll be starting from scratch with a new company, I suppose I’ll do what Briley’s suggested multiple times; use Spruce or Long instead because they actually want new business. Unless you want to waste your time, I suggest you do the same.

Forgive me, it’s lengthy, but I feel that people should be forewarned.
On 8÷28÷14 Briley’s (Rebecca) came out to inspect my sectional sofa & two chairs so that they could create a quote for repairs needed. Briley’s created the quote for Build a Sofa (the company that built the furniture & delivered it with multiple defects). For some reason, Build a Sofa decided to contract out the repairs instead of fixing them in-​house.
On 2÷17÷15 I was told that Build a Sofa wasn’t going to pay to repair the furniture defects.
So, since I couldn’t leave the furniture as is, I decided to contact Briley’s to do the repairs for me. They have a great reputation on Unilocal and they’d already inspected the pieces so they seemed like the obvious choice.
On 2÷18÷15 I called Rebecca and asked her if she could send me a quote for the work. I never saw the quote they created for Build a Sofa, so I had no idea what it might cost.
Rebecca said «Sure» and asked me to send an email to their estimates department, detailing our conversation.
I sent the email right away.
A week later, on 2÷25÷15, I called Briley’s for an update, because I hadn’t heard from them. The receptionist told me that she was sorry; they were really busy; and she’d inquire about my quote and have someone get back to me.
The following week, on 3÷6÷15, I called back for an update, because I still hadn’t been contacted. I was told (by a different receptionist) that she was sorry and that she’d speak to Rebecca about it right away. I was put on hold and when she came back, she told me that «Rebecca says she’ll finish the quote and have it to you by the end of the day».
An hour or so later, I get a call from the same receptionist. She says that Rebecca suggests that I might want to find a different upholstery company because they’re too busy to fit my sofa into the schedule anytime soon and that it would be a few months before they have an opening in their schedule. I told her, «Okay, I understand. Having to wait is totally fine by me. I actually wouldn’t be ready to jump right into it anyway, so waiting a few months won’t make a difference to me. But I do need a quote for the work now, because I have no idea how much this will cost and I need to be able to plan.» She agreed that made sense and that she’d let Rebecca know.
The third week, on 3÷12÷15, I called again because I’d still never heard back from them. I spoke with Diane, and explained the situation, and she said she’d call Rebecca. I reiterated that I understand they won’t be able to work on my sofa for several months. And that I just need for them to forward me the quote, that they’d already created, so that I have some idea of how much money to set aside.
Diane called me back about 20 minutes later. She said that Rebecca suggested that I use Long or Spruce instead and that Briley’s was too busy to get to my furniture anytime soon. I told Diane that I know they’re backed up and I’m totally fine with waiting; that it’s really no problem. Diane seemed like she didn’t know what to say in response. I asked if there was something wrong and she said that she was just relaying the info that Rebecca told her. She seemed very uncomfortable, like there was something she wasn’t saying. I thought about it for a minute and asked her, «Let me ask you… if I wait until the schedule opens up, are you still not going to be able to fit me in for some reason?» She paused and said, «I don’t know, Rebecca just thinks that you should use Long or Spruce instead». Dumbfounded, I asked her «…Is there something wrong with my business? I’m saying that I have no problem waiting until your schedule is open. I am only asking you to forward an email.» (Silence). I tentatively asked, «…Do you not want my business?» She seemed like she didn’t know how to respond and she just said «I’m just telling you what Rebecca said». After another weird silence, I quietly said, «Okay… thanks…» and we hung up.
It’s got to be the weirdest experience I’ve ever had with a company. I felt like I was actually begging for Briley’s to take my money, and they didn’t want it.

I called upon Briley’s to help with some pillows and they did an excellent job.
2 pillows I have needed to have zippers added. The old stuffing had become lumpy & clumpy, so I had opened the seam to empty them out. I realized that sewing them closed would be short-​sighted & that they should have zippers. Not being talented with a sewing machine, I brought the empty pillows to Briley’s and had long zippers added. They did a nice job — I had a hard time even seeing the new zippers they were so well-​concealed. Now I can refill the pillows whenever they need a boost.
I also brought them fabric for 2 more pillows of the same size as the original 2. They made me new pillows, complete with zippers and the edge treatment of my choosing, and I could not be more pleased.
Since my pillows are non-​standard sized rectangles, I opted to stuff them myself, but I could have had Briley’s create custom fit pillow inserts for me as well for an extra fee. I prefer to have the firmess be adjustable to my liking so I didn’t go for new inserts. Therefore, any lumpiness in the photo is attributable to my stuffing, not to Briley’s work product.
I was not in any rush and the work took about 10 days. Cost was around $ 100 for the whole job which I consider very reasonable. Highly recommended!

I am very pleased with the upholstery work that Briley’s did on my 10 dining room chairs, 2 slip covered club chairs, and single seat cushion. All the pieces look better than they did when they were new. Especially the striped, slipcovered club chairs. Instead of running another piece of noticeable Velcro up the back, they put a zipper in the side seam that is not even noticeable. Amber was very easy to work with (via e-​mail/​pictures), great young men that picked-​up/​delivered the pieces, and the price was what they quoted. I would definately use them again and highly recommend their talents.

Fast and seamless (ha ha) craftsmanship. Turnaround time was within a day but it just took them less than two hours. Thank you Briley’s
