A neurosurgeon who can explain in conversational language exactly what’s shown by spine MRIs! A neurosurgeon who — wait for it but sit down first –listens to the patient! Answers all questions in a helpful way, even when he has to say that he can’t help with things outside his realm of study, or that he doesn’t know about EMGs. I’ve been on disability from an accident long ago & have fought off all suggestions of spinal surgery for decades. Per my G.P. and my general surgeon, I was certain I now required it, and that it should’ve been done a year ago, so when the specialist who would do the surgery says I don’t need it and can explain why I don’t need it, this is an all round superb doc. My general surgeon gave me his name because of personal, direct experience with the quality of Dr. Kim’s surgical skills; he said nothing about the guy’s integrity, complete lack of the usual AMA-required side of condescension, great gift for clear& simple explanations, nor that Dr. Kim seems like a genuinely kind and compassionate human. I just can’t say enough good about the guy. Yes, he has that large deposit against no shows in new patients, but it’s released if you show up on time. I’m very glad that I didn’t let that turn me off this fabulous healer. If you need a neurosurgeon in Central Texas, this is the one.
