My partner and I stopped in at the bar briefly for lunch and coffee before going to the High Museum. The bartenders were friendly and attentive. The espresso was great, and my partner enjoyed her drip coffee. We split the Thyme Roast Chicken Paillard and they split it up onto two plates without us having to ask – very cool! The chicken was perfectly cooked and the risotto was very flavorful. The portion was perfect for lunch. No complaints, and we’ll be back next time we visit the High.

The perfect place for a reasonable and elegant dinner in midtown. I recommend the maple bourbon salmon.

My friend and I decided to stop by for lunch after viewing an exhibit at the High.
We decided to share the salmon flatbread and the meatloaf sandwich.
The flathead was ok– I am a salmon lover, but there was just not a lot of flavor to this at all. It had great potential though– maybe a little more salt or even some capers?
The meat loaf sandwich was to die for and even if you don’t like meatloaf, you will LOVE this sandwich! It feeds two– I was stuffed before I could even finish my half. It’s loaded with cheddar cheese, bacon, and some type of tomato jam– just heavenly!
Prices: Reasonable
Service: great (Jaye was our server)
Cleanliness of the dining area: excellent
Bathroom: disgusting — no toilet paper in any of the stalls and the middle stall was quite vile.
Front end staff: snobby
I will return because there are a few other menu items I would like to try.

I find it hysterical when restaurants that are trying to exude class resort to pompous and pretentious attitudes. I am typically a fair to gracious rater of restaurants so based on my experience, someone may have given this place a 1 or a 0. We made a 7:45 reservation earlier in the day to which when we walked in, were immediately «greeted» with a cold — «our kitchen closes at 8.» I took the liberty of apologizing to our waitress explaining that we were from out of town and we didn’t know. Her response was nothing more than a pursed-​lipped smirk. The entire dining experience was uncomfortable and we all felt unwanted.
Our meal ended with more sassy comments about the our payment («you’re girlfriends should thank you for treating them all») and a comment about my name («I bet you were teased as a child huh?»)
Bottom line: horrible service, mediocre food.

We made reservations for 7:45 and no one mentioned to us the kitchen closed at 8 until we walked in the door. They made us feel guilty for being there even though they had accepted the reservation. We apologized to the waitress about coming in so late and she just scoffed at us. We felt rushed and uncomfortable the whole dinner. Overall, they made it seem like they were doing us a favor for allowing us to dine in their presence. Food was mediocre.

How pretentious can this place possibly be? Oh, you have got to be kidding me.
No, snotty Mr. Millennial Host at the front, you are not an elite anything, nor are you a character in The Devil Wears Prada, though you undeservedly act like it. Yes, we were (gasp!) 8 minutes early for our table. We didn’t have to go «wait in the bar», said to us with full David Spade SNL snark.
To be fair, the waiter was pleasant and very good. A ray of sun in a fog of unwarranted LA-​style, artsy ‘tude.
Food was pretty good, though the fries and my wife’s crab cakes were a bit cold.
But the damage was done up front. You would think they are paying *me* to be in *their* presence. Yikes. Without a show to attend, I’d never bother to return. Not sure I will even with a show ticket in my hand.

Very good spot in downtown ATL. Came for wine tasting and great service and really good wine selection. 10 dif wines for $ 15. Only made it to 3.5 but excellent time.

After an unhurried stroll through the High Museum of Art, I walked into this hidden gem. I ordered a vegetable farro with salmon. Delicious. Each vegetable was cooked to perfection without loosing its integrity. Salmon was cooked to my specifications– crunchy on the outside and flaky in the middle. The dish was a tad bit salty for my taste. But the ambiance, friendly staff (especially Khalila) and timely service made this a memorable dining experience.

Beautiful atmosphere, great food, reasonable price and the kid’s meal is a great deal with a bowl full of fresh sweet fruits, chicken fingers, a bowl of fries, and a drink for $ 6.50. My daughter enjoys it a lot.

