Yes, i had the infamous peanut butter french toast, artery clogging, mantastic, big time breakfast. Yes, i ate it all. Then i died…

This place is absolutely wonderful. The staff are very friendly and the food is exceptional and very fairly priced! I had a sausage and egg biscuit that was to die for and the sweet potato pancakes which were heavenly. I liked this place so much I came here two days in a row from breakfast and it is only 2 minutes walking from the W midtown. For a great breakfast and southern delicacies, come here! I love this place and would go back in a heartbeat. My only criticism is their coffee was average.

NOMNOMNOM. It’s Highland Bakery! What did you expect. I like this location better. Not as crowded, easier ordering, free valet(please make sure to tip though). Make sure you order some Blueberry ricotta pancakes! MMMMMM! *mouth waters*. Make sure to pay attention when looking for it though. If you’re already on Peachtree your GPS may give you directions to turn into TAP Gastropub. It’s in the same building but not on the same side. Turn left off of peachtree just before reaching TAP and you’ll see Highland on the immediate right. The garage is to the immediate right next to it.

This spot was great! Pretty packed but almost no wait and the food options here were incredible. My meal was an incredible mix — corn pancakes with black beans, salsa, cheese, and sour cream. It was absolutely delicious. On the way out I picked up a lemon bar and a sweet potato biscuit. Oh, did I mention they bake all of their own breads and have a fantastic bakery. Good for couples and singles and although I saw families it doesn’t seem conducive — the space is pretty tight. Definitely a place I’ll revisit next time I’m in town.

We live half of a block away and rarely come here. Today I was reminded why. You can’t help but feeling like your sheep being herded when you enter this place. Everyone is yelling and it’s mass chaos. We did get through the line very quickly with someone taking our coffee order while Coco the cashier took our food order. Coco would excel at a production factory, not in a customer service field. She had no personal skills and didn’t want to hear what we had to say; talking over us while we were ordering with her and not even answering our questions. It was a stressful experience. We ordered the highland breakfast with a croissant instead of toast. It got to our table looking like a very unappetizing plate. The eggs were very messy and everything just seemed plopped on the plate. My boyfriend eventually found a manager and let him know of our dissatisfaction with Coco. He later came to our table top apologize and assured us he’d talk to her. Again, today was simply a reminder of why we hardly come here although we live half a block away. Very unfortunate.

My friend and I came here for some coffee to wait for our table at South City Kitchen. This place is pretty small and the line was pretty long with only one person at the cashier. People here look overworked and tired — the lady helping with getting people coffee and pastries before getting to the cashier seemed like she was in a rush and just didn’t have a lot of patience. Either way though, I got my small coffee for less than 2 bucks. Since I was waiting to eat lunch elsewhere, I didn’t end up getting any pastries, but they’re cupcakes and cookies looked really good. I do like the«outdoor» seating area they have which is in the office building next door(they’re connected). There is a giant glass window which lets in a lot of the natural lights(but without the rain!).

When you go here, go with an appetite or be prepared to share because the portions are huge and the food is super tasty. The waiter was awesome too. I have never been to their other location, but if you want fresh brunch food, this is really good. I had eggs benedict and everyone I was with had a different breakfast. All enjoyed it.

The girl who answers the phone on Friday morning is awful!!! That on top of the required paid parking turned me off. I headed straight to the Old 4th Ward(original) location. It’s like the opposite! How can one brand be so different in service across its locations? Things would probably change if the person that takes the phone orders was much more cheerful. I’m the one that said«Thanks» to her on the phone(which should be the reverse by the way) and all she says is «uh huh». Lame

Whoa, what can I say. This place is fabulous! I had the sweet potato pancake and turkey sausage. I could have passed on the sausage. it was dry. However, these pancakes were beyond amazing!

Overrated. That describes this place. For a bakery, their bagels are not very good. They taste like they are whole wheat — I’ve had 4 different kinds. As for their brunch, it’s a little expensive but I think a lot of places are. I think they’re known for a few different things but my sister had the French toast. It came out as a full loaf of bread with some sweet crunch on the outside. The rest was just bread. It’s good for a quick serve breakfast for the people who work near it, and the iced coffee is good.

