We are not your traditional Mexican Restaurant. Our spices are South American based and as Vegan as possible. We don’t use any lard or animal stock, so feel free to come down and get a healthy burrito.

Our Fish Tacos are delicious and savory.

Pollock is sauteed in your choice of Lime Juice and Oil or in any of our 5 Salsas. Topped with Salsa, Cabbage, Cheese and our Dairy or Non-Dairy Sauce. Served on a Corn Tortilla.

The Club Burrito. A Hey Juan Burritos Classic. It’s a Shredded Chicken burrito with Rice, Beans, Cheese, Lettuce, and Salsa with a wonderful addition of Bacon and Sour Cream.

Paste of Death. Spicy but flavorful.

We dare you to try it.

History

Established in 1982.

Hey Juan Burritos was opened in Arcata, Ca, as the brother business to Amigas in Eureka. As of August 1, 2003 Hey Juan Burritos switched ownership to Stormy McMakin as well as a few other business partners. Since then the restaurant has no longer been associated with the Eureka shop. Over the years Hey Juan Burritos has had its ups and downs, and Stormy is now the sole business owner. With Stormy’s constant efforts and the help of investors we are at an upswing as far as quality and consistency of our food is considered.

With many satisfied customers, countless regulars, and more champagne than any other business in Humboldt county, Hey Juan Burritos has become a Arcata favorite and popular among the college crowd.

Death Metal Thursday (4:30−10pm) is consistently one of our more popular nights despite what the yelp reviews may say. Advice: If you can’t handle Death Metal, then don’t come in during the 5 ½ hours that we play it a week, or bring earplugs.