For years, I’d walked right past Table 1280 on my way to the High Museum. I always thought it was just for patrons of the Woodruff Arts Center.
One of my girlfriends wanted to meet up for dinner before Friday Night Music Remix at the High. The reservation wasn’t until 6:30 but traffic was lighter than expected and I got there just before 6. I found free on-​street parking on 15^th Street near The Castle.
I waited in the bar/​lounge area until she arrived. Most of the red blood cell shaped lounge chairs were occupied. There were more windows than walls in there, creating a greenhouse effect. It was really warm so fortunately I didn’t have to wait long for my friend.
We asked the host, James, if we could bump up our reservation to 6. He did and escorted us to seats in a corner of the dining room, which was about ²⁄₃ full. The stark white walls and very high ceilings gave it an airy feel.
A wall of windows looked out onto the Sifly Piazza. There was an art installation of spinning tops called «Los Trompos» outside and it was fun watching people snap selfies as they twirled on merry-​go-​rounds of yarn.
There were an array of appetizers, salads and entrées for chicken, beef and seafood lovers; there were even vegetarian and gluten free options. The drink menu featured beer, wine and cocktails and the non-​alcoholic beverages were exclusively Coca-​Cola products.
I got the Maple Bourbon Atlantic Salmon ($ 17). It was sitting on a mélange of sweet potato, shiitake mushrooms, caramelized onion and spinach. The fish was fresh tasting and flavorful even without the pancetta. The sautéed veggies added an earthy sweetness.
I had room for dessert and there were three options: Apple Crumb Cheesecake, Chocolate Fudge Cake with Bourbon Mousse and the Key Lime Martini. (They aren’t part of the standing menu and change regularly.) Each was $ 6.
Our server, Andrea, recommended the martini and I’m glad she did. A creamy, key lime mousse was layered with graham cracker crumbs, topped with a layer of white chocolate shavings and kissed with a maraschino cherry. Yum!
Even though my meal was tasty, I felt the portions were small for the expense. But the space was classy and the service was friendly. Overall, Table 1280 offers good eats in Atlanta’s cultural arts district.

This restaurant is conveniently located if you’re going to a concert, play or visiting the High but I cannot recommend it as a destination. The self-​important décor is just precious and annoying. Look how artsy and chic we are! There’s not a single decorative element in here to keep this place from looking like a prison or mental ward! You could overlook that if the food was good, the service was prompt or the wine list was impressive. No, no and no.
Next time I will eat ahead of time.

Came here for a drink before an event at the woodruff arts center and sat in the lounge area. Enjoyed the vibe and friendly service.
Had lunch a few days later before going to the high art museum
Food: both my mom and I had the chopped salad and it was delicious. We added the grilled chicken and it really didn’t even need the dressing. I love salads with blue cheese and dried cranberries. The sweet potato was a delicious addition. Grandma had the chicken salad and recommended it.
Service: meh. Just okay. Granted we came in around 3, at an off hour.
Atmosphere: Very modern, pretty cool.
Overall, a great place to go before a show or visit to the High Museum. Wouldn’t recommend going out of your way, but convenient if you’re already going somewhere on the campus.

Easily the worst dining experience we’ve had in a long time.
We arrived in the late afternoon, hoping to be seated to an early dinner. We were told we could order takeout and seat ourselves outside, with no wait service. As we were waiting for a 7:30 program, we sat outside the entire time, noting many empty tables unoccupied by diners. Perhaps they had heard about the poor food and inattentive staff.
We ordered, paid for our food and were reminded not to even eat in the bar area. We made our way to the courtyard. We opened our packages to see that we had not been given appropriate condiments for our meal. No matter: nothing could have rectified the overcooked previously-​frozen hamburger patty which was so greasy that the bottom bun was soaked all the way through. The appetizer, soup and fries ranged from unremarkable to dismal.