My coworkers and I dined here for lunch on a Friday and if you do the same, make sure to come early! Ordering is a very rushed process – the line forms right when you walk inside the doors, and there’s not much time to look around or decide before they say, «next!» and you’re expected to make a decision. I quickly chose to order a half and half – half of their house salad and half of the roast beef sandwich. We quickly grabbed a table and although in random order, the food for our entire table of 8 arrived in less than 15 minutes. My salad and sandwich were very delicious. All the ingredients were fresh and light. I’m not sure what it is, but the balsamic vinaigrette that accompanies their house salad is some of the best balsamic I’ve ever had… it was truly addicting and I couldn’t get enough! The roast beef sandwich, a bit spicy and heavy with its spicy remoulade, was also delicious and packed with roast beef. I’m quite impressed for $ 8.99! Definitely a good lunch pick.

Come in and order at the counter, get a number, and find a seat. The ladies behind the counter were not very friendly and they closed the seating section, so we sat in the atrium, which was okay because it was sunny, warm, and beautiful. Food was pretty good. Pimento cheese sandwich — nice buttery bread with pimento cheese and the option to add bacon(duh) Italian breakfast — great! A mix of mushrooms, spinach, marinara, and egg on top of two slices of bread. Served with choice of grits of potatoes Corn pancakes — surprisingly lighter than it appears with black beans and salsa Jalapeño focaccia — get this!!! Omg so good. I would certainly come again. Enjoy!

I’ve been to the original many times when I lived in ATL. On my last trip we had some time between meetings in mid-town and figured I’d get a little food. I ordered a cappuccino which was prepared poorly, way too much foam and the espresso was water. I ordered egg and ham on biscuit. I proceeded to sit down with my number, after 15 – 20 minutes I asked about my order. They said oops, and started making it. It wasn’t that good, and they didn’t offer me anything for waiting for so long. Service was pretty poor too.

This location is better than the original in that you can get in without much wait time. This location also has complimentary valet which is nice because parking in the area is limited. The sweet potato pancakes are the best sweet potato pancakes I’ve ever had. A half order if just one pancake is filling enough. Beyond that the rest of the breakfast items are ok. I liked the chicken sausage or maybe it was turkey, whatever it was it was good. Grabbed some cupcakes on the way out and had been my previous experience with highland bakery they were dry. Highland bakery is a pretty subpar bakery. So I’d skip dessert.

I had breakfast here and everything we got was just ok, but the sweet potato pancakes and maple syrup, oh my word… it was so heavenly. It was eyeball-popping-out-of-my-eye-sockets good! I wanted to buy the syrup and take it home, it was so good. Best syrup I have ever ever… ever had. Damn, it was so good! For photos visit my blog!

I was a bit disappointed that this location has a more limited menu than the original highland bakery because I really wanted to try the fried chicken eggs Benedict. Nevertheless, I settled for the peanut butter French toast($ 10.99) which turned out to be quite scrumptious. Note that it is a huge portion though! I recommend splitting it between two people because I could hardly finish half of it myself. It’s really sweet and heavy but yummy! I also got a side of potatoes($ 2.50) which were also good. Idk about weekdays but on the weekends you can park in the adjacent parking garage for free. I hear the original highland bakery has terrible parking so this is a plus for this location.

MEH I thought this place would be better. It is ok, not cheap and both times I ate here I had hair in my food. FOODTAKESFOREVER!!! I mean forever! Had to wait 20 min for a tomato mozzarella sandwich. Sandwich was not good, I mean I know its mozzarella and tomatoes but it was just tasteless. Just not a fan, would not spend my money here. Go across the way and spend your money @ TAP.

#epicfail #epicsuperfail Yep folks that’s how I felt. From the time I walked in to the time I ordered and was told she didn’t know about any of the things I asked for because she doesn’t eat it *insert attitude, neck roll, and why you asking me here* to the time I cleaned our own table to the time one of the staff persons decided to spray a PUBLIC trash can with tons of chemicals as the wind was blowing and sprayed back on us. Yep folks this place was an awful experience. Let’s not even talk about the food or the remaining service. They messed up PLAIN orders, had the audacity to get upset because we wanted them to be fixed. burned the bagels, overcooked everything. I mean why would I go to a restaurant for THIS?! I hear that this is NOT a reflection of all Highland Bakeries. I sure hope not, but I shole ain’t comfy with giving ANYOFTHEM a second try.

Nothing here seems to jump out the menu or have any spectacular dishes. I went to the Buckhead location before and they seemed to have more items on the menu. Midtowns is very very small. So small it feels like I’m at the airport ordering a pre-fixed meal in a container. I got shrimp and grits… It was good but nothing great. I ate the shrimps but grits seemed bland. I would’ve rather had waffle houses grits.
