All Tune and Lube Austin was founded by two friends Kevin Derting and Lew Boehm. Both of us were tired of working for big corporations and wanted an opportunity to bring quality, honest automotive service at a fair price to the Austin area. The results have been exciting. I grew up in Detroit, MI. As a young adult working on cars was a hobby and passion. One of my favorite projects involved restoring a Corvair which we used to drive to high school. It truly was unsafe at all speeds although it looked and ran great. I graduated from DeLaSalle Collegiate HS in 1983 and Central Michigan University in 1987. I spent the majority of my working life at IBM, first in Boca Raton, FL and finally here in Austin, TX.

My main hobby is coaching girls fast pitch softball. As manager of the Texas Comets Gold for 13 years now we have sent over 30 girls to college on softball scholarships.

We cannot say enough about this place! We have been using them for a few years and refer everyone we know. Recently we just had our brakes done, fantastic job as always. We had also had our car in to the dealership for a recall. They told us we needed $ 1500 of work, that we ultimately did not need. I trust this place!
We have had an array of things done here with complete satisfaction; brakes; transmission flushes, timing, belts, state inspections, rotors, oil changes you name it!
You won’t disappointed — their service is amazing.

I may live on the south side of Austin now but that doesn’t stop me from going here. Everyone is friendly, I don’t feel pressured into buying things I may not need, and I always feel like I’m getting the most accurate information in regards to any issues with my car. I can’t recommend All Tune enough. Definitely worth the drive here.

This is the only place we take our car to be serviced. They are always professional and will explain what’s happening with the car in plain English. Repairs are made in a timely manner and with reasonable expense.

I definitely recommend this place for your car needs. My car knowledge is very limited and I like that I don’t feel like an idiot communicating with the mechanics. What great guys. I needed some routine maintenance done (that I don’t do routinely), AND I had a noise … I was really afraid of a huge bill. Friendly staff and they are honest about repairs and consult with you before moving forward. They even took me out to the car to show me the problem with my alignment. Took longer than expected but they acknowledged that and apologized as they were waiting on a part to be delivered. When they backed my car up I realized I had a brake light out but no time to fix it. They called later and offered to change it for free if I could come back another day since the repairs took longer than they thought. That sold me!

Dave is a gem, they were able to squeeze me in at 4:00 for a complicated oil change. Everyone was very nice and while my car did not qualify for the Unilocal deal they gave me a discount anyway. Nice guys!

Phenomenal customer service. Kevin and Dave were a complete pleasure to work with.
I heard a noise coming from my front wheel that sounded like metal on metal, so I brought my car into this place purely based on Unilocal Reviews. I was not disappointed.
They called me and let me know my brakes needed to be replaced. Pricing was completely fair based on what they did. They even pointed out a problem I had that I noticed when I was driving but didn’t realize it was related to my brakes.
My car runs SO much better now. I didn’t even know how bad it was running until I got the brakes fixed by ATL :)
As someone who is not knowledgeable about cars, I am always nervous that I will be lied to about what I need to get done on my car and end up getting charged more than I should. These guys checked out my entire system, told me I needed my brakes fixed and even told me my car was in top shape other than that. He mentioned a Fuel System clean up but specifically told me, «you really don’t need it right now, just have it in the back of your head for later down the line.»
They also shuttled me back and forth to my apartment since I live close to the garage.

I don’t know how lube service can be any better. I went in without an appointment, hoping to receive a quick oil change and decided to have my annual inspection done while there.
They completed both in the originally quoted 30 minutes. Everyone was polite and professional, the facility was clean (for automotive – I wouldn’t order dinner there) and they offered freshly made popcorn.
In addition to the services I paid for, they very kindly checked my tire pressure, filled the tires to spec and turned off my annoying tire pressure light. They’re my go to place for the future!