This is an overly fancy looking restaurant with underwhelming food (we got the burger and fries).
First of all, 3 of us ordered the burger because we weren’t that hungry and we paid for parking for the museum anyways. The «brioche» bun was dry, flavorless, and probably wouldn’t go well with any burger. I don’t remember brioche buns being so… sandy. The dry buns accompanied two «Never Frozen» never seasoned over-​cooked patties.
Next, they brought out the ketchup in these slightly fancy sectioned dishes that made it look like the ketchup was made in house. But no. It’s Heinz. Why don’t you just bring us the bottle of Heinz ketchup then, so that we don’t have to keep asking for more ketchup for our dry burger?
For a restaurant that can’t even serve a decent burger, I am afraid of how the other dishes taste.

Had a $ 40 bottle of white wine brought to table in ice bucket that had not been chilled. Sent it back and ordered wine by the glass. We ordered the salmon and steak and had it served in less than ten minutes. No way it could have been cooked that fast. Wife and I go to several black tie events a year so I know banquet food when I see it. To our surprise the food was really good.
Long story short reasonable prices, very convenient location beside Alliance Theater. If you want fast food that may be precooked this is your place.
If not do yourself favor and take the time to go somewhere else.

I had dinner here before a play at the Alliance. Great place to grab a quick bite before a play if you’re in a rush. If you have more time on your hands I would hit somewhere else.
Service:
Our waitress was nice and handled the pre-​play rush with aplomb. She was really quick and knew her menu. They were out of the wine we wanted and she came back with a wine in the same price point.
Food:
I had the «chopped» salad. Maybe I’m confused I thought chopped salads came with meats. This one was just salad stuff. Really plain. No meat. I think a few crumbles of blue cheese. Very dry and boring. My friend had the Ahi tuna and liked it.
Atmosphere:
If minimalist done in white on white is your thing you will love this place.
So…if somebody else picks this place as where to eat before a play and I can’t talk them out of it I will be back. If not I’ll hit Shout beforehand.

My company decided to treat me to lunch as a «welcome to the team» gesture and this place was chosen because it’s walking distance from the office.
The place has a very contemporary look and feel to it. Very airy with a lot of natural light coming in. Bordering the High Museum, this place gets a mix of business clientele and museum-​goers.
When we asked for seating for 8 they gave us a hard time and said they could only seat 7 in a group. They offered to split us in two tables of four, but our group wanted to sit together. After some back and forth they eventually pushed two tables together and sat us.
Things went smoothly from that point and we our orders were promptly taken. My turkey wrap with fries were okay. It wasn’t much better than something I could order from Jason’s Deli. The presentation, however, was really nice.
The chef came out and asked about the food and answered some questions from my vegetarian colleagues. He went into detail about his techniques and was very confident in his work. You could tel he takes prides in what he does. And while he creates a good wrap, it’s still just a wrap.
Overall, it’s a decent place to visit if you’re in the area and it’s in a very convenient location in Midtown.

Stopped here after visiting the High Museum. The service was friendly but on the slow side. Nice ambiance, but I’m not sure I would return. I only tried the drinks, not the food.

I enjoyed a great late afternoon lunch with my best friend at Table 1280 after spending the afternoon in Midtown exploring the Woodruff Arts Center and surrounding neighborhood. The décor is clean and boasts minimal interior design with a few pops of colors and natural wood finishes. My favorite feature is the entrance walkway that is literally filled from top to bottom with bottles of wine. This is the type of design that wine lovers like myself dream about! In addition, this bare approach works for the restaurant given its location in the busy arts center that houses the High Museum of Art and the Alliance Theater. Our bartender and server, Natasha, was very personable and chatty in a charming way. She also can make a stellar Moscow mule (even though it was her first time mixing the drink) and some delicious custom drinks!
I enjoyed the seared ahi tuna salad that features seared rare ahi tuna, yummy teriyaki glaze, field greens, napa cabbage, avocado, cucumber, tomato, crispy wonton, carrots, and scallion & soy ginger dressing. It was very tasty and filling. My buddy ordered the harvest cobb salad that features a romaine wedge, craisins, sweet potato, feta cheese, candied pecans, egg, tomato, and sweet herb feta dressing. Overall, I enjoyed my first visit to Table 1280 and look forward to stopping by for more great food, excellent customer service, and top-​notch drinks and wine.
